Horrible horrible experience. I have been a member of the gym for 2 years and all of a sudden Hana the ‘manager ‘ decided to ban my membership. When I went to enquire staff member said some lame excuse that weights were left on the floor (which I’ve never done) and that I have been warned. LIE. I’ve never left the weights out nor I have spoken to her. I don’t even know who she is. I asked the staff member to share the CcTv footage where she claims she has spoken to me and they refused. It’s been 10 days and nobody ever got back to me from their management. Still being banned but the worst part is they have taken my money for the month and refused to provide me the service I paid for by lying to a customer’s face. I have joined another gym now and would never ever recommend anyone to go there. Mistakes can happen however if they can’t hold any accountable for their actions then it’s a big RED FLAG. There is no point in complaining as they don’t even respond nor provide any explanations. However I am going to take this further as what they have done is totally unfair and I need my refund for taking my money and not providing me service and for not responding to my complaint for over 2 weeks now.
HANNAH IS APPARENTLY THE GYM MANAGER AT UXBRIDGE, SHE SHOULD NOT BE EVEN ALLOWED TO WORK ANYWHERE AS SHE IS A LIAR AND HOLDS NO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR HER ACTIONS NOR DOES JD GYMS.
I’ve been training at the GD gym in Uxbridge and overall I really like it. The facilities are very good, there is a wide variety of machines, and having the gym open 24 hours is a big plus.
However, there are two small reasons why I’m not giving 5 stars.
The music is always very loud, which feels unnecessary, as most people use headphones and it’s hard to listen to our own music.
Also, during winter the changing rooms can be quite cold, and the heating could be stronger.
Apart from these points, it’s a great gym and I’m happy training here.

I love this gym!!! I have recently returned back to JD GYMS Uxbridge as I heard there was new management and team. I’m so glad I did - they are brilliant. They have made the gym into a community where everyone supports each other and lifts each other up. It’s a home away from home because of the team. I would 1000000% recommend. Best gym in Uxbridge

I’ve been coming to this gym since it opened and I love it! The staff are really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great equipment and a great atmosphere to workout in.
They started an awesome new class today called Engine. Cardio meets strength, but in pairs! Great if you’re training for Hyrox. It was so much fun and such a great workout! I definitely worked harder from all the encouragement Tamara and the rest of the crew were giving out.
I would definitely recommend this gym.

This has to be the best gym I've been to in uxbridge. The staff are so helpful and the manager Hannah and all her dedicated staff go above and beyond. This gym is spotless throughout. This is definitely my happy place. 🥰

I’ve been to so many gyms over the years, but nothing comes close to the atmosphere at JD Gyms Uxbridge. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for.
The managers, Hannah and Elz, are absolutely amazing — friendly, encouraging, and the kind of people who put a smile on your face every time you see them. Their energy and kindness set the tone for the whole gym.
And then there’s Darren… honestly, he is the person you need on your fitness journey. The support, motivation, and genuine love he shows for members is unmatched. Between Hannah, Elz, and Darren, you always feel seen, heard, and supported — exactly what a gym should be.

JD Gyms Uxbridge is an absolutely brilliant gym and easily one of the best I’ve trained at. The facilities are modern, clean, and well maintained, with loads of great equipment and plenty of space no matter the time of day.
A special mention has to go to the Christmas decorations, they really went all out and made the gym feel festive and welcoming without being over the top 🎄. It genuinely adds to the atmosphere and makes training there even more enjoyable during the holiday season.
The staff are what really set this place apart. Hannah and Ellen in particular are fantastic, always friendly, approachable, and happy to help with anything. They create such a positive vibe and make everyone feel welcome the moment you walk through the door.
Highly recommend JD Gyms Uxbridge to anyone looking for a great gym with top facilities and even better staff.

There have been serious concerns raised about male staff entering the women’s changing rooms at JD Uxbridge without prior announcement, which makes many members feel uncomfortable. This behavior has also been reported at other branches, and I believe it needs to be properly investigated. It is concerning that similar complaints were made at JD Milton Keynes, where a staff member was removed after multiple complaints but reportedly transferred to another location. I feel this matter needs urgent attention to ensure all members feel safe and respected at JD gyms.

My QR code access was recently disabled because the caretakers of the gym wanted to block out someone who apparently was drunk. Please note the guy they were trying to block out is inside the gym. The staff didn’t have the courage to confront him. Hence they did some magical calculation in their head to determine what time that person entered the gym and blocked out me (and probably others) who entered gym at the same time.
They didn’t think twice that the users inside the gym will be unable to exit the gym. This happened on a Sunday when they follow lean staffing model. I was luckily helped by one of the trainers while leaving. I waited probably 10mins for someone to help me.
Next time when I came to the gym. My access is not working and the girl at the reception is telling me that we do it always … I hope you were not drunk. Now your access is working so you should be fine. We are going to remove the notes from your profile. This is EMBARRASSING!!!!
Is this a joke??? Is this the kind of treatment you would expect as a customer??? How will you feel if I repeat the same thing with those people who are trying to misuse the authority given to them???
Seems like a bunch of kids managing a gym and walking around the gym to show they are in control. They sign cards on the wall with
weights still all around the gym floor….
I expected some quality with JD prefix in front of the gym, not this nonsense!!!!

An absolute JOKE of a gym. QR codes DO NOT WORK. Multiple times I’ve been STUCK inside the gym or wasted my time going to the gym as the codes don’t even give you access.
God forbid there was an emergency because I would have no way out the building AND the gym is underground!

Quick to take your money but not deliver the services they claim to provide.

I love the location, as I have been an on and off member since 2008 but, for the past few months I don’t feel like going there at all. It seems like some of the staffs feel like they have the authority to test people’s or my patience & they think their passive -aggressive mistreatment can be tolerated for whatever disrespectful reason(s).
I need another gym or even a new town.
Last night I was restricted for the 2nd time by not being able to use my pin and access my hand bag and clothes and even if the gym is closed at 8pm, the contract and the website state 24/7 & women and men should be given the option to clean after themselves when they finish their trainings. Otherwise, just say NOT 24/7.
I could not access the changing nor the toilets for 3hrs. From 7pm till 10:30pm and this has affected my bladder and I had to visit my GP Practice on the 30/10/24 and got some medicines. - Just so you understand what could could be the impact of some small actions from certain staffs.
Thank you for reading it and I hope the head office will look into the matter and resolve the issue which is still inside not on the brands.
