I booked for 41 people with jet smart and they didn’t want to issue the tickets because out of the ~5k$ I paid them, they were missing some 20$ because of their bank fees. We lost around 400$ because their online payment didn’t work (because they don’t want them to work so that they have leverage on you) so we had to do transfers on which they would apply many fees and very disadvantageous xrates.
Furthermore their web platform is a nightmare. It simply doesn’t work. They keep it this way so you can not do any operation online, so you’d have to pay for example for the check in at the desk, because it doesn’t work online.
After many attempts I realized I had to restart my phone and only use the 5g network to be able to do the check in.
If you call their number nobody helps with group issues. They force you to write emails. They do not explain anything. They do not want to help you. They just want you to miss your flight and scam you. I asked them 100 times for solutions. They just repeat the same thing: you need to pay!
I had to send them 100$ so that they would get 20$ through the bank transfer mess.
Avoid at all cost! It’s worth paying double the fare at another company. Beware!
I hope this company will go bankrupt!

Online check in not possible, tried for 2 hrs on 3 different phones. Had to go to the airport 4 hrs before departure to make sure that we didn’t end on waiting list. No help or understanding at the counter. Had to log on the homepage to convince the staff. Never ever again will I use Jet Not Smart. Worst airline ever

Their site asks for your bank details despite my having paid with a credit card!!!!!!

Worst airline I've ever flown with. Charged me £70 in Quito for a small carry on which easily fits in the overhead and never had any issue, then told me it covered my connection but once arriving in Lima I was charged another £40 for the bag to be let on the flight. Absolute scam and extremely rude staff!

jetsmart cancelle carry on payment then at boarding gat would not let us board without paying premium ( exhorbitant) price for carry on. Also the checked bags price was exhorbitant.

My husband and I booked our flights at the same time but were unable to sit together because we didn’t pay extra. This seems to be a new trend with airlines that is quite an appalling money grab - like travel post COVID isn’t expensive enough. Other check in staff at other airlines found seats together for us, however the snooty guy at Jetsmart didn’t care. This is after they changed our flight twice and cost us extra by having to travel to a more distant airport. Not cool.
Better swim than fly with them
The most shi**iest airline and staff i have ever seen. You cannot check in online because the website is horsesh*t and doesn’t work, then they charge you 40 soles for doing the check in at the counter. Staff is laughing and talking between themselves instead of handling our check in, we have waited 15 minutes for a baggage tag because they had stories to tell. I would prefer swimming the distance instead of ever flying with this airline again.

Ridiculous
Ridiculous; my flight included checked baggage (it's on the flight confirmation) but at the counter I was told I only had backpack allowance and had to buy checked luggage again.
Complaints on the website don't work, it just keeps saying 'Sorry, please try again later' when trying to submit also ridiculous that a phone number is mandatory but it only accepts phone numbers from a few LATAM countries.
This is a full scam.
World's worst airline customer service
Worst airline customer service in the world.
The trip has one stop. I was required to get my luggage at that stop and wait to check in that same luggage until their arbitrary deadline of 2 hours before the 2nd flight. They have numerous arbitrary rules like this and do not care how illogical the rules are nor how they inconvenience customers. This is my first and last flight on this airline.
Also, even buying the most expensive seats still meant no reclining seats and they are hard (barely cushioned)

Absolutely the worse airline I've travelled with. Cancelled my flight without notifying me, refused to get me to my destination on the same date, didn't offer compensation for additional accommodation costs, hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager. They don't answer emails yet have no means of being contacted if you don't have a mobile service. Facebook contact is slow and results in nothing being done. Do not book with this useless airline that doesn't even have English speaking managers.
It is not possible to pay with a Visa…system error
It is not possible to pay with a Visa card an extra such as a seat or an extra luggage. When I arrive in the airport you have to pay 30% more. Showing the screenshot of five times doesn’t maken the difference. Second point trying to rebook or get a refund on a flight that was delayed by them in the schedule is impossible. Very lousy customer service with agents who can do nothing for you. I will never fly this airline anymore in my life.

Without any doubt the worst company I travelled with.
I was with my girlfriend who travels with me and at the boarding moment the steward separated us because apparently we did not have the same zone in the plane.
She went in the plane and once it was my turn, the same steward controlling the bags told me i had 2 bags but one was the bag that i hold for my girlfriend (she was on crutches ) so that's why I was carrying her bag.
So we were respecting the rules (only one bag for me, one for her, sizes respected), i even showed the other bag and it was girl clothes to prove that it was her bag but the steward did not listen and made me paid 195 peruvian soles.
He went also in the plane and asked in a very Bad way to a Passenger if It was his place and took a picture of him. This person was not competent and unrespectful
I complained on the website of the company. twice in 3 weeks . still not answer (only an automatic canned answer).

Impossible to pay for my luggage through the website and the application before I came to the airport because of some issued of THEIR website and application. I explained everything directly when I reach at the airport to the company.
What was the results? They only made me pay for the double of the normal price, even if I wanted to pay BEFORE and I could not because of them, not because of me.
I had all the proofs (pictures and screens) but they spoke to me like robots and repeat the same thing : "we understand but now you are here and you need to pay the full price, if you are not happy you can contact our service by phone or by a form".
Of course I wrote to them through the "form" (because phone from France to Peru is not cheap and fast) ; but they dont answer me at all.
1st form : no answer
2nd form : they respond completely other thing but not on my subject.
3rd form : impossible to send it because the website now does not recognize my booking information (lol!)
I feel robbed and will never use this bad company for my next trips in South America. I will continue to make bad adverts of them.
15,5 hours of unnecessary wait at the airport!!!
On the 8th of May I got an email (see attachment) in the morning that my flight JA5415 was delayed for a total of over 4 hours. A few hours later I received the boarding passes which still said the original time, emails did not get answered so I went to the airport at 16:00 so in case the original time was still on, I would make my flight. At the airport I was told, the flight would be changed to 22:00. So I waited at the airport for 6 hours, shortly after 22:00, we were told the flight was cancelled and we would be booked for the morning flight at 9:49am in the morning the next day. We were told we would be booked and transferred into a hotel. Until I was picked up and transferred to the hotel 5,5 hours passed, we were picked up at 3:30 am in the morning so we could rest for 2 hours before we were picked up in the morning at 7am to return to the airport. In the morning, the flight also was delayed for one hour, which gave me another 4 hours of waiting at the airport. So I spent a total of 15,5 hours waiting (!) at the airport because of JetSmart and it cost me an entire vacation day, which I planned to stay in Medellin, but because of that series of failures which were caused by JetSmart, I wasted an entire day at the airport. This could have been managed much better, I think this is totally unacceptable treatment for customers. Afterwards I tried to claim compensation for the time lost, which was declined.
Never again, JetSmart!
