I am writing to express my utter disappointment to be subject to fraud

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction regarding the cancellation of my flight by JetSmart. This cancellation has disrupted my travel plans significantly, resulting in missed connecting flights and a shortened stay, which necessitated the cancellation of other flights.

Furthermore, I am deeply disappointed that your refund system is offering only a voucher instead of a monetary refund. I must emphasize that I do not wish to receive a voucher, as I have no plans to revisit South America in the near future.

The cancellation of my flight has already caused financial loss totaling AUD $456 plus the adjoining cost of AUD$190 flight. I urgently requested a full refund to my original form of payment which in the email said they would do but on the site you just can't. I feel this is like a internet scam where I am subject to fraud and this is an airline doing it.

I've been trying to a book a flight for…

I've been trying to a book a flight for a week and their website will not take a US card. I tried 3 different cards. I went to the airport to purchase and they said if could only be purchased online. I even called customer service but they said the same thing. I see others have complained about the same thing. They are a pretty useless airline and have been sued before for unscrupulous policies

Worst airline ever

By far the worst airline I’ve even flown with. Check in doesn’t work online, They changed my flight without notifying me, and one person at the counter told me I had a balance on my account after my flight change and refused to help. Will never fly with this airline again.

Awful company

Awful company. Not clear in their communication and their website does not work.

One of our flights was modified, we accepted the modification, and once we got to the airport they still had us under our original flight…

SCAM!

SCAM!! No flight was ever booked with this airline, never even travelled to Brazil and they got a hold of my debit card and stole $900. They are continuing to attempt at stealing money but having no luck.

The website is terrible BUT

The website is terrible, the online payments and check-in don’t work, unless you SET THE COUNTRY TO CHILE. Then everything works as expected. It’s in Spanish though. Also it’s South-America so expect delays.

Jetsmart has double charged me US$50…

Jetsmart has double charged me US$50 extra for my checked in luggage from Santiago Chile to Mendoza Argentina. No customer service what so ever in regards to handling complaint, resolution by phone nor email. True scammer disguising as a budget cost airline without obliging a minimum service provision, by fully take an advantage of international passenger specially outside of South American residents. I will seek for all avenues of the complaint to be delivered at any cost.

Just don't bother!

Just don't bother, it's impossible to buy checked in baggage on their website as it either doesn't work or if won't accept any payment method. They can't take payment over the phone so you are left with the option of paying twice as much at the airport. They also seem intent on trying to get everyone to pay more, monitoring handbags and also trying to charge you for boarding passes. Then when you try and complain or request a refund for the baggage charge the form doesn't accept your booking code so you can't process it! Just avoid the airline and fly with LATAM or another airline and hopefully it will make this company go bust or review their approach.

By far one of the worst airlines

By far the worst airline I've ever flown with.

Their website is absolutely awful, proved completely incapable of taking payment and cost us a fortune in last second checked bag fees at the airport because of it.

They had absolutely no concern for our situation. I'm seeing that this is a very common case for this airline.

Absolutely avoid at all cost. Pay double what they offer to another airline if it helps you avoid. Never again.

Mi vuelo JA 141 de las 10:16 AM a Antofagasta-La Serena fue devuelto por clima. Esperé todo el día hasta el siguiente vuelo a las 7:45 PM. Nos informaron que el avión tenía una rueda defectuosa y no despegaríamos. El piloto prometió alojamiento, comida y transporte, pero al bajar nos tuvieron hasta las 12 AM sin alojamiento ni transporte. Tuvimos que quedarnos en el aeropuerto. Al preguntar por tickets de comida, dijeron no saber nada y que hiciera el reclamo por teléfono. Encuentro una burla su forma de operar.

My flight JA 141 at 10:16 AM to Antofagasta-La Serena was returned due to weather. I waited all day for the next flight at 7:45 PM. We were informed that the plane had a defective wheel and would not take off. The pilot promised accommodation, food, and transportation, but when we disembarked, they kept us until midnight without accommodation or transport. We had to stay at the airport. When I asked for meal tickets, they said they knew nothing and to file a complaint by phone. I find their operating method a joke.

JetSmart a THIEF AIRLINE

JetSmart cancelled my flight from Santiago to Buoenos Aires, in February 2024. I asked for reimbursement of about 300 Euro, allegedly due in 2-months, while buying another ticket still with them. Well not even now in June, after 4 months did they reimburse my tickets and never replied to te many e-mail I sent.

Forced to pay for airport check in even though online check in didn’t work

Received an error when checking in online so tried to check in at airport, they refused to let us check in without paying a fee even though we had tried to check in online. Staff were really rude when we were trying to explain the situation and told us to leave if we weren’t going to pay. Would avoid if you have another choice of airline!

The worst fly company in the world!!

The worst fly company in the world!!! I missed flight due to incorrect information provided on the ticket! The lady on the counter was unwilling to re-book my flight and they were unwilling to refund the flight.

Staff on the airport was RUDE, UNPOLITE, INCOMPETENT and UNABLE TO SPEAK ENGLISH.

I dont recommend to book a flight with this company!

Terrible experience with this airline

I had a terrible experience with this airline.

I wanted to change a flight with a flexible reservation from Medellín to Santiago de Chile and to postpone a departure for a week later few days before the flight departure, for which I was eligible to do since it was a flexible tariff. I got a reply that they tried to contact me on my Czech phone number to pay the difference between the ticket prices, but they said they couldn't reach me (I don't know why, I had my mobile on all the time). I tried to call the number listed for customer service (+56227318787) but it didn't work, for some reason it was always dead line when I was calling from Colombia with my Czech number. I have been asking customer service for another way to contact them and change the flight besides calling and it seems we can't communicate via email, only social networks like Facebook or X are available. Meanwhile, I couldn't wait any longer because my flight was fast was coming up, so I booked a new flight (also with JETSmart from Medellin to Santiago de Chile) for the next week (I also didn't want to wait more, since the price was going up over the time).

I requested a refund for a previous booking which had the flexibility to change the date later. I tried to change the flight and provided all the relevant information but their customer service couldn't do it. I also didn't understand why they didn't just send me a payment link to pay the difference and why they insisted on calling a customer service number that seems to be unavailable for European numbers. In my opinion, they were just deliberately obstructing and making excuses so they don't have to refund my money.

When I finally got to Chile and was able to call on the customer service number they've provided (+56227318787), the lady on the line was very rude and not very helpful. We just raised a formal complaint, but the result was that they cannot refund me the money for the ticket, only the boarding fees. I did my best to change the flight date on a ticket that was specifically purchased as flexible.

This company effectively robbed me of 330 USD and used quite unfair practices. I also don't understand why the only way possible to communicate with them is the web form with 500 characters limit. We are in the 21st century. I'll never fly with them again and I would advise everyone to avoid them as well.

I'm seeking a legal action at the moment, since I believe this behaviour violates consumer protection laws.

Cancelled our flight 1 hour past the…

Cancelled our flight 1 hour past the proposed departure time (6pm) with NO explanation. Made us wait 4 hours in the airport before bussing us 3 hours to a different airport. Put us on a flight at 3am - no sleep. We arrived 12 hours late to the destination meaning we missed a booked experience we paid £62 for - we could not get a refund or reschedule the experience. No explanation and we can't get through to customer service to attempt to claim a refund. Joke of an airline

The most unpleasant flight ever…

The most unpleasant flight I’ve ever taken. The staff are HORRID and super militant about luggage, they charge extra for everything!! Our flight had a few empty seats at the front and one woman asked if she could move and they said only if she pays. I’ve used them before and they were fine about the bag I was using but this time they charged £75 on the spot for it - clearly because they were trying to scam any money off us that they could to make up for the near empty flight. There was no one sitting in my row which is plenty of room for my bag! They just suck all the joy out of flying…

Horrible horrible airline

Horrible horrible airline! They changed the itinerary and offered a refund which I have NEVER received. Their reps are rude. All emails from the company were in Spanish and I was told to use Google translate. I called at least 10 times. I lost $197. 83
I will NEVER NEVER NEVER fly this airline again. They should change their name to ‘Jet STUPID’. Do NOT book this airline, beware!
