Research before buying a jio sim

I got a local jio sim from one of the stores and a few months ago, today, 6th November 2025, I received a call from a random person saying that the number belongs to him and I should give him the otp received as he has paid 100 rupees to recharge. I tried to speak to the customer service and they assured me that there will be no problem and it will be sorted out.Not very happy as I am on holiday and don't need stress.

I have been using Jio almost since its…

I have been using Jio almost since its inception. Recently I have faced many problems with Jio.
1. They stopped 1 GB recharge. Every one is forced to buy minimum 1.5 GB per day forcing everyone to pay more and encouraging immature teenagers to increase screen time.
2. For somedays they will show that your data balance is 0 when you are sure you haven't used the net at all. This is just to force you to buy add on data. This is almost a theft.
3. Many times a day the network becomes slow and often non existent.

Ambani sir these tricks may earn you some money but giving very bad reputation to your company

Mene online jio ka sim order kiya tha 50 rp ka payment karke phir uske 1 din baad mujhe delivery boy ka call aaya ki me abhi dusri jagh pe hu krupiya aap kujhe otp dijiye or ek Banda apko apka sim card de jayega phir mene usko top diya uske baad mere phone pe msg aaya ki your sim card delivered successfully 2 din ho gaye mujhe abhi tak mera sim card mila nahi h mene customer care pe bhi call kiya but mujhe koi help mila nahi call waiting pe rakhte h phir cut ho jata h apne aap jio ki service ekdam gatiya hai bakwas..... 😢

It's really bad

Seriously, it seems to me like they deliberately alter the network speeds or whatever, the 11 rupee plan i recharged today gave very low speeds, that happened as soon as i recharged and i have observed this multiple times.
Even if this is a flunk, the plans are a mess, i want simpler plans, i dont want unlimited voice call, but am forced to get it. Also matching data and voice limits in a single pack, good luck, for me atleast, i would prefer to not have per day internet. Customwr service is worse too, the other day i was checking out jiohome service, and on clicking just one button that said show interest it literally made the booking, and on sending cancellation email, they totally missed the point about cancelling booking, so now i am still waiting to get a call, even the location was somewhat wrong.
Then there is about calling. The calls drop infrequently, miss-connection happens sometimes. Sometimes i get a call from random numbers saying that i called them, this could be scam though, but mis connection does happen i call a person and rather gets connected to some other number.
Network quality is normally good, but at times drops in signal are freequent, and then there are outages at times, like what they cant even manage active network being such a big corporation.

Jio SIM Home Delivery is absolute crap…

Jio SIM home delivery is absolute crap in my experience. It took around 2 weeks to confirm the delivery and later the delivery boy called me and told to meet 4 kilometers away from my home. I opted for home delivery. Otherwise I could have got a new SIM from a shop much closer than this meeting point. I told this to the person and told I won't come that far to collect the SIM. So finally I cancelled the order!

It's a worst experience after raising the ticket also engineers are not assigned, it's shame on the JIO service and even on the Ambani's as it looks they are just eating the money. Calling customer care also no use. Some action has to be taken on this.

If I could rate this zero stars. I would.

If I could rate this zero stars, I would. This is hands down the worst network and call provider I’ve ever had the misfortune of using. The call connectivity is beyond terrible – constant call drops, poor voice quality, and signal bars that might as well be imaginary. It’s like trying to have a conversation through a blender – choppy, noisy, and absolutely infuriating.

Jiofiber-Worst customer care and unreliable wifi connection

Extremely disappointed with jio service.The customer care is completely unresponsive-calls either never connect or get cut off immediately. No proper information is given a real person for help. To make things worse ,the jiofiber router constantly shows a red blinking light. This has been going for days with zero support. What's the point of providing 24/7 support if no one actually answers ?
