We have used Homebase for almost 8 years. We have a not for profit volunteer run collective. We have about 17-18 of us who keep it going 7 days a week. We love Homebase, but have had the free version... See more

It's fine, and there are a lot of intuitive features, however, it requires a lot from management in terms of approvals and it lacks flexibility for some settings (why do the unavailability setting have to be continuous for example?) The app is also crashing multiple members of my team's Iphones (and they are up to date and not that old). It does more than we need (I don't need payroll and HR) and less at the same time. Homebase will be a temporary fix while we continue to look for a straight forward smart scheduling platform.

I would say that my experience was pleasant up until I couldn't understand what the person was saying about the job. I mentioned I was offered a job in the town I live in at a place I know. Followed the instructions, downloaded the app, was ready to work the next day. Then I saw it was not showing up on my app at all. There was no one too call and talk with. The AI chat bot was my only option and it completely didn't do anything I asked it. It kept apologizing about how it's very frustrating. Then told me to contact the hiring manager or the business I was going to work at. I call the business because I was never told a hiring manager name. The business had never heard of them and said they had no temps scheduled to work there at all. I've left multiple messages at their Greensboro HQ and of course heard nothing. This is a phoney business I'm assuming now and they just collect your data and sell it. The phone number AI was talking to them on will not even answer at all. Just rings and then hangs up very quickly as youre leaving a message. This job cost me time and money and another job I didn't take because they had offered me one.

Not user friendly at all. Treats me like an employee rather than a manager/owner. Not easy to quickly see complete schedule. Using both the app (do not like at all), and join Homebase on phone do not work for me as the scheduler.

I've been using homebase since 2019 and now I have to pay for it. Not happy at all.

It's pretty shitty how you are now forcing me into a paid subscription after years of use of the free version because you decided to lower the number of employees you can have on the account.

This company is all smooth sailing until something happens. There is no customer service only AI agents. They billed me 3 times on the same day and I called but then an AI agent answers. I sent them emails and again an AI agents answers. Then suddenly I get a strange call on Sunday and no one follows up. It has been a month and I cant get hold of one human being to solve this. I will not be using their services again and going to contact my bank

Home Base is running very slow on our POS. It essentially adds a minute or two to my employee’s shifts that I eventually need to pay, so it is causing more time and stress for me at the moment.
Additionally, the passcodes were not syncing with Clover on multiple attempts, we could not clock in when there was an internet outage, and the customer service was not knowledgeable on how to deactivate the “don’t forget to clock-in” pop-ups when it was a mere setting on the account.
I appreciate that it is provided for free on clover, but I may save more time and stress if I just hand-wrote my staff’s times.

After talking to 4 people, Vince was able to see the problem and inform me on how to correct it.

If you try to downgrade there subscription service back to free. There software lets you do it and says you are to their free service but they will keep taking money out of your bank account. This company is just another long string of companies that use scamming techniques to drain your account. I am going back to local business, when are we going to say enough of this corporation who screw everyone. You know what I am talking about. Cable, electric, amazon, expedia, the list goes on and on.

She understood the assignment and my struggle with the account. She fixed my issue right away, while also validating everything worked properly as it should.

I love Homebase. I’m a little upset that they change minimum employees on the free version from 20 to 10
