Josef Siebel disintegrating soles

Josef Siebel shoes are beautiful and I have always been happy when I find them lightly used, or new on sale because they are expensive. Today I wore a pair that were perfect hardly worn but an older style. Before I walked 1/4 mile I noticed the top had come loose from the soles on both shoes. The soles had just disintegrated. This had happened before on three pairs of a different style. I thought this pair would be different. I had purchased a new pair of winter boots that I love and of course I ran in to see if the soles are still intact lol. These shoes are expensive and should actually last forever if taken care of but the disintegrating soles make them a terrible value. I will never purchase this brand again. New or used.

Terrible soles

Terrible soles! After less than a year and irregular wear, the soles have cracked and water leaks into the shoes when it rains. The sole cannot be repaired (and I see from other reviews that this is a common issue) and the manufacturer won't take responsibility. NEVER buy, awful quality! Really disappointing when you expect great German quality and it's far from the case.

I didn't even have my boots for 2…

I only had my boots for a few months and have only worn them a few times and the soles split. cheap quality. I called the head office and they passed me off to the Retailer. Then they ignored my emails. So disappointed. I don't want anyone to have to waste their money like I did. I was giving them valuable feedback but they couldn't care less. Asked to speak to someone else, they just ignored me and didn't reply. Very disappointed in their service and product. I will never buy this brand ever again. You lost a customer

Seibel shoes, absolute rubbish soles !!!!

I bought a pair of Seibel shoes 10 years ago and still wear them. 3 months ago I bought another pair (made in India) and the soles on them split wide open. I got in touch with Seibel and they told me they can't help me and I should talk to the retailer (pass the buck) Retailer said no reciept no action as expected. Don't buy Seibel shoes made in India, the sole material is rubbish along with their service. Tell your friends too. It's a shame as the shoes were very comfortable. I'll have to repair them myself !!!

After 2 years of light use

After 2 years of light use, I.e. winter use only the boots let water in via the sole, very disappointed in what I thought were supposedly good quality boots.
Overpriced and better wear from far cheaper alternative.

I have bought these shoes for the last…

I have bought these shoes for the last 6 years, one of the best I have ever wore......I wanted to buy a new pair of shoes and went to Costco where I have bought most of the 5 pair I have, different styles, and the selections was poor BUT the most disturbing this was the Made in China indication, I walked away in my 6 year old Josef Seibel shoes in disgust, I knoe the quality will NOT be the same every again. Too bad Josef! Brad

Very disappointed

I recently purchased a pair of your sandals (Raul 19 15319 759 085 Como/Kombi) size 46 for my holiday. I usually purchase Pikolinos or Rieker, but thought that I would have a change as I liked the style of these.
I have found that they are very uncomfortable with what looks like poorly finished off stitches leaving parts that apply pressure points to my feet. The only way that I could continue to wear them was with applying plasters to my feet.
I emailed both the English and German headquarters but to no avail.
Very disappointed with both the sandals and the company itself.
Would not purchase from this company again

Overpriced, poor quality sandals

Spent £80 on a pair of leather sandals, soles on both have split after less than 6 weeks wear. Bought them through Debenhams website so they have asked me to return them and I should get a full refund. I have bought sandals for quarter of the price from Next which have lasted years. JS is a poor quality expensive brand, I would have exchanged them but having read other reviews I won't be buying this brand again.

NO STAR AT ALL FOR POOR QUALITY SHOES

Really I do not want to rate Josef Seibel with even one star, because the quality of there shoes is very poor. I brought a pair of shoes cost £95 type, Neele 01 (graphit prints) thinking they would last for years and years, after 18 months, and not a lot of wear, the soles are cracked and worn smooth and have become a slip hazard. Yes they were comfy, yes I liked them...but I am so disappointed, will not buy Josef Seibel shoes again

Disintegrating shoes

I am extremely disappointed in my recent purchase of what the company describes as premium quality shoes. After very limited wear the sole on one shoe has started to peel, while the other shoe has cracked and split completely for approx 10cm. I have never had a pair of shoes disintegrate so completely. The shoes are unwearable.

I am very surpised at the poor quality of manufacture given that the company's promotional material places such an emphasis on quality.

Burgess Men shoes are not waterproof.

Disgusted with Seibel shoes. I bought some mens shoes direct from Josef Seibel in the UK called Burgess. It did not indicate whether they were waterproof or not. I have now found to my cost they are not waterproof. I expect shoes to be waterproof in this country otherwise they are useless as far as I am concerned. I believe Josef Seibel should clearly state whether the product is waterproof or not. I assumed they would be. Josef Seibel will not provide me with a replacement shoe or refund. I will never buy from this manufacturer again

Fantastic service and quality

Just purchased Paul 07 sandals in both colours at half price on sale, they looked very similar to another brand I bought years ago, the story was that I payed via paypal online but for some reason the sites payment system rejected my order as I learned by email a few days later, frustrated I contacted the sales number and was told of the reason and the young lady apologised and said she could honour the original order and waive the next day delivery charge too ! .So now I have my lovely sandals and well happy with them, they feel like old friends straight away as i'm the sort of person who puts on the sandals the minute I get home and then wear them till they fall apart lol. I highly recommend these sandals and the brand.
