Poor online shopping site. They are scammer in disguise: no good customer support services, no refund system, this is a scam site.
Details: on 29th November 2023, I ordered a phone p40 itel. And I paid using my card #61260. And order number: 1875623992.
After a while jumia cancelled the order. I called jumia to find out the reason of cancellation. They asked me to screen shot my evidence of payment,so I did . They said they have seen it and refund would take 7 business days . After 7 business days, I reached jumia and I was asked to send commercial bank account on call and in email , so I did . They gave me another 7 business days and a date to be 8/01/2024. After that date I called they said 'sry we have escalated the matter and I should wait 24 to 48hours' from that day that quote becomes their response till date of writing this review on 15/01/2024. Becareful with jumia.com everybody. Thanks

Jumia.com stands out as one of the worst online shopping platforms known to people. Here’s why: I placed an order for a generator worth almost 1 million Naira. Initially, I received an order confirmation along with a delivery timeframe. However, the trouble started when I received a notification that my order had been shipped, yet the tracking remained stuck at one location on the map. Eventually, it vanished, displaying a 'tracking not found' message.

My expected delivery day passed without any sign of the order. Frustrated, I contacted their live agent, which took an hour to connect. Wasting my entire morning, I had to guide the agent on how to check my order status within their system. Shockingly, I was informed that the delivery date was postponed by a week, without any prior notification.

At this point, my confidence in Jumia's ability to deliver orders has plummeted. I’m uncertain whether I’ll ever receive my order. Jumia appears unreliable, and I’ve lost trust in using their site for any future purchases.

Jumia morocco allows supplement counterfeit criminals to sell on their platform!!!! Ive made many reclamations about vitamin d3 ,Propolis, gold c california gold nutrition and Mdg brands being faked and selled to people. They simply ignore my requests and let this criminal store that sells them open. Worse customer service ever!!!
Be aware moroccans fellows the criminial shop name is para cosmo and maybe there are others since the platform is endorsing them!!!

If it was possible to give a zero star rating, I would have definitely done so. Jumia Kenya advertised a Samsung Galaxy phone, alleged to have single line and eSim capability. I ordered the phone, and realised during installation that it doesn't have SIM Manager, a key function to allow eSim plan to be added. I complained to Jumia Kenya and what they did was to refuse refunding me, claiming the phone doesn't come with eSim capability inbuilt. I returned the phone to them a second time, and they refused it again, and threatened that I will forfeit the phone if I don't collect it back from them. I'm gutted and utterly disappointed at Jumia, a once promising e-commerce platform now more of conmen than ever before.

Not as bad as projected in our country. It is shocking to see so many bad reviews. It's almost as if it is paid for lol. We have had a few disappointments with Jumia but they always try to right their wrongs. We have had disappointments with Amazon, AliExpress and eBay in the past too but we don't see such bad reviews about them.

Most of our recent purchases are from Jumia and we are satisfied with their service and they have improved over time yet there is always room for improvement.

These other reviews are so shocking, we still can't believe them. In fact we have doubt that they're talking about the same Jumia that we know. Perhaps the ones in those countries are bad but the ones here are quite effective.

After more than 24hrs of waiting for a pre-paid item, my order was canceled without any explanation given. I was fully refunded however, I did have reasons for placing the order I did. It's therefore important to show some reliability.

Be extremely careful ordering hp printer cartridges, we were given counterfeit cartridges and they didn’t take them back because of the 15 day policy.

I ordered 3 things and they all came very late. The last one which was a dress was very small and the packet was torn. The belt was missing. I was not happy. Sizes are wrong.

I picked my orders on 18th, April, 2023 at bbox siaya; 300w instead of 600w inverter; no pvc cable packaged (which cost me 120×7m-red+120×7m-black); they told me to open a jumia account but on 19th, April declined to pick my calls for a top up to purchase the cable. They also packaged 3×3w bulbs instead of the ordered 4 .

Jumia delivers you cold food with a open packl from KFC, and delivers you cold pizza and whole pizza sticked on carton box from Chayenne restaurant, enjoy if you can, totaly destroyed food, and jumia never apologise

The delay, it’s been 19 days yet no delivery, this has to be one of the worst experiences of mine. They tell me my package will be here in 2 days, however I leave for dubai in a day. With this inconvenience they don’t do anything about it, I ask nicely to ship it to my house, their employee Jacob doesn’t want.

I bought my item on Monday and received it in two days and the communication was excellent. I highly recommend them

Every delivery with this stupid company is a war, you will have to run after them, deal with those rude and unprofessional help desk guys. I wish I could give a negative star

I ordered groceries from one of the local supermarkets via Jumia, only to find that the Jumia order which was reflecting in the app was for half the amount. I reached out to customer care on the chat and tell her the issue and she proceeds to inform me that she can't know what I have ordered until the stuff is delivered. So I tell her why don't you cancel the order then since you can't get this info even after I flag the problem, and refund the cash. She proceeds to cancel the order without finding out what the issue is, and rudely signs off while telling me I will be reimbursed. Can you imagine the reimbursement came in Jumia credits!?!? I am like, I need my money back as this was my Christmas shopping. Someone calls me but does not give me a way forward. No response from them since that call, only an email letting me know I will be reimbursed after three to five days. Mark you, no other solution was given. And her I am with egg on my face once again.

THEY THINK THEY ARE ABOVE THE CUSTOMER AND ARE DISMISSIVE. If I could give minus stars I would.
Received a phone that may as well be a brick, I returned in proper packaging and WELL within the time. I was messaged 10 days later saying my return was not accepted end of.I was told it would be redelivered and if I didn't accept it would be confiscated. Totally ignored my reason and given no explanation whatsoever. Forced to accept the piece of crap, but I will accept it but smash it to pieces just so they don't get to keep it as I'm so angry and insulted!
I will never use jumia again so I hope the sly scammers enjoy their money they robbed of me for a stupid piece of plastic as I would of spent so much more!!!!!

I ordered a package which was supposed to be delivered on Monday 7th of November and it was not delivered. On Tuesday, my order has still not been delivered.
