Do not buy Karrimor

Wish I had seen these reviews before purchasing Karrimor boots! Like everyone else, sole has come away in less than 4 months. Bought from Sports Direct and since found out they won’t refund, replace or repair them as it is apparently our job to prove faulty at manufacture which is totally against Consumer Rights 2015. Interestingly Sports Direct own Karrimor, wish I’d known that too! Court proceedings now issued as we can’t let these companies get away with not adhering to Consumer Roghts 2015.

Karrimor Hot Rock boots. Danger

I also bought Karrimor Hot Rock boots from Soccer Sports. I trusted the make as I have a Karrimor Rucksack that I've had for 20 years and it's still going strong. These boots however, started to fall apart in the 2nd month of casual wear, when the soles began to separate from the boots and some of the stitching failed. These boots are so badly made they are dangerous, as during a dog walk more than half of the sole came away from the front of one of the boots and doubled under the boot, causing me to fall down a grass bank. I hobbled home and threw them in the bin. Never again!

KARRIMOR WITH WET FEET! Every time I wear my Karrimor Hot Rocks…

Every time I wear my Karrimor Hot Rocks waterproof walking shoes in anything other than dry conditions my feet get soaked. Really disappointed as they are comfortable and look the part but waterproof they're not! Just walking the dog on wet grass is enough to come home with wet socks.
Wish I'd read reviews of other people also fooled
by Karrimor's 'waterproof' walking shoes claim before buying, as I didn't realise Karrimor are now part of Sports Direct I'm led to believe.

Mount walking boots with Gtx are NOT waterproof

Bought Karrimor mount waterproof walking boots in march on HOF website, used them about 5 times in the first rain one boot changed color and went from brown to a reddish color, so I had to walk around with mis matched color boots for a while, the next time I walked through wet grass my feet were soaked. Absolute rubbish quality, emailed their customer services a week or so ago and no reply at all. The reason I am posting this here is because I see on the HOF website what must be a fake review saying they are waterproof and all reviews saying they are not must be wrong, what a load of rubbish, what a con.

So much narrower

I have bought numerous pairs of karimor in the past. Bought a pair a couple of weeks ago, tried them on. They were tight, thought I could wear them as they were the right size. They ruined my feet, they are so narrow and uncomfortable. Really disappointed and annoyed.

Refused formal complaint

I wanted to complain about the company reducing the size of sandals from 14 to 11. The customer service had no idea why they reduced the size and refused to find out. All other walking shoes remained up to size 15. I said I wanted to make a formal complaint to senior management but they refused to accept it and terminated the conversation.

Poor quality walking shoes

Bought pair of walking shoes, suppose to be waterproof, first time out in rain, got home, soaking wet feet, quality has really gone down since being taken over and now made in the far East. Save your money and don't buy this rubbish

Bought Karrimor Hot Rock walking shoes

Bought Karrimor Hot Rock walking shoes, within six weeks internal had worn through, stitches on outside gone and now sole falling off. Never again going to Sports Direct.

A load of garbage

bought a pair of Karrimor trainers from Sports Direct.within 6 weeks the internals were showing signs of wear and after only 12 weeks of light gym use there were holes in both trainers caused by the internal heel support structure cutting through the foam and material lining. as such this heel support now cuts into your skin on your ankles rendering the trainers totally useless.
i reported the issue to the store where i bought them but was told to contact karrimor customer services which i duly did, enclosing all details and photo's only to be told that they could not help and to contact the store. in other words a total fob off from both ,neither of which wants to accept responsibility for this obviously defective product.disgusting service all round

ATTENTION Karrimor carbon-fibre poles can fail.

ATTENTION - WARNING!!
Karrimor poles can break.
I was out hillwalking when one of my Karrimor carbon-fibre poles broke, luckily I wasn't hurt too badly in the resulting fall to the ground.
Worse than the failure of the pole is the response from Karrimor Customer Services - they were just not interested.

I'm not buying Karrimor stuff anymore

I'm not buying Karrimor stuff anymore, going to go to Mountain wear house in future.

Karrimor sandals used to be good, but now they're not fit for purpose at all. I've had three pairs of sandals, and everytime it's the same thing; the stitching!

Always breaks at the wrong moment, the last straw was when I was walking galong Bournemouth seafront Luckily it was a hot day, so I could walk barefoot to a shop that sold sandals. Looks like my hot rock shoes are on their way out too.

Never again Karrimore, ever!

Karrimor walking boots didn’t last 2 months

I bought a pair of Karrimor boots from sports direct. As I am now walking 2 to 5 miles a day I thought I would spend the extra money to get a decent pair and was told these would wear the test of time.

Oh dear, I bought these on 17/03/24 and yesterday 19/05/24 the heel fell of the right foot and on closer inspection the left heel has started to peel off as well.

I did not expect this to happen on a branded walking boot. 2 months and finished. The cheap ones I would pay £20 for would last 6 months.

It is a real shame because the inside sole on these is really comfortable and was really good as i suffer from a condition on my right heel called plantar fasciitis and it gave great relief which allowed me to walk further. Also the higher position on the lace holes made sure the boot stayed tight to the foot.

Very disappointed as they are now unusable.

Junk

My thoughts echo the the vast majority other here on the shabby quality of Karrimor walking shoes. My first pair of Hot Rock shoes lasted less than three months before the sole became detached. A second pair, the boot version, experienced exactly the same problem and also an eyelet breaking off in the same time frame. Products are poorly constructed, obviously untested for durability and destined for land-fill in short time. Indicative of the very worst corporate ethics. Avoid.

‘Waterproof ‘ boots leak …

Bought Weathertite walking boots for daily walks with dog in nearby fields.
On second walk it rained and my feet were soaked. Dried them out and wore again on dry day with dewy grass, again feet soaked.
Tried to get money back from Sports Direct and they refused to give refund and were very disbelieving and rude.
Bought a Gortex pair which were double the price and a different brand. Hopefully they will be fit for purpose.

Trash clothing brand

Trash clothing brand, nothing else to it. I bought pants that on the pictures had a single branding logo on one corner, it arrives and it in fact has 5 branding logos on each corner and also one on the upper corner, you're just a walking advertisement 0 stars.

Karrimor Hot Rock… Avoid unless you love wasting money

Purchased a pair of Karrimor Hot Rock boots from Sports Direct approx 12 months ago, but didn't use them until my previous pair of boots died.. They lasted about 10 days before the sole started to seperate from the boot. Sadly by then I had lost the receipt and Sports Direct would not exchange them even though I still had their box and the boots looked new ( apart from falling apart ) Total Junk, on the bright side I have never spent a penny with Sports Direct since and found a much better local shop who does not sell pretty looking junk that is certainly not fit for purpose

FAILED! - Karrimor X Lite 15L Running Backpack

I had the Karrimor X Lite 15L Running Backpack. It was bought to use while walking the dog and so would carry a bottle of water, spare lead, frisby, etc. I had it 3 months and the main zips failed.
The teeth disintegrated!
It's not really a bag, its a flap of material with stupid inaccessible pockets on your hips, silly straps that get in the way including one that goes across your chest - this one keeps the main shoulder straps on your shoulders because they continually slip off as the straps have no structure at all. I gave in trying to put them on my shoulder the right way up. They're just a tangled mess within minutes of walking. The bag is going in the bin and good riddance. Needless to say I won't be buying Karrimor again. Useless design = useless product. But if you ever have the need to carry some sheets of A4 paper, plus perhaps a small stapler and spare staples at your hips, while free-climbing, then this is the bag for you!!!
