Extremely disappointed in the Women's…

Extremely disappointed in the Women's Hoot Rock Walking Boots. After a short time, the toe area completely came away from the sole leaving the boots unwearable. I have bought Karrimor before and they are usually an excellent make. However, it would appear their standard of manufacture has lowered. I have contacted the company and they are not interested in either refunding or replacing.

Poor quality manufacturing

The sole of the Caracal trail runner trainers failed after a few weeks. Completely came off due to poor bonding or glue. Rest of the trainer is still in brand new condition. Probably just 20 hours use in total. Expected better for a £55 mid range product.

Karrimor Weathertite boots no good.

Karrimor Weathertite boots.
They leak like a sieve around the lace eyelets and the joint between the sole and the upper. Then the lace eyelets pull clean out of the boot as they are a poor fit.
Great for 3 weeks, then not so great. Put your money to something better.

Shocking quality and non existent customer support

Shocking quality! Bought new trail trainers, wore them 3 times for a short period of time, each time they have shredded my feet to pieces. Never have I experienced this with any other brand. I contacted Karrimor as I don’t believe they are fit for purpose due to the fact they are unwearable, with proof of receipt, they asked for more information which I sent…..then nothing. I have emailed another 3 times with no reply! They take your money and run dont not touch them. It’s the 1st karrimor item I have bought and it will be the last ….non existent customer service

Karrimor boots

I bought a pair of Karrimor Hot Rock Hiking boots from Sports Direct online. After just over 4 months wearing them, the sole came away from the main boot on both boots. I contacted Sports Direct customer service about the fault. The reply was that I needed to get an independent inspection report to prove that the fault was a manufacturing fault. The final reply I got was that they don't accept returns after 28 days.

In summary if the boots develop a fault after 28 days you will be required to provide an independent inspection report to prove it was a manufacturing fault.

Would not purchase Karrimor boots again. Sports Direct customer service agents seem to have a number of standard pieces of text to reject queries raised on faulty products.

I bought a pair of Karrimor Mens Bodmin…

I bought a pair of Karrimor Mens Bodmin Low 4 Weathertite Hiking Boots Grey/Cool Grey from M and M Direct. They were advertised by Karrimor as 100% waterproof, but after wearing them several times, they are more like paper slippers when it comes to keeping out the wet. I complained several times to Karrimor only to receive this reply from their customer services

Hi Andy,

Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, we can't assist you further as the order wasn't placed with us.

Please accept my apologies on the disappointment. I there's anything else, please contact us.

Kind Regards,

Customer Service

This is incredulous, this means people if you buy any Karrimor product from anywhere else other than them directly. YOU HAVE NO PRODUCT GUARANTEE..

The product is cheap and nasty and made in China, the company is driven solely by profit and not quality or customer satisfaction. The old saying buy cheap buy twice is so prevalent when buying rubbish like this.. I know they are cheap people but it is worth paying a little extra not to end up with an awful product like Karrimor. WHICH ARE NOT MANUFACTURED IN THE UK 100% NOT.

They used to be a reasonably good brand…

They used to be a reasonably good brand of walking shoe, but unfortunately in recent years they have become, possibly the worst quality walking shoe in my experience, I have purchased around 6 different pairs over the last few years, and they are all plagued by poor manufacturing and assembly processes, they probably last 6 months if you're lucky, the last pair which were 4 months old, had both soles detaching from the shoe, with no adhesive/glue apparent on either sole, arch, or toe, none were waterproof, not even to the extent of walking through wet grass, save your money for a decent brand, you will be disappointed.

Avoid this brand

I agree with all that has been said about this brand. My Karrimor walking boots from Sports Direct are falling apart at the seams. I keep going with them and coming home with soggy socks, but cannot go on much longer. I despair of so many products being made cheaply and then ending up in landfill, rather than lasting the length of time they should.

Karrimore owned by Sports Direct

Had no idea Karrimore are now owned by Sports Direct. Explains why the boots are rubbish and why the soles on both boots came away within months. Karrimore Hot Rocks btw. Total, proper waste of money - may as well have set fire to £50. Environmental crime by this company, because having shipped them across seas, they will now just go in land-fill FAR sooner than deserved. Mending the sole has not fixed the leak. Makes the boots pointless as grass/moors always damp/wet when I walk.

there products are cheap rubbish that fails in conditions far.lighter than they are designed for.
be warned buy from this company youll soon be buying another pair of boots. save money and go to a reputable supplier . not one that turns its back on its products . that says everything you need to know.
leather hiking boots that last about a year with very light use. sole still virtually new so you can tell light use only

Charged me more than what was on the label!

Ordered a daysack - paid £26.99 for it, and it arrived with a label saying the price was reduced to £13.99! Going back not only because of this, but it is tiny and looks pretty cheap. My last Karrimor daysack lasted over 20 years...

Worst quality ever.

In all honesty I have purchased Karrimor boots for 15 yrs.
They were so comfy and lasted very well. Waterproofing lasted well and could be re applied.
As years have gone by they got worse but we're still sort of ok based on the price.
In the last 2 years I bought 4 pairs from sport direct.
Same old bull. £90 scribbled out and £40 applied.
The waterproofing is poor now, and you are lucky if it lasts 3 walks.
The separation of fabric from sole happened on all 4 pairs within I would say 20 miles.
Worst is the lace eyelets and hooks . All of the 4 pairs failed.
I did a small hill walk and wore a new pair which had just been broke in. The eyelets snapped off on the walk and left me having to stab holes in the fabric to cobble together some form of fitting to get home.
Quite literally the worst quality ever.
And as for customer service, well forget it. Not interested and replace, reimbursement? 😁 Get out of here.
Sport direct, a warehouse full of past quality names now being manufactured in cheap sweatshops around the world.
A multi millionaire owner who just doesn't give a toss.
Stay away people, spend a little more and get some value.
I would have sorted lower but no option.

3 pairs of different Karrimor boots all…

3 pairs of different Karrimor boots all had soles falling off in under 3 months.
Not just loose on a corner, but total failure.
Why put decent vibrant soles on them and not bother to attach them properly?
Can't comment on their other kit, but their boots will let you down spectacularly and any perceived savings on price is short lived.

Get what you pay for.

This is my second pair of Karrimor boots. Don't waste your money. Neither pair lasted more than 18 months of mainly casual wear. I glued the soles back on myself for a further 5 months use before throwing them in the bin.

Avoid

Bad, avoid. Both boots fell apart after three months of light use, both soles detached. Sent photos to Karrimor and after a few email questions from customer support they finished with unable to help. Shame as the boot is really comfy.Avoid
