Recommend company

I ordered coins for this company and gave a poor review due to not understanding how the company works so I would now like to retract my previous review of the company. It worked out that I received the coins I ordered and they were in perfect condition. Thanks

Be careful they will do anything to make you keep the coins.

Ordered some coins for a Christmas present for my nephew on the 12/12/2023, they arrived on the 12/01/2024. Because it never arrived before Christmas my sister bought the coins from another company and received them in 48hrs . Now I have been trying to contact Kensington mint for almost a week with no reply to my emails or phone calls until today that is. I now find out that I have to pay for the return of the coins which must be insured. That is pure BS and I am writing this to help prevent other people getting caught out by this company.

A saga that ended well

A poor start and was thinking I had been conned. Ordered a coin 2nd May (give a day either way) and still waiting for it to be delivered. I had recieved no emails (not even an order recieved email) so I contacted them by chat to be told it will be on its way and will recieve an email when its posted. Communication is key to any business especially when people are paying lots of money for an item they are told will be with them within the week. If I get another "It's delayed" or "it will be with you soon" instead of a real answer, I will be demanding my money back and cancelling any money owed. Glad I took the 3 month option, as if I have been conned, at least its just a fraction and not the whole cost. Dissapointed and disgusted with how this company operates. Still waiting for an email and still waiting for the coin 3 weeks after being told it would be a week at most. I decided to call rather than chat, and finally got a confirmation email and another email 26th May after I called them on the day.
Edit 30 May 2023
Got a chap called George calling me from this company. Sales call is how this call began. I will admit I was thinking the cheek of it. I rolled with the call to see how it would end. When he asked me what I thought of the coin I was honest and said I didn't know as I had yet to recieve said coin. He sounded surprised and told me to give him an hour and he would call me back. True to his word he called back and, he had answers. A replacement coin has been ordered (a more valuable coin at no extra cost to myself). Ordered 1st coin 2nd May hopefully by the end of next week I will have a coin. Because of George I have upped the star rating from 1 to 3. I will update again when coin arrives. The whole sorry affair appears to be an oversight on their part.
Edit*
10.06.23 The coin has finally arrived. Thank you to George who chased this up for me and sorted out this complication, It's very much appreciated. Upped star rating to 4.

Golden moments

When I was looking at coins which I thought would be a good investment I was fortunate to get an account manager named William who pointed me in the direction of the 1953 gold sovereign I was impressed with his knowledge and purchased the coin

A great company to work with

I've been collecting coins for many years and have never had someone work for me as tirelessly as William. He has understood my collection, and found me pieces that I just couldn't find anywhere else, and at a fair price!

Kensington Mint are a pleasure to do business with.

Genuine scammers don’t use them

Genuine scammers don’t use them
I was lied to about a coin upon receipt contacted them straight away to be ignored.
Returned the coin (not recorded) and weeks after posting they demanded proof of postage. They have it and resold it I’m sure if it. Tried several times to get they’re governing body to have them investigated I don’t know if they’re regulated by the FCA yet still working on it but be warned this is not a legitimate company I question the legitimacy of the positive reviews.
Shirty dismissive staff too try another company trust me please.

Thanks for your review Chris - unfortunately, you had said you returned the coin, but we never received the coin back, and you were never able to provide any proof of having returned the coin. So on this occasion, we were not able to follow our normal returns policy.

An exceptional company - recommended

An excellent company with which to do business. The account managers build up great relationships with their customers and they really look for coins that they think will meet their customers needs / wants. My account manager James has been exceptional and even made a special event of my birthday whilst making me aware of a very limited edition coin that I had agreed to purchase. He really knows his trade and has exceptional knowledge of the market - highly recommended and great value and service

Had a very pushy cheek boy call me and…

Had a very pushy cheek boy called me and he did not listen. It was a timeshare/double glazing style and just rude.

Be careful this attitude means they have something to hide.

Shame as I did want the coin but will now avoid.

The reply just shoes how arrogant these people are. Find somewhere else to buy your coins.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We take all feedback seriously. Our goal is always to provide our customers with the best possible experience.

We understand that everyone has different preferences when it comes to sales approaches, and we apologize if our representative's style did not align with yours. In this case you reserved a coin, we called you about said coin, you have said you wanted the coin but didn't buy it. We have nothing to hide its a very simple process to purchase a coin.

Well overcharge for products then say return is damaged so no regubd

Nil stars! Rip off merchants! Got conned by a pushy salesperson only to find I could have got product from Royal Mint for quarter of price! They don’t reply to emails then say it’s gone over 30 days to return when I’m disabled and rarely leave the house. Now they have said that what I returned was damaged and they will not refund! Check elsewhere before you even consider buying from Kensington Mint! Update they returned to me a set very damaged and worthless!

Thank you for your review and confirming one of the orders you have made with us - With this order as you were outside the 30-day return period, we normally would not be able to issue a refund as we feel a month is a fair period of time to decide if a coin fits with your collections. On this occasion we allowed you to return the coin and as you have confirmed the coin you returned was now damaged. Unfortunately, the only course of action was to return the coin to yourself.
