This is a very góod quality product Howrver i do not see why it would lose its accredition if not instalked onto the wall , especially next to the street door in full view of everyone. That to me is temptation and an advert of vulnerability of the residents living there if used for the elderly It is much better if hidden on or off the wall.! Assuming it is as strong as it is said to be Nobody would want to take it away and spend two weeks trying to break the locksafe! They would have to be quite desperate. More likely to be burgled by giving the nunber to untrustworthy people.

We completely understand your point regarding positioning, and we actually recommend that key safes are installed as discreetly as possible to minimise the risk of attracting unnecessary attention, while still being accessible and practical for the people who need to use them.
The accreditation relates specifically to how and where the C500 Pro has been independently tested. To maintain its LPS certification and Police Preferred Specification, it must be installed into standard house brick or concrete using the supplied fixings. If installed onto a different surface, this does not necessarily mean the key safe itself becomes less secure; it simply means that the installation falls outside the conditions under which it was tested and accredited.
Where an alternative location or surface is being considered, the individual would therefore need to assess the risk and ensure the key safe can be securely fixed, as we are unable to recommend alternative fixings for substrates that have not been tested.
We also recommend positioning the key safe at least 6 inches away from any edge of the wall, somewhere that is discreet but still provides suitable access and visibility for those authorised to use it.
