I'm sorry that you were disappointed with your sample, it does say that the size is an estimate and actual size may vary. They are not designed as anything other than a small piece of the tartan so that you may see the colours before choosing your kilt or trousers - we do say that they are great to use as a pocket square, which they are, but this is not their purpose.
