Big thanks to Kipferl for going the extra mile in terms of customer satisfaction after a slight breakdown in communication. They delivered my order of 3x bottles of their superb orange wines and then one of their beautiful apple cakes, to my son for his 30th Birthday. The delivery service they use is also excellent, great timeslot notification and options if you can't be in for the delivery. Many thanks.

Second time ordering, gorgeous cakes, well packaged, perfect taste and arrived when I wanted them to. Nothing to complain about!

In the past I have ordered two Sachertorte cakes with personalised messages piped on, and an Apple Strudel. The latest Sachertorte was heart shaped for Valentines Day. My wife was very happy with this, and even let me have a slice!
We've really enjoyed the cakes and Strudel, and will definitely be ordering again.
These items were well packed.
The delivery company, Packfleet, sent an email with a 'Track Delivery' link which showed a map with the driver's location. A nice touch was the location of the vehicle was shown as the Austrian flag instead of the usual van/lorry icon. The drivers were friendly, and handed me the cakes, rather than placing them on the doorstep.

The website, online shopping and the cake were superb and very much appreciated

No stars at all to DHL delivery. Despite clear ‘fragile’ and ‘this way up’ labels on the excellent packaging, they brought the package to the door upside down and then THREW in on the doorstep to take a picture of it rather than gently hand it to me. The icing on the cake was therefore damaged and broken. As the cake was for a birthday celebration the next day we tried to patch it up as best we could. The cake was just lovely but what a shame that the delivery service was so bad.

A tragedy that such a lovely product should be treated so carelessly by DHL delivery service.

Hi everyone, I would just like to add a follow up from my previous review where I had a misunderstanding about my order. The customer service has been excellent & the fault lay in me having noted down a telephone number from an older email & I did not know the number was no longer in use - so my replies were not seen by the company :-( The Cakes & biscuits are fantastic, my Austrian friend who I bought them for said they were delicious & I will be ordering more in the future . The cake I ordered for my grown daughter's birthday arrived on time and well packaged. It was beautifully decorated and was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved it. Thank you for a shopping delight Kipferl.

I have ordered twice from Kipferl and I am happy to report that their cupcakes are absolutely lovely and the service I have received is nothing short of outstanding! I had mine delivered all the way to the bottom of Cornwall. Filled with flavour, their bakes are perfect for any occasion! Thank you!

Terrible. Absolutely terrible and I’m never coming back to this place. The waitress was awful in insisting that the table was needed back within an hour. She was pushy and horrible about it. It totally spoiled a very special ocasión. Your policies are not made clear on your website and your staff is awful. Never coming back here and would never recommend this place to anyone. The cake was terrible as well. Zero stars."

The order never arrived. DHL advised that delivery would be done, and then disappeared off the face of the earth.
The company was receptive and apologised, and promised to re-bake order and send to me the next week.
That never happened. When I asked when order would arrive,I was told that they had done other orders and would do mine the following week.
After 2 weeks, I cancelled.

This was an experience rescued in the end by the skill of the good artisans at KIPFERL.
I ordered the largest Sachertorte on 28/11/24. It was prepared and then made available for collection on 04/12/24 by the courier for delivery overseas within the British Isles on 06/12/24. What I forgot to allow for was Black Friday & Cyber Monday, but it might have worked were it not for the dramatic appearance of Storm Darragh.
The cake was delivered eventually in the late afternoon of 09/12/24. “Will it be ok to eat now?” asked the driver. He/we needn’t have worried. It’s the biggest, bestest, moistest, thickest chocolate covered Sacher ever! You know the theory that a lot of cooked dishes taste better after the day they’re cooked - well, it can also apply to cake baking. The Sachertorte ordered from Sacher or Demel in Vienna are often quite dry. The KIPFERL version does not need ‘schlagobers’ to slide it down. It is in perfect balance. It’s actually brilliant with a light whisky although you’re welcome to try it with an Eiswein or a Tokaji. Oh, I nearly forgot - blame the sugar rush - it arrived in near perfect condition.

The cakes I ordered were made with quality ingredients; you can taste the quality. They were delivered promptly and well packed. Will be ordering regularly, there are many items yet to try.

Purchased quite a few cakes from Kipferl, they are absolutely delicious and amazing flavours from Austria. Brings back wonderful memories of my visits to Austria.

The Kipferl team designed some beautiful Lebkuchen wedding favours for our recent wedding. They were beautifully iced with the date of our wedding and our names. All the guests were thrilled. We would highly recommend his restaurant and cake making skills.

Hubert and Kipferl made us a variety of cakes for our wedding which went down a treat! We and our guests loved the quality and the selection - Esterhazy was a particular favourite as was the Apple Strudel. Communicating about the order was easy and the delivery happened just as expected. We were so happy with the choice to use them and will do so for many occasions to come - Vielen Dank Kipferl!

I love everything about Kipferl. Eating in the restaurant is a joy - all of my favourite Viennese food, wine and treats. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I order wine and cakes to be delivered to family outside London and everything always goes smoothly. Thank you Kipferl - I am grateful for you and look forward to visiting again next week!

KIPFERL understands customer service. I rang to put in my order as I wanted to enquire about the possibility of a few changes to suit our event. No problem at all. We were so impressed with the packaging of the cakes, they arrived in perfect condition. The cakes were outstanding, obviously made with the best ingredients. We will be ordering more.
