A very long approval process

The initial application process was straightforward and relatively simple. The interface was easy enough to navigate. The review and approval process, however, took an exceptionally long time - almost three full months. Once my application was approved, there was swift and active pressure to confirm my policy immediately (multiple emails, phone calls, and text messages from Ladder within 12 hours), which felt very much like a high-pressure sales tactic and was particularly off-putting after a three-month wait.
Since I'm still alive, I can't speak to what the process will be like on the other end. I expect that it will take longer than my survivors will appreciate, but I'm sure it'll get sorted eventually.

No communication

There has been no communication! I would like to see the policy, a confirmation of having signed up and details about billing, something indicating this is confirmed. Maybe I missed an email?

It was easy to sign up

It was easy to sign up, didn't get a bunch of phone calls, emails or other solicitations. Everything was able to be done in a couple mins online. The only thing I would have liked a screen with hey if you replace your existing with a combined coverage option, this would be your new price it may have saved me money and may have switched my other ins over as well.
