Landal Barnsoul Lodge 15. This was the worst accomodation we have ever stayed in. We are an elderly couple in our 70's and have listed the following: filthy damaged sofa we wouldn't sit on, damage... See more

All over great
The location of the park, the size, and the amount of activities available there were first class. Our cabin was situated in the woods with no neighbours overlooking and right by the golf course. Stunning scenery with foxs and pheasant everywhere. The leisure was beautiful, seemed brand new and clean. My only niggle was with the cabin itself, although brand new you could tell the furniture wasn’t and the sofas had some light marks that could easily be fixed with a clean in the washing machine. The second bedroom was fine for us with 2 children but would be way too small for 2 adults so probably worth noting for groups of 4 adults. All In all it was a great stay and we would definitely return
Beautiful site with some lovely walks
Beautiful site with some lovely walks. Internet connection in lodges poor which suited me.
Lodge stunning and private hot tub. Staff friendly and helpful and shop on site really good.
Loved every second.
Lodge a little ‘tired’
We felt the lodge was a little ‘tired’!
The hot tub jets were very poor.
The bin lid didn’t close.
There was no kitchen welcome pack.
The bucket in the sauna was broken and could not hold water.
We couldn’t get our dvd to play in the tv.
We have been coming to Piperdam for many years but our last few visits have been in lodges that we’re past their best!
We had a brill stay
We had a brill stay, the cabin was clean the hot tub was nicely secluded. We used the sauna every day of our stay. We used the pub on the site good food and service.
Beautiful lodges in a lovely forest…
Beautiful lodges in a lovely forest location. We felt it was a really relaxing break among the trees and the hot tub was an extra pleasure. It was good to have the onsite bar/restaurant, where we enjoyed good food and drink. We also found the onsite Birds of Prey centre really interesting and well worth a visit, with very knowledgeable staff. We did a lot of the walks around the reservoir, of varying lengths and really enjoyed them. There is also an onsite pool and spa. We found all the staff at Kielder to be extremely friendly and very helpful.
Lodge was very spacious and…
Lodge was very spacious and comfortable, could have been better equipped ie with crockery and kitchen utensils. Private sauna was excellent as was the hot tub. its not the prettiest part of Scotland but was very peaceful. Downside was when some of Scotlands finest turned up for the weekend and decided to party all night. Reception is not manned 24 hours, so wasn't sure how to deal with it. In hindsight I should have called the police. Information wasn't clear enough on use of facilities, large groups, guests, etc, which is a shame because we had such a bad couple of nights we were almost thinking of leaving early.
Lovely haven of green...
Lovely haven of green.... Cabin was top notch... Staff in the restaurant friendly... The surrounding villages a pleasant amble with quirky shops. The cable cars were a pleasant surprise. A lovely relaxing break.... A nice alternative to the usual 👍😊
Relaxing
A beautiful place to sit back and forget about all your worries ( well for a few days anyway ) staff were lovely the lodge was excellent and the surrounding walks were beautiful. Would definitely recommend
A lovely wee holiday at Piperdam for…
A lovely wee holiday at Piperdam for the family. We did a few activities, but the foot golf was the clear winner for us. Great fun all round. The food at the bar was good and they had a band on, on one of the nights and they were not too bad. The only two issues that we had and having been previously on a few occasions, we were hoping would have been rectified was the roads in the accommodation area and the path down to the main area from the same place. We first went to Piperdam in 2008 and it was like driving over the surface of the moon, such was the extent of the potholes in the roads and here we are 11 years later and still the same. The path from the accommodation that runs down the side of the housing estate for the most part is good, but if you are wearing a pair of trainers or good shoes then don't expect them to be clean when you get to your destination. There is a part of the path that is sodden and muddy.I managed to get a few hours at the fishery next door, which was great but I think Piperdam are missing a trick, by closing their fishing loch.
So all told only a couple of things that are required to get this place up to where it should be and save the suspension in my car and longevity of my white trainers. We will definitely return.
fab Short break at kielder
The long weekend was a great break for us.
The venue was lovely with some fab facilities
The accommodation was really nice especially the hot tub.
Action packed weekend
Had a fantastic break at Landal…
Had a fantastic break at Landal Kielder, very relaxing facilities were brilliant. Staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Piperdam weekend
We had a great time the lodge was beautiful the hot tub and sauna were great. We ate in the restaurant both night and the food was great and reasonable
Cannot fault and can't wait to return
The cabin we stayed in was spotlessly clean and had all you need for a self catering holiday and more. The restaurant/pub provided a gorgeous meal and every employee we spoke to across the site was just lovely. The location itself was a perfect base for investigating local points of interest and the woodland surrounding the site was naturally beautiful and perfect for an early morning or after dinner walk. Can't wait to return

Exceptional accommodation, friendly helpful staff, excellent location, beautiful surroundings, daily maintenance to hot tub was reassuring to see, would highly recommend any landal Park well worth the money.
Excellent stay

Excellent friendly staff
Stunning surroundings
What a place to relax and unwind
Brilliant holiday
Brilliant holiday. Stunning setting with beautiful lodge. Went in August so not cheap but worth every penny. Two young geandxhildren loved it. Loads to do- free kids acticities or small charge (segway for kids £10). Restaurant good and kids play areas so that they can have fun whilst the oldies relax over a couple if drinks. All too short, so we'll be back!
Great site
Great accommodation, friendly helpful staff and beautiful, clean site. Took our dog and there are lots of trails for walking directly from the site (with or without a dog!). This is a quiet site, there is a pool, a pub and a few other activities/ facilities but we mainly used it as a base. It is well located for days out around the Peak District (also Alton Towers is less than an hours drive if that’s your cup of tea). Only gripe - which some might see as a bonus - was the Wi-fi and 4G signal wasn’t good and with 4 teenagers in tow, that was a challenge.
However, nothing could spoil this site for us. Will definitely be back.
