Untrustworthy

Sold a laptop to them. It was almost brand new from John Lewis but battery stopped working and I never got around to taking it back to be fixed, its just been sitting in its original packaging. Laptop direct gave me a quote of £41 to buy it based upon accurate model description right down to the model number and me clearly stating "battery non-functioning / missing". After sending the laptop to them this is the email I received in return: "Faulty battery - doesn't hold charge. Marks on lid. Worn keyboard and touchpad. CPU older than 6 years. We will offer you £10". Regarding the battery and CPU, they had this information when they quoted the £41. Regarding the marks / wear, they're simply making it up, I'd say it was in pristine condition. But they have my laptop so they can say anything they want, they are holding me to blackmail.

CAUTION!!

CAUTION!!! CAUTION!!! CAUTION!!! They sold me a used HDD as new and damaged. The disc came in a non-original package, wrapped in bubble wrap, mostly damaged. I am trying to recover the lost 500 E, unfortunately the customer service only asks for more photos and does nothing. Stay away from this store.

BASICALLY THEY SCAM

Terrible customer service. They sold me a broken piece of equipment and accepted a return for inspection. They asked when suits me for collection. They then messed me about until I gave up. They don't want returns. They want to sell you refurbished junk and then mess with you until you stop calling. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS.

It could have been better...

Laptopdirect flagged my review, seriously??
Nope, you'll keep it as your service was absolutely not good enough.

This is the original review:
Prices are good, but the monitor arrived with dead pixels.
I don't understand the fact that you have to add 15 bucks to get your monitor checked before shipping.
Not happy with this purchase.

Damaged item, extremely poor service.

Hi, I'm writing this review after three weeks of my purchase. I've received a damaged item and after I contacted the support team, which was at first very helpful, now I am still waiting without the item I can use, and almost 3k euro gone.
They just reply with copy/paste email text and never to your specific query.
I've been proposed a ridiculous refund of 120£ (4.8% of the item price) for a dent that ruined the product and worst it could have highly damaged its components.
I've been waiting for a week just to found out that the courier for the collection is not reachable so I've been left in this limbo. Ps: all this could be simple avoided by providing a proper packaging for the item, which was very expensive and fragile, shame on you guys.

STAY AWAY!!!STAY AWAY!!!STAY AWAY!!!

STAY AWAY!!!STAY AWAY!!!STAY AWAY!!!
All of them should have been put in jail, from the CEO to the last ass-kisser employee, for scamming people for years and years.
For :
-Falsely advertising items they don't even have on stock
-Doubling prices from one month to another
-Selling Laptops that don't even work
-Often not delivering the purchased items for months
-Changing delivery dates just before the date you ought to fulfill them
-Making excuses such as COVID and late shipment from their suppliers
-Paying people/ writing scripts to give the company 5-star reviews on review websites
(All of the 5-star reviews are written by bots, they aren't written by genuine real human customers)
-They encouraging the customers to get in touch through "PREMIUM" numbers, often charging them 100+ Euro for a single call.
STAY AWAY!!!STAY AWAY!!!STAY AWAY!!!

This seller is very good and I can recommend it

All our phones and laptops for last couple years I have gotten from the Laptopdirect. The trustable company, with the fact dispatch and a great price range.
Our days is the difficult time and we must stay patience as much as it possible. Keep in your mind that a lot of manufactories were closed due Covid-19. That's way some products off of stock.
Huge pressure on the deliveries companies. We cannot rate online shops because of delivery delays. This seller is very good and I can recommend it.

Well...I give 0 star if I have this option. Completely lost of time...after 2 weeks and couple email's when they avoid to give clear
information and provide my with misleading details found out my product "is not in stock" despite they still sale this on website including on next day delivery. I will advise to stay away to avoid any time lost and disappointment ...First experience and most surely the last.

Worst website for ordering pc parts

I never leave any reviews anywhere. So things must have been bad if I'm leaving this one.
-bad customer service
-made mistakes with my order 4 times
-said things were in stock which weren't
-employees responsible for computing, not educated in that field.
-customer service sales vs support waiting times ridiculous, 2min for sales, 40min+ for support
At the end my pc build stretched out from 4 days waiting to 3 weeks.
Never again from here just going to order from amazon.

I have bought in the past a laptop that…

I have bought in the past a laptop that had a display problem , reported it , sent it back got my money back really quick , and other good products , hard drive (super happy) , Hawaii phone (super happy) , ... now i bought a samsung s8, on the website it says brand new , call them about it , same thing they said , got it today , it wasn't sealed , that means that i was lied by them , looks alright the phone , checked it its genuine , so it is not fake , that's good news , but now i have to call samsung tomorrow to check with them if it was really brand new or not . So when you buy something like that , MAKE SURE IT IS SEALED FROM SAMSUNG . Not other third party companys like them . Overall the company its alright . I don't know why other people left so negative comments ...

Do not trust advertising.

On page say DPD next day delivery. You pay and expect it... reality is that they use TNT, also they will not give you any track number... so forget next day delivery. I will never ever order again from you as you liers.

Bought an expensive monitor

Bought an expensive monitor, after a month the screen started flickering. When I phoned to ask about bringing it back I was told it was nothing to do with them and to contact the company who made them ! !
BEWARE.
Currys would have swapped it straightaway.

UK Samsung phone[but it was a modified one not for UK market]

Ordered a UK Samsung phone [rang them before placing the order to make sure that it was a UK version, and they assured me that it was], when it arrived it wasn't a UK version, and had a sticker saying that it had been modified by a 3rd party, so I immediately contact to send back. First they offered me a small discount to keep it, I said no, I don't want it I ordered a UK phone, only I want a refund, finally after a fair amount of phone calls and emails the item was returned and today my credit card has been reimbursed £319 [cost of phone], but not the £9.99 [delivery charge I paid]. Absolutely shocking,,, I never would have ordered the phone had they been honest from the start and not try to mislead me, so they should 100% accept responsibility for the delivery charge as well....
***UPDATE: They refunded the delivery charge after I contacted them!...But all in all still a poor experience

They’ve had my lap top six days and lost it. I’m now told I’ll have to wait two more days to get and offer having already waited an extra two days. How do I get my money back ? Goodness knows.
When I log in to their website they’ve never heard of me (using my email) yet they write to me every other day. Watch this space!
