Promised refund never came

Booked an overseas flight with them. The airlines changed the flight and because of Covid the airlines (Qatar) allowed me to book a flight within 2 years of the booking date. However, I had to do it with the travel agent. I called them many times and they did not respond. Finally, I called the credit card company and disputed the charge. Then LBF Travel responded! We agreed that I could change the flight and when I set another travel date, they said that will cost more money although I found a flight which was actually cheaper than the one I booked first. To cut a long story we agreed for them to keep 10% of the original price and refund the rest. But the refund never came. After a month I called my credit card company again and disputed the charges (in this case the refund that never came) and my credit card company refunded the charge.

Impossible to cancel

In the rush of a missed flight by mistake I booked a flight on a wrong date. After 2-3 minutes I realized the mistake and I tried to cancel, impossible, I could not find any link or whatever to cancel it. I was I Amsterdam (cannot call and spend more money waiting for someone to answer) so I wrote the Airline they booked to cancel. To make it short, emailed back and forth with them and they promised to refund it but they didn't do it. Credit Card refused to accept my claim. DO NOT USE THEM

Beware hidden fees!!!

I booked a ticket with them and at checkout they automatically add in "optional fees" to your fare. They added their own "flexible insurance" for $70. When I called to get that removed they told me I had to email them. I did exactly as they instructed and still no refund. This is a common scam. They forced me to pay a flexibility fee and when I tried to change or cancel the tickets they refused. WHAT'S THE POINT OF FLEXIBLE FEES IF IT'S NOT FLEXIBLE?! STAY AWAY FROM THESE MODERN DAY PIRATES.

Booked a ticket through them

Booked a ticket through them. My granddaughter got COVID and we had to cancel her flight and we had insurance on her ticket. The airline was offering full refunds but I had to work through LBF since I went through them. When I called multiple times they never answer their phones and never return any messages back from my emails. They are Definitely scamming people, one way or another.

I booked a flight with LBF.

I booked a flight with LBF.
My wife and I have covid I tried to cancel our flight I was told they would cancel it minus there fee and over $200.00 from the airline fees. I called the airline they said they would not charge any cancellation fees. I then tried to write them an email and their site would not let my send it into them.

They sell tickets at a lower price

They sell tickets at a lower price, than they tell you that the airline didn't confirm the tickets and the price has gone up. They can either provide you a 80% refund or you have to pay the increased rate. It's a scam website, but really the fault is with Kayak for lettting them operate on their website.

A scam- they charged us twice the actual price of the ticket

We had used the same agency before and had no complaints. However, this time when we called, we got a very helpful Sarah who wound us charging us twice the actual price of the ticket ($1335). We didn't think anything was amiss because we kept hearing about how much everything had gone up because of the pandemic. But when I checked the ticket on the American Airlines website, we found a receipt for the ticket for $711.84 including the reserved aisle seats that we requested. We paid with a Visa card, but the American Airlines ticket was paid for with a Mastercard. So they charged my credit card for $1335, paid $711.84 for the ticket, and pocketed the difference. This agency is a scam.

Scamming people one way or another

Booked a ticket through them. The flight was canceled by the airline who stopped all flights because of COVID. The airline was offering full refunds but I had to work through point of sales which is LBF travel. They only agreed to pay back 60% of the ticket treating it as a non-refundable ticket and in the process I will be losing about $500. I am still waiting on the refund which according to them could take 1 or 2 billing cycles. They are Definitely scamming people, one way or another.

DO NOT BOOK! SCAMMERS!

Whatever you do, just run. Do not book any flights with this company. Their staff is filled with liars and they lack integrity. I booked my nonstop flight through this company in April 2019 and a day later I received a call from Traveler Help Desk stating that my flight was booked and I needed to book another flight. Surprisingly, the only other options were a flight with a 6 hour layover and a flight 2 days later non-stop. I expressed that I did not want a layover flight especially not 6 hours. Their agent lied stating that it was the only option available. After talking with their representative, I searched the website of the same airline and there was a straight flight available. NO SHOCKER HERE... THEY LIED. I booked my ticket with the airline directly, called them back and informed them of the actions of their rep and stated that they could only give me a $200 refund. Why would I want a $200 refund when I spent $1000 of my hard earned money on this ticket??? I have been battling with this company to receive a refund ever since. Do not book with these scammers. I will post this review about this company on every social media page that I own (Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Snap Chat, Twitter, and my blog) and every review site that exists. This company is disgusting and they will never receive another penny of my money or that of any relative. DO NOT BOOK with CHEAPFARES NOW or Traveler Help Desk aka LBF Travel! SCAMMERS and THIEVES!!!! -Samantha
