LCL Awards is a certification awarding…

LCL Awards is a certification awarding body for Gas Engineers. On undertaking my 5 yearly retraining in an ACS approved training centre I was told that my LCL ID Cards were not valid because they did not have the Certificate Number on them.

The only way around that was to contact LCL and ask for a proof. Which they happily supplied as a SCREENSHOT of their electronic record by email but charged £30.00 fo doing so.

By my reckoning it took them less than 2 minutes to find my record and then if it took them a further 3 minutes to send an email, that puts the admin assistant on £600.00 per hour!

Whilst I expected to have to pay (because I was over a barrel) I think £30.00 for a screen grab photo is massively outrageous.

Forewarned is forearmed. Choose your registration body carefully. This one Rips you Off.
