I can’t even access my account anymore. The website bounces back and forth and no one replies to my emails for assistance.

We first signed up to 'Legal Zoom' but have been passed over to 'Beaumont Legal'. I'm not sure how the two companies work with one another but I think it is important any potential customer reads the experience we are having in case they too are passed over to a sister company.

We are having the worst experience the worst example of customer service and communication from Legal Zoom/Beaumont Legal. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of anyone which is extremely concerning.

We haven’t had any response for over a month despite chasing emails and calls. We have a number of outstanding enquiries on a house purchase, the answers to which the current owner has confirmed they have shared with the solicitors, however we cannot get the information from them.

When you call, it takes you half an hour for someone to pick up, and they just give you statements like ‘I’m sure someone is looking into it’, or blaming the searches ‘they’re taking longer than usual’ when it’s not the searches I’m chasing up. They also make will say ‘someone will reply in 48 hours’ which is completely untrue as we’ve had no reply for over a month.

They are also claiming they are experiencing a high volume of cases due to the stamp duty holiday however that has been their decision to take on excess cases they cannot handle. At no point was it communicated to us that this would mean we wouldn’t receive any communication for weeks and weeks on end.

We’ve also had different representatives provide different information to us and our estate agent, but no one can clarify or confirm.

Please avoid. I am genuinely concerned how this going to affect my house purchase and the entire chain as reading the reviews below I have little confidence the issues are being addressed, they appear to be getting worse.

Complete disaster - Avoid completely

You have to chase and chase to get anything done. They don't reply email or pick calls.

It is exhausting. Not worth the saving on cost.

On completion day, solicitor didnt get money from the bank and completion failed when I already had my movers.

Infact solicitors decided to leave work by 2pm and left me hanging.

Completion did not happen on the planned completion day and had to be done the next day.

Worst solicitor ever!

You have been warned. Avoid completely.

Very poor experience, adding to the already stressful process of buying a house in a pandemic.

Communication was terrible:
We were unable to speak to our case handler for the 10 days leading up to completion. She was not OOO - she just didn't get back to us/respond to any of our numerous call back requests. Spoke to other team members, who told us only the case handler could answer our questions.

Didn't Stick to Quoted Fees:
We were mischarged and had to raise an official complaint to recoup our money.

Poor Attention to Detail:
Documents were sent to me for signing, but they were incomplete/inaccurate which caused additional delays. When I raised this, the case handler's response was 'Whoops, I really should have checked that'.
The most frustrating incident was receiving a demand for additional funds (3% of purchase price) hours before completion.
By this stage, we had had such an awful experience that we expected them to mess up, so we had additional funds on standby and were fortunately able to transfer the funds in time. However, if we had trusted in our solicitors, we most likely would have failed to complete on time.

We raised these issues with Beaumont and were told that their internal review found no issues with the handling of the case.

Easy process, affordable and well explained. The only thing stopping me giving 5 stars, is that I can now only add extra products to my basket, but cant actually process a transaction.

The first time around was super simple, thank you so much! process took under 46hrs, very pleased

Honestly, I had nothing but good things to say about LegalZoom. There were some communication issues and blackouts when our account handler was unreachable and there wasn't an awful lot of communication between my solicitor and the sellers which meant I was updating the estate agents to help keep the seller informed.

We had an incredibly quick process, within 8 weeks we had the keys and it was pretty good to be honest. They were helpful and understanding.

The reason I am only giving them 3 stars is because 7 weeks after we settled our bill and completed on our purchase I was contacted and asked for more money because they'd apparently miscalculated my bill and I was told to pay it immediately. - I don't understand why it took 7 weeks to realise they made an error and the bill was already more than I was quoted in the first place.

Excellent customer service, spoke to an advisor in the morning and my new company was set up/approved by 2pm same day. Brilliant!!

We have used Legalzoom for a remortgage of a property as well as a sale and purchase. The service from them was excellent. Communication by phone and email was always clear and prompt. Their online portal service was a great way for us to understand where we were in the process at any time and the chat function was a helpful way to get in touch with any questions. Our experience with solicitors in the past hasn't always been very positive, but the team at Legalzoom really were great. We would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Amazing from start to finish, Lailah was super efficient and then Chloe helping us on exchange/completion day. Huge thank you for Dharmy for pushing the last bit through couldn't of done it without your assistance :)

Legalzoom are the solicitors that my buyers are currently using for conveyancing and can honestly say I’m astonished at their complete lack of customer service, sense of urgency and decency. It seems to take at least a week to do what other solicitors would expect to have done in a few hours and they have constantly ignored emails from various people asking for updates. They’re responsible for at least a month of delays already. Obviously not coping with their workload, either incompetent or ignorant. I’d avoid at all costs.

LegalZoom have been carrying out the conveyancing for a property I’ve been purchasing over the last couple of months, through the process my contact, Megann Bray, has been exceptional in keeping me updated and making sense of the process for me. At no point did I ever have to do any chasing when it came to the solicitors. Recently, the purchase fell through due to failures by my mortgage broker, and even now I’m blown away by the support and consideration I’ve received from Megann and her team. As a first time buyer, I couldn’t of hoped for a better experience from my solicitors, and hope to be using them again soon.

Excellent service and great communication from start to finish. Spoke to several people via email and phone and were all very helpful. Towards the end, they pushed it completely from their end when other solictors weren't responding. Very impressed and would highly recommend. Completed today. Thank you.

Would not reccomend this company. Completion was agreed Friday 15th May and still no completion has went through. No return phone calls, can never speak to file handler, 1 hour hold to try and speak to someone, numerous excuses regarding delayed completion. No correspondence with other side solicitor regarding update for delayed completion. Should not have to tell a company how to do their jobs. I would give zero stars if I could!

Your experience will be dependent on the case handler assigned to you. Despite eventually getting the purchase completed, my emails and calls went ignored. I had to escalate to the department head and director to get things moving. I wouldn't use in the future, easier to deal with local solicitors.

Very professional at all times,kept me updated with the remortgage and help me with any difficulty .
