Legend Expeditions deserves more than 5 stars! Jack Fleckney was absolutely incredible—his skills, leadership, and attention to detail were unmatched, and he made sure we felt safe every step of the way. This wasn’t his usual expedition, but nothing is too small or too great for him, and he absolutely delivered beyond expectations. A massive shoutout to Dudders too (Jack - Astonhulls adventure) who went above and beyond to look after everyone, with his skills, experience and energy, he absolutely smashed it. The whole team was amazing—just the loveliest group of people to share such an unforgettable experience with. It was hands down the best week ever, all for an incredible charity. We really couldn’t have done it without them! If you’re considering an adventure, I highly recommend these guys for anything. They’re a pleasure to be around and make anything seem possible. Thank you so much for everything!

Where to begin?! I don’t have enough good things to say about Legend Expeditions and the exceptional team of Jack and Sam. From the outset, Jack made the team feel relaxed, excited and well-taken care of. Everything is extremely well organised (transport, accommodation, airport and tour transfers) and communication with Jack and Sam leading up to the trip was great - both were super responsive and very helpful. Even when I wasn’t able to attend group planning calls prior to departure, Jack made sure to make himself available for individual calls so that I felt prepared and could ask any questions. Jack was also constantly available during our travel to Tanzania and quickly readjusted pickup and transit times when my flight was delayed and a subsequent flight leg needed to be re-booked.

From the moment we touched down in Tanzania, we continued to be expertly looked after. Upon arrival, Jack individually ran through our gear with us to make sure we were adequately prepared, and additional gear was available to rent if we were missing anything. The trek itself was incredible - stunningly beautiful, challenging and extremely rewarding. Delicious meals and snacks throughout the trip kept us well-fuelled, and Jack and Sam kept our family and friends back home up-to-date on our itinerary and progress. The local team that Jack and Sam have curated - the guides, porters, chefs and the rest of the team - are truly incredible and felt like a supportive family by the end of the trip. Jack’s infectious personality and enthusiasm for Tanzania and Kilimanjaro (and life generally!) brought everyone together and motivated the team through the harder parts of the climb - in particular, the difficult summit day!

I would HIGHLY recommend Legend Expeditions and would definitely book another trip with the team in the future! Thank you again!

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Legends Team was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, the entire journey was nothing short of extraordinary. I met Jack in a zoom meeting for a group that I was part of climbing Kilimanjaro with a different company for charity. Jack was giving us all valuable insight into what we could expect on our adventure, even though we were not going with Legend Expeditions that, to me, speaks volumes about a persons character and integrity, going above and beyond!
Jack welcomed us all to contact him should he be able to assist any of us further. I did just this when I decided I would like to go on safari after my climb, which was only a few weeks away! This was not a problem for Legend Expeditions, my solo safari was organised swiftly, cost effectively and tailored to me.

I was collected from my hotel by Jackson and Chris:

Day 1: Lake Manyara
Day2: Ngorongoro Crater
Day 3: Tarangire National Park

Lady Luck was shining on me because I saw all of the top big 5, leopard, rhino, lion, African elephants and buffalo as well as lions mating, hippo's, velvet monkeys, hartara ibis, sacred ibis, baboons, grey headed kingfisher, warthogs, dik dik, impala, bush buck, herons, egrets, storks, lesser and greater flamingos, red billed horn bill, fish eagle, grant gazelle, egyptian goose, guinea fowl, western wildebeest, thompson gazelle, hyena, ostrich, jekyllswater buck, steppe eagle, rock hyra, marshall eagle, eastern wildebeest, bare faced go away birds mating and three lionesses who had just killed a zebra for their three cubs!!! To name a few!!!
ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING!!!

Both lodges that Jack had arranged for me were wonderful! Service, amenities, pool and staff all 5 star, nothing was too much bother and I felt safe and secure as a lone traveller at all times.

Chris my guide was knowledgeable, friendly, witty and happy! A great host!

Jackson came to pick me up in the middle of the night to personally take me to the airport, what fabulous service!!

Jack kept in constant contact with me prior to me leaving the UK, whilst I climbed Kili and on safari, this level of communication was beyond my expectation! and we have kept in touch afterwards because I will certainly be going on another adventure with them!

Where to start? This trip to Kilimanjaro followed by a safari has been one of the most enjoyable and challenging of my life! When Jack came to our gym to present the trip I was inspired by the clarity and detail of the expedition and as I had spent my early childhood in East Africa it became a no-brainer.
The trip lived up to and beyond all expectations, the preparation, the support, every detail was addressed. It is a tough climb but thoroughly enjoyable with the fantastic team supporting and motivating us, pole pole, hakuna matata!

From the outset Jack and Sam make you feel totally relaxed about the task at hand. Never further than a call, text or email away. No question was too small and was dealt with in a speedy and effective manner. I had climbed Kilimanjaro before and wanted my partner and I to experience it together. I could see instantly how differently Legend operated. With the previous company all communication was by email alone and I met none of the team or climbers until I landed at Kilimanjaro airport.
Before we had even signed up to the expedition we had had a face-to-face meeting with Jack for coffee. This personal treatment ran right through the expedition from beginning to end. Nearer to the departure date we had the opportunity to facetime with the rest of the climbers. This not only gave you the opportunity to see the people you would be spending the expedition with, but to hear questions you may not have even thought about.
Legends ethos of treating and paying their Tanzanian guides and porters a fair wage can be seen when you meet them. Always happy and smiling where nothing is too much trouble.
We found the food on the mountain to be of an excellent standard. Although some of our group were vegetarian or had food intolerances. They were all catered for.
I would whole heartedly recommend adding the safari package on to your trip. The knowledge of the Legend team on locating and explaining about the animals is second to none. The accommodation and catering were also excellent.
As you may have gleamed from my review, I cannot recommend this company enough. So, stop squirreling your money away or pandering to doubt and get signed up for the next climb. I guarantee you will not regret using Legend.

What a wonderful, amazing adventure we had. All our questions and queries all answered by Sam and Jack before the trip and weekly updates and info running up to our departure date. From arriving at Kilimanjaro Airport until our departure two weeks later, Jack and his team were always there to help and guide us on our way. I cannot speak highly enough of how professional, organized and friendly the team is. Nothing was too much trouble.
Jack has so much experience in the country and with other expeditions, speaking Swahili, and having a dedicated team of guides, porters, cooks etc.
From updates to family and friends whilst we were climbing, to all our needs whilst on the mountain.
The three day Safari was also amazing!

Everything is planned down to the finest detail so as to reduce as much responsibility as possible on you as a client. Clearly they can't carry you to the top of the mountain, but they'll do everything in their power to give you the opportunity to get there. Travelled to Tanzania with Legends to climb Mount Kilimanjaro followed by a 3-day Safari. Thanks to Jack and the team for a fantastic trip.

The organisation and guidance was immense from start to finish. Receiving an in-depth kit list, pre-trip video calls and flight recommendations ensured the group was fully prepared and removed all stress. Additionally weekly emails prior to and daily briefings during the trip gave full sight of what to expect and some local geography and history understanding.

Kilimanjaro and Tanzania itself are surreal, a fantastic range of beautiful landscapes and scenery. Huge appreciation for the local guides and wider team, all made a massive effort to share their knowledge and display their culture/region. Also the airport pickup and drop off by the guides themselves.

Would highly recommend Legends and looking to book another expedition with the team in 2025. A very apt company name!

My Kilimanjaro trip with Legend Expeditions was exceptional. Jack and Sam did an amazing job organizing every aspect and looking after us - this started the day we expressed interest in the trip through to the flight home. They took care of so many small details behind the scenes - managing flight issues, equipment rental, menus for meals, communicating with families and friends throughout the hike.

The hike itself was stunningly beautiful and challenging but manageable. The local Tanzanian team of guides, porters, cooks and others were kind, supportive and added a local culture that made the experience really special. Jack was also incredibly motivating at the most difficult moments.

I would sign up for any trip organized by Legend Expeditions and couldn’t recommend this team more highly.

I couldn't say enough great things about my experience with the Legend team - Jack, Sam, Jackson, Nelson, Fadhili, and co. I recently climbed Mt. An experience of a lifetime with a very knowledgeable, helpful and personable team. Pre trip information was clear, consistent and easy to follow, with the team on hand for questions if needed. Practical advice about the kit list was particularly helpful. During the trip, the team made the effort to understand personal needs and adapt daily activities appropriately. The local team were excellent and a safe pair of hands to guide you safely, listening to their guidance is valuable. The hike, in particular the summit, should not be under estimated and it's very much a personal journey of what you get from it with the team motivating you along the way.

I was fortunate enough to climb Kilimanjaro with Legend Expeditions this August. From start to finish Jack & Sam had everything organised to the finest detail, meaning all I had to do was follow a checklist and show up! The regular check ins prior to the trip meant I felt very excited but also had a lot of trust in the team and wasn't apprehensive at any stage!
Not only is the entire team extremely professional, but they also bring great energy and fun making sure everyone is motivated to keep going and achieve what we all set out to do!

Amazing experience from start to finish.

Legend organised everything from the journey out from London through to the days spent in Marrakech, up Mount Toubkal and the awesome experience in the Agafay Desert.

Jack was on hand to help in the weeks up to the expedition, proving detailed information on the plan for climbing Toubkal, the equipment needed and provided expert answers to all my questions (highlighting his deep knowledge). He also made it very easy to accommodate a request to extend the stay in Morocco a few more days - as well as kindly providing his travel book for tips over those extra few days.

Out in Morocco, Jack and the Legend team (including Hamid the guide) were on hand to make every part of the experience as easy as possible. From providing a fresh coffee in the mornings, amazing food during the hike through to providing the personal motivation and support (and music!) to get all the way up to the summit and back, all while checking to make sure we were managing the altitude changes.

And to top it all off at the end, it was great to have an amazing photo frame to keep the memory of the experience!

This was the most amazing 7 days! The combination of the challenge of climbing Tubkal, camel riding and relaxing in the desert and then exploring Marrakesh was perfect.

Also, having everything planned and organised for me was a huge treat! And the team did it wonderfully. Looking forward to my next adventure when them!
