Only LGI
My name is Angela cheatham. I am a first-time buyer and was hesitant in picking my builder. LGI, has absolutely exceeded my expectations. First off, the crew! Mr steve, I call him with much respect, was so nice, and I expect them to be nice but he has an energy and a passion for his job that is so noticeable and he was actually the pinpoint for me to continue finding out about LGI. Such manners and respect, always had the answer at the tip of his tongue, always answer the phone and always answered text messages. I could go on and on about Steve but you just have to find out for yourself. The company, and general, let me just tell you how beautiful my home is. I've been here for 3 weeks and I feel like heaven when I walk in my door. I truly mean that. Even though this is a style home that not many measures can be changed, I absolutely love the design. If anyone has any questions about my experience, feel free to call me. My phone number is 469-615-0059. And may I suggest a remax agent for you, his name is Matt and I don't have his last name in front of me but again, this was the best dude ever! Was always there always answer the phone had the answers at the tip of his tongue, made great suggestions for people that he knows from everywhere about utilities etc. Please call me if you have any questions and have a blessed day

I am a first time homebuyer
I am a first time homebuyer. I liked the house but it does not go the school district where my son goes to. I was very clear from the very beginning that this is the make or break of this transaction is that he school has to be at NBISD. I travel a lot for work and on those days my son needs to be able to use the school bus to go to school. I was told that the home feeds into this school. I paid the ernest money. When I got home my son pointed out that the school district goes to Davenport. I wanted to take back my ernest money and they won’t give it back. This is frustrating. Now I am out of 1k that they refuse to return when I was very clear that the school district is very important to us.----

Ft. Myers - Carrie Budds saved the day on our deal!
Our loan officer Carrie Budds singlehandedly saved this deal. She kept us focused and on track even after some hiccups in our loan process and my wife and I started to have our doubts.
On the day of, Carrie reached out and got our closing to go through after issues with paperwork transfers. Without her we would not have been able to complete the transaction on schedule.
Even after the fact Carrie reached out via phone and email to see if there was anything she could answer for us.
We moved in this week and so far so good.
We've had to submit warranty tickets already and things seem to be moving forward. Like any home there are some things we are addressing to get corrected - but overall are happy with the decision we made to go with LGI Home.
I think if you are in the market for a home and are ok working within the parameters of an all-in-one builder, then LGI is a solid option to go with.

Horrible sales person
Horrible sales person. Super rude. He drove fast through the neighborhood to show us houses. He barely said a word to us & even said better homes were at Beacon Lake. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend we never received any information about the houses after our visit.

Please do not buy a home from LGI
Please do not buy a home from LGI. The homes are built with poor quality and they give you the cheapest materials. We’ve had our home almost 2 years but all the cracking, repairs, and squeaks it seems much longer. Save your time and buy a better quality home because LGI is not it!

Buyer Beware
The house was brand new upon move in. The big problem is the fence. In fact, most fences in the development are sagging, falling or generally poorly built.
LGI knows its shoddy build but will do nothing about it. Fencing is not under warranty. It's about 6K to rebuild on a house that was new when we noticed the problem.
Look very carefully. If you see problems imagine what you can't see.

The community is great
The community is great, great job with the sales person who help me Mike, but when now the person who is charge of the walk thru Eric at the time made he first contact I was advised to contact him later due to the holidays he stop answering the phone then at the sales office I was told to Contact Miguel Carrillo he even gave me a time an date that he could be here ask me to text him as well, he never show up never reply back to any of my texts messages. I put a lot of money to move here I guess no value there! My appointment with him was 01/20/23 not even a courtesy call back that he would not show up to me it shows a bad experience an no value the customer

DISHONEST AND UNETHICAL
This company is horrible! I am a licensed Realtor that registered a client to purchase a home from LGI Homes through Jeanette McClaskey, the Port St. Lucie LGI sales rep. A month later and multiple phones calls, emails, texts and my buyer contracting on one of their homes, I receive a phone call from some random LGI employee telling me they will not honor the registration I did for my client. They claim that my client clicked on one of their ads on Instagram and I cannot be registered as the buyers agent nor will they pay a commission to me. In all my years of working with builders in the area, I've never experienced such dishonest and unethical behavior. I will never recommend this company to anyone. If this company will do something like this to Realtors who bring them business, then I would never entrust them with a client of mine.

Many flaws with the house and they don't come fix it as promised.
They are shady and not trust worthy. I just bought a house in Fort Worth, and the entire process was so shady. The house has so many issues and they don't pick up calls to come fix it. There's nails sticking out from the carpet everywhere that's poking us and making us bleed. The paint job inside the house is horrible. Lots of things are missing, but they avoid picking up calls and don't reply to text to come fix it.

We moved in our home in Fort Myers in…
We moved in our home in Fort Myers in November. There are so many things wrong such as the aluminum siding has been pieced together the landscaping looks like a child did the work. Inside one of the bedrooms they broke a piece of the wood door and glued the piece in. Very cheap doors and windows. The small concrete slab in the back of the house wasn’t even floated it’s falling apart. Items found prior to settlement we found are still not fixed. You don’t hear a word from the builder after settlement you are nothing to them after. Stay away from this builder.
