Latest email from Jennifer:

“I fully understand your situation. However, please try to understand that we do provide a service for customers that apply for a Driving License.

As previously mentioned, our service is charging an extra £79.

We do empathize with your situation and are willing to reach a settlement, where this service was not rendered free of charge as we are a business that deals with clients who need their Driving Licence in an express amount of time.

Please try to understand that we are offering this refund as we are able to understand that this was an error on your behalf and that you didn't inform yourself about the terms and the conditions that you agreed upon.

We are willing to compromise as this kind of thing happens to all of us from time to time that is why we do have a refund policy which we want to keep fair for both parties.
We are willing to provide you with £40 as the £14 goes to the government in any case.

Does this sound fair to you?

Take care and sincerely yours,

Licence Safe Scam

Like others i searched for gov.uk licence renewal and found myself at this site. I can now see all the things I missed and cannot believe it. I write this in the hope that someone else won't make this mistake. They are charging you £79 (£93 in total) to put all the information you have given them into the correct site. They shouldn't be allowed to be the lead site on this search. You can see how they fund that place and why they do it. I'm currently trying to get through to my bank then Action Fraud. Why would anyone want to pay £93 for something that should be £14?

Update 1

My bank can do nothing until the transaction is on my account then may be able to do a chargeback

Spoken to DVLA and the application has been put through and appears to be in order

No response from Licencesafe

Reported to Action Fraud Police

Update 2

I have just had a response from contact at drivinglicenceassistance dot co dot uk

I have replied using this from an earlier post. Thanks to the original post for this help.....

I put “FRAUD” in subject heading.

You have not complied with S10 of the Regulations.
There is no legally binding contract.
You are not entitled to any payment.
I want a full refund.
If the refund is not received, I will refer the matter to Action Fraud. Police

Update 3

I have had an offer of £30. I replied with this, thanks to the original post for this guidance...

Online purchases are covered by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, Section 10, which Licencesafe have not complied with. There is no legally binding contract and you are not entitled to any payment. I want a full refund of (INSERT AMOUNT) as stated in my previous emails of (INSERT DATES).

If the full refund of (INSERT AMOUNT) is not received by (INSERT DATE & TIME), I will refer the matter to Action Fraud Police.

Update 4

24 hours in and I now have a £50 offer.

I have declined it and sent a further message referring to 14 day cooling off period and GDPR

Update 5

I have now received a refund email telling me as agreed they have refunded £60. Obviously there is no agreement to this nor any conversation so I have sent another email.

Lots of 5 star reviews have suddenly landed. Please do not believe them and press on the flag to report them if you can

Update 6

Jennifer tells me she can't offer me more than £60 and that I have received a service. I've reiterated the 14 day cooling off period etc. The game continues...

Update 7

Another couple of emails telling me £60 was the maximum offer. I stood firm and just repeated what I had already said. I then got another refund email for £19 which would be a full refund. My license arrived yesterday but I'm not changing my score because of all they have put me through.

I've rung my bank about recurring payment situation and they are raising a report to put a stop to that.

Now I will be tackling my personal details being removed from their records.

Scam

Scam

I see how licence safe have quickly changed some of there reviews and trying to state don't blame the company coz of our mistakes

NO licence safe you no damn well what you are doing and trying to mislead people into believing they are on the gov website

You are a disgrace and do you think people are stupid to believe all the positive reviews are real people who have used your service and been charged lots of money and are happy to of made a bloody mistake 😂🤣 don't make me laugh

People have 14days cooling off period and I am sure people have contacted you immediately after realising they have been conned to cancel there application so dont even try to say you have started the process before the money has even gone through

Licence safe do the decent thing and pay people back in full

Do not be fooled like I was!

I would give this company no stars if it was possible. I was fooled into thinking I was on the DVLA site to apply for my son’s provisional licence. The first page of the application process has a box to apply. However you don’t see the small print because the ‘apply’ button is conveniently located before the small print so you don’t see it unless you scroll down. I have no doubt that if the apply button was below all the small print, this ‘service’ would not be used. I had sudden reservations once I had applied and realised I had been scammed. I emailed Licence safe minutes after I paid requesting a refund. Surprise, surprise no response. Had the application process looked like the website, I would have been alerted to the fact that it wasn’t the DVLA. I contacted my bank and intend to raise a dispute once the payment has been processed ( it is currently pending). If this isn't successful and I don’t get a refund, I fully intend pursuing my money via Money Claims Online. £113 was taken out of my account for a licence which costs £34 via the DVLA. Utter disgrace.

SCAM

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
Recently needed to renew my driving license which is £14 on the DVLA (stupidly) googled it and clicked the link not realising it took me to license safe.
No where does it tell you the fee (£79) to process it. Or the ‘terms’ as the online bot Jennifer told me I should’ve made myself aware of. Reported to the bank and I soon got a refund from them. Absolute bullsh*t company.

This company is a scam!!

This company is a scam!!! The same generic email is sent out to everyone. I eventually got £70 of my £79 back after days going back and fourth with so called Jennifer via email as there is no number to actually speak to anyone . Kept offering me more each email and stating it was final and that they would be doing me a favour as opposed to refunding my money they had conned me out of, then forgetting what they had offered. Dreadful company. Don’t give up and eventually you should get a refund .

KEEP CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY

KEEP CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY
I would not even give this company a star at all but need to write the review. I would under NO circumstances recommend this company to anyone. I accidentally used this site instead of DVLA which is very misleading as it is very similar. I only wanted to change my address which is a free service and it clearly stated on the form that the fee was £00.00, to then find they had taken £79 out of my account. On contacting the company Jennifer(contact@drivinglicenceassistance.)co.uk contacted me back trying to coax me into using this service, after numerous emails of me stating that I do NOT want to use the service that no service has been provided to me by them, I am still having to fight for my own money back. Effectively the know that they are in the wrong as they keep increasing the offer to me, it has now gone from £30 to £50 and still ongoing. If you are reading this and it has happened to you please do not give up and keep fighting as you will get your money back!!

But I’m happy they issued request for licence renewal to dvla within hours
And organised a parcial refund that was acceptable to me

Five star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I got the full £79 refunded ONLY after…

I got the full £79 refunded ONLY after preserving. I was offered £30 to start with, being told I had been offered the maximum amount each time. I reiterated that I had cancelled with 24hrs and the law untitled me to a full refund. I was then offered £40 then £50 then £60 then £65 and finally, after a few days worth of emails, £79. My licence arrived promptly and the money refunded with 24hrs of them agreeing to it. My advice don't be fooled, the law is on your side.

ScamOn DVLA website

I was on the DVLA website following all instructions then went to Make payment licence secure popped up and before you know it £93 as been taken from your back account!! Can someone please tell me off the email address they use to contact this Jennifer ? As all my emails have bounced back saying not genuine... or is it best to contact your bank ? Or the DVLA. But it’s a shocking scam when all said and done

Hi all ,just want to put something…

Hi all ,just want to put something straight !! yes I did the mistake of clicking on this link that comes up first for this company license secure and like most that have said SCAM SCAM!!!! and yes I saw £93 come out of my account very sharpish and after reading reviews I thought like everyone SCAM aswell and being disabled I thought you fool I should have got my carer to help me ... but they are NOT SCAMMING anyone!! !!! I spoke to the same person like most , Jennifer , and she understood my frustration at the costs , and yes most people on here have got a lot more money refunded than I did as I only got £30 and some have got much much more , but she kept in contact all through Wednesday this week even giving me my reference number for my license at midnight via email that day which was Wednesday / Thursday this week yes 3 days ago !!!! which I checked through the gov.uk DVLA site and it was legit .
The next day to be certain ( Thursday ) I rang DVLA and they confirmed it’s all above board and yes they get a lot of calls about this company but your license is on its way and legit !! and this morning I received my new 10 year licence and that’s in just over 3 days YES 3 days !! So even though I’ve technically paid £63 instead of DVLA £14 , I got it all in a few days . So I take back my thoughts about this company as at no time on the site or through email ( which I have kept everyone) have they ( Jennifer) ever said they are affiliated to DVLA they say their a third party company and she said this repeatedly on every email and it clearly says it at the bottom of the site . So even though it’s still a lot of money to me as a disabled person I think 3 days to get your license is spot on .. and the new license are different now which did worry me for a second until I went on the DVLA site for a 2021 comparison and now it just shows UK in bold letters in the top left corner and not imbedded in the euro flag 🇪🇺 For obvious reasons . So yes it costs more and yes it hurts the pocket but I think they have been up front in all my conversations , not been disingenuous at all at any point . So I want to thank Jennifer for getting it done so quickly .

A word of advice.

Just like the rest of you I got caught but I only blame myself. We should always check and double check that we are filing in an official GOV.CO application, I didn’t.
I also assumed that renewing your licence at 70 would incur a small administration charge hence I entered my credit card details but there isn’t a charge it’s free.
The lesson to us all is get your facts right and make sure you are on the correct web page before completing the forms.
However some of the tactics used by this company are dubious to say the least and for that reason I did exactly what Clive said he did in the previous review and made a right royal pest of myself and eventually got a full refund, an apology and my licence renewed.
Lesson two, don’t give up.
If any of you feel that the tactics of this company deserve some scrutiny there is a simple form on the BBC website for Watchdog. All you need to do is refer them to the reviews on Trust Pilot and let them decide if the complaints warrant investigation.
If enough people bring this company to their attention we might make them famous.
For all the wrong reasons.

I got caught but got a full refund.
All u need to do is email them at contact @ drivinglicenceassistance. co. uk and say you do not want the extra service and state the cooling off period and want a full refund.
They will send u emails offering money off each time and just stick to your guns and decline each time.
The emails are all just templates and half of mine contadicted the previous one.
Be nice but firm.
I got my licence through in under a week which i wasnt expecting.
I felt like a clown when i thought i had been scammed and was annoyed at myself but you will get your refund if you persevere so dont worry.

******CON ARTISTS AVOID!!!*******

This company are complete con artists, they charge you £79 for something that you can do yourself with the DVLA in 5 minutes. They sit at the top of Google and make you feel like they’re official.
My wife fell fowl of them and when she realised her mistake she attempted to cancel the service within the 24hr period (as it states in their terms and conditions). The email address the company provide to do this does not accept incoming emails. Due to this by the time you actually manage to find a way to contact them, you are usually out of this 24hr period. You are then met with ‘customer assistant’ Daniel, before being moved onto Jennifer. You then have to have a ridiculous back and forth email conversation with Jennifer, who initially denies that the terms and conditions exist, and when she does admit they exist she will edit them to her narrative (not paying a refund). You then start getting the offers - £30 then £40 then £45 then £55, before you get the final offer of £65. By this point we were so bemused by their incompetent and fraudulent stance that we raised a complaint with our bank. Within two days our bank fraud department had refunded us the full amount. This just shows they are well aware of this dodgy company. Please people avoid them at all costs!!!!!!!!

I also thought I was on the gov.uk website to renew my licence. It was not until I realised they not only tried to take £14 but £93. As per their information after you have paid what you thought was £14 for the licence.

I informed my bank and police as they had all my details and felt this was fraudulent.
