Lies upon lies

Went to view a car and put down £200 deposit. Following this we checked the MOT online and there was an advisory on the brakes. We thought this would be rectified easily given it was supposedly an approved car from a main dealer but this was not the case. We were continually fobbed off with different excuses and lies, spoken to extremely rudely by Mike the “sales manager” and decided to not go ahead with the sale. Another MOT was carried out with no advisories despite there having been no work done on the brakes in the interim period. We have now been waiting 4 weeks for the refund of our deposit which we have been told time and time again is getting done. Yet more lies again this afternoon about the accounts lady not being in today yet another member of staff told me they were. I will be making a complaint about this to head office and customer care. Liverpool Skoda on the other hand have been absolutely excellent and we purchased our new car through them instead.

⚠️ Urgent Warning

⚠️ Urgent Warning: Unethical Practices Targeting Disabled Customers at SKODA Warrington
To Whom It May Concern, Especially Members of the Disability Community,
We are writing to issue a strong warning about our deeply concerning experience at SKODA Warrington. As disabled individuals seeking a vehicle to enhance our mobility through the PIP (Personal Independence Payment) scheme, we were subjected to what we believe was a deliberate act of deception by one of their employees.
During the process of purchasing our new car (our first time using PIP), we were pressured into paying £200 for an insurance policy purportedly covering scratches and scrapes. This employee instructed us to make the payment to an individual named "Miss L N Williams," a request that immediately raised our suspicions. Tragically, our initial apprehension proved to be well-founded, as we have since concluded that this insurance policy did not exist, and we were, in essence, defrauded of our money.
It is particularly distressing that as disabled individuals, who often face additional vulnerabilities, we were targeted in this manner by a seemingly reputable local dealership. We were not aware that any additional insurance was required for PIP-entitled vehicles and trusted SKODA Warrington to operate with integrity.
Following this incident, we attempted to address the issue directly with the dealership. We informed an employee named "Phil" about what had occurred, but our concerns were dismissed without proper attention. Subsequently, we shared our experience in a review on SKODA Stockport to alert others.
In response to our public review, SKODA Warrington stated that an investigation would be conducted. However, we were later informed that this investigation was concluded a mere week later, with no attempt made to contact us for our account of events or the evidence we possess. This evidence includes text messages and a bank transfer confirmation for the £200 payment made to "Miss L N Williams."
The lack of a genuine investigation leads us to believe that the management of SKODA Warrington may be attempting to cover up this dishonest act, which we find deeply disturbing and indicative of a lack of trustworthiness.
We are not seeking the return of the £200. Our sole and urgent aim is to warn the disability community about the unethical practices we experienced at SKODA Warrington. We want to ensure that no other disabled individuals, who may be navigating similar circumstances, become victims of such deceptive tactics. Please be extremely cautious if you choose to engage with this dealership, particularly when purchasing a vehicle through the PIP scheme. You are not required to pay for additional insurance of this nature.
We stand by the veracity of our account and possess the evidence to support it. We hope that by sharing our story, we can prevent future exploitation of disabled individuals seeking essential transportation.
This is a genuine review.

12 Months In

It's almost 12 months since I took delivery of my Karoq Sports-line. Current mileage is 3885 and I can honestly say " I've enjoyed driving every mile. The product is very good and does what it's say's on the tin.
Lightcliffe Warrington Sales were pretty switched on when I ordered my car, the agent was very knowledgeable and made the process seamless. The car has been to servicing for 1 minor issue and again, seamless service. Awesome Dealership.
