Many people were dissatisfied with the high prices and the condition of the products, frequently reporting broken bikes, flat tires, or issues with the electric assistance. Customers also found the service to be poor, with unhelpful responses to complaints and difficulties in resolving payment disputes. Reviewers often mentioned problems with parking locations and the presence of "no-ride zones" that made the service impractical in many areas. BAN THE BIKES OR FINE THE RIDERS HEAVILY! teach them a lesson

I don't want to give a 1 star review because lime don't deserve any stars but got no other option to write the review. It's public knowledge that bikes are left hazardous, wrecklessly and irresponsibly all over the streets in London.
The riders are to blame.
They have no respect for the public, the elderly, the less able-bodied, prams. They break into the bikes and ride and leave anywhere they choose.
LIME won't do ANYTHING ABOUT IT! because they don't want to.

Bike been dumped outside our flat for over a month. Contacted lime 3x and they said they would pick it up but nothing.

Raised an official complaint, person just said they would pass complaint on. Not heard anything. Despicable company.

The app wasn’t ending the ride last…

The app wasn’t ending the ride last night . I had to stand in the street after midnight trying to contact the customer services team for more than 30 minutes., they don’t even have a phone number to call. This was very stress inducing as I didn’t want to leave the bike unlocked . So I stood there until 1am. To make it worse they contacted me today telling me that as a courtesy they will only charge me for the ride which was still 30 minutes more than i rode due to sitting there with an unlocked bike. You should be apologising and giving me a full refund and not overcharging me. So it’s not really a courtesy. After all that I have still been overcharged..

Despite it says you got 30 days of usage of minutes you got only one day to use your minutes otherwise they are gone, what a joke if I buy minutes to ride electric scooter why I got only 24h to use it?? Tires are constantly flat, breaks don’t work, if you don’t find new scooter no worth hustle to use old ones 99% time broken, never going to use it again in my life

Fun to scoot

Fun to scoot, but two unauthorized transactions in Abu Dhabi seem to be my problem 🤷‍♀️.
Customer service is terrible!
I’ll choose another scooter option next time.

The app killed my phone battery before I managed to park

The scooters for themselves and the concept is fine but the thing that destroyed my experience was the Lime app which ate my phone battery like crazy!!! My phone battery was on cca 50% when I started the ride and in 10 min I got the notification for low battery!! I was planning to ride for at least an hour to go through the entire city (Vienna) but then I realized I better start looking for official parking. I couldn’t even get to the destination I wanted when I realized the battery was on 3%. I came to the nearest parking in last moment to end the ride and it was on 1%!!!! What would’ve happened if my battery died before I managed to park and officially end the ride. I would be stuck with active scooter, dead phone and no place to charge my battery. This was stressful and horrible experience…

Lime parking restrictions are ruining the service

I've used limes for years and despite the general issues of missing seats, missing pedals, faulty breaks and flat tyres, I have generally enjoyed using them on my commute. However they have placed extreme restrictions around where I live leading to me not being able to park anywhere close to where I and many other commuters used to up until recently. As such the service fails at a bare minimum when you have to factor an additional 10-15 minute walk onto what was supposed to be faster due to the bike. As such I can't see myself using lime bikes again despite over 1000km cycled. Such a shame.

Very poor experience in Rome Italy

Very poor experience in Rome Italy . Lots of additional charges apply to my bank account which are clearly overpayments and duplicates but Lime customer service saying that it’s a bank issue. App doesn’t work consistently on all bikes as they don’t unlock but yet charges are applied. Hard to trust this service or company again with payment data .

An unmitigated disaster

Lime bikes are an unmitigated disaster in London. The bikes are faulty - brakes fail, pedals go missing and they're dumped all over the pavements, blocking pedestrians and wheelchair users. Worse, Lime enable its customers to behave like clueless moving hazards, constantly speeding, running red lights and nearly mowing down pedestrians. These bikes are not just a nuisance - they are a safety issue. Avoid them at all costs.

Useless App experience

Whilst the Scooter is useful their app is beyond rubbish when using it to navigate.
It's impossible to search for your destination on the app, so you have no idea where to plan to park.
So instead you get to you destination, then find closest parking and head away again.
Come on guys use your brain.

I had a horrible experience on a lime bike while riding down a busy road in London!!!! While peddling beside moving car the left peddle just fell off putting me in a lot of danger as I swerved into the curb. Injuring my foot and back!!!
It could have been a lot worse thank god!!!
No chance of a refund or an apology!!! Thanks Lime

Terrible cyclists

Terrible. Left outside my drive. People who drive them don’t know the Highway Code. I’m A driver and they go past red lights and don’t recognise one way systems. They need to be insured for the safety of pedestrians and car drivers. Why do car drivers need car insurance and cyclists don’t? They’ve almost run me over as a pedestrian or hit me as
A driver. Please find a way to find to police cyclists the way that drivers are policed. We pay so much as motorists but cyclists seem to be exempt. What has happened to to our roads. Motorists pay for roads that cyclists use and don’t respect. Cyclists
Are overtaking at
Speeds of in excess of 20mph
And can drive whilst intoxicated and never brethalysed. Wtf.

Not up to standard

The suspension of my account took place in the absence of any cross-examination and in gross violation of my consumer rights. The operation of the agreement concluded in favour of ATAC subscribers in Rome is opaque. Assistance on this issue has proved to be almost non-existent. I recommend switching to other operators, after so many years I too will change.

Expensive greener alternative

Recently used these for the first time while in Paris. We travelled 26 minutes, around 4.6k. The bikes themselves are ok with no maintenance issues however we had to use alternative navigation in conjunction with the lime app. Parked ok, but then was notified of the 10£ charge for the short journey, this charge simply put me off ever using this service again, too expensive. Sadly similar to many greener alternatives, it ends up costing the consumer more to comply. I wouldn’t use it again but glad to have experienced something new.

Absolute nuisance

Absolute nuisance, universally hated by anyone who lives in London and have to put up with these bikes littering the streets, local councils hopeless and unable to deal with the plague of bikes. People ride them INTO people on the pavement. I am pro hire bike but dockless gives zero incentive to leave the bike responsibly. And to top it off they are enabling petty criminality by allowing free rides because their security locks are easily overcome. Enjoy getting your phone snatched by a twelve year old on a stolen LIME BIKE!

Used them sporadically

Used them sporadically, the new generation of scooters are cool and safer to drive, unluckily most of them have not good brakes so you need to ride them even more carefully, the bikes are ok but some of them makes weird noises and after a sight on the web I discovered is because someone rode them without unlocking them and so the bikes has a little permanent damage, wish there was a better way for them to prevent this theft so the normal and honest users would have a correct and enjoyable experience all the time

Dodgey business practices

I have bought a lime pass for 400 minutes over a month, and I have discovered that they will always round up your ride time. Last two rides were 4.10 and they deducted 5 minutes, then next ride was 9.03 and they deducted 10 minutes…WTF??? Over the 400 minutes I would guess they are stealing between 10-20 minutes of my time, and hence stealing money from their customers. With today’s technology you would expect that they could me more exact with their time keeping? Or at worst, round up if you break 30 second barrier, and round down if you are under the 30 second barrier. Won’t be using this dodgey company again 👎🏼
