Lime sucks their bikes are always broken the app freezes all the time - instead of easing your journey it can fine just makes it more painful
Ouch!! £18 per hour!!!!
Veeery expensive compared to tube or bus or uber with added benefit of potentially being knocked off by a car or a moped. Fun to ride especially at traffic lights as acceleration is good but over long distances the lack of gears and the fact that the engine cuts off at 15mph make it a sluggish offering. Won’t be using again. You had my attention while it lasted Lime. Back to tube/bus/uber
Evil company.
Evil company.
I found a bike parked inappropriately such that it had fallen into my appropriately parked car in the street causing damage to the paintwork.
Line denies any liability and blames unknown third parties for the damage.
They are horrible to deal with and accept no responsibility for their product or their riders’ irresponsible behaviour. Nor will they supply the details of the rider to enable me to pursue an insurance claim. I will be pursuing this matter through my lawyer in principle.
Folks, don’t use Lime.
I had a ride that refused to allow me…
I had a ride that refused to allow me to park, I moved to 5 different locations (Auckland Central) where I have usually parked. It was showing as being well away from all no-park zones. In the end my phone ran flat and I had to leave the scooter. I emailed, they responded and offered a refund of $23 on the $40.08 charge!!!!! Then before they refunded the $23 they increased the charge to $63.08!!!!!!! I am on my 5th or 6th email to them and think I may need to make a claim through the claims tribunal. They should have refunded the whole $40.08 before they top loaded it, certainly I am chasing a full refund now!!!!!
They never clean up their bicycles
Out of all the bike rental companys lime is the worst. They never clean up their bikes, and they just pile up on the Pavement in Copenhagen. The other ones are better at cleaning up after themselves. I wrote to them about the problem but nothing is done about it. I cant believe this way of running a company is even legal
Do not use this company
Do not use this company! They are scammers! You will pick up a bike and have to return it in a ridiculously unsafe area.
Fun n Cool but costly.
i used today for the 1st time good ride n fun but i think its not cheap. Few min ride cost me over 3.40. A bus n taxi are much cheaper than this. Readig the users feedbacks they are complaining abt charges n unfair charges. I am worried i wont get double charged for today few min uses of today.
Lime Bike Personal Property Damage
If a lime bike damages your property, don't expect any accountability. One of their bikes fell over and hit my parked car, and after dragging out the case, they ultimately denied all responsibility. Must be nice to run a business where you cause damage and just say "not our fault" - this is a scam. Avoid this company.
Lime, Give me my refund....
If I could give Lime no stars, I would. In March 2025, I purchased an £8.99 Lime pass, assuming it would resolve my daily payment issues. However, the next day, £20 was taken from my account for Lime. Upon checking my statement the following day, I noticed six additional payments had been withdrawn.
I contacted Lime, and they explained that these charges were legitimate. Despite informing them about the pass, they insisted I would still be charged regardless. I argued that this defeats the purpose of the pass; instead of saving money, I was spending more, especially as the charges began occurring outside the £8.99 pass.
I stopped using the service and cancelled my transaction, but Lime continued to take funds from my account without my permission. After cancelling, I contacted my bank, and the bank informed me that the situation was now under a fraud investigation, freezing my account. That same day, Lime attempted to withdraw another payment—I was furious.
Now, I am out £50. I contacted Lime again, but they informed me, I would not receive any reimbursement as is their policy. After persistently emailing and speaking with several Lime agents, one finally agreed to refund only the £8.99. I am still fighting for a full refund. This type of behaviour from companies like Lime is concerning, as they essentially steal from customers under the guise of legality. I'll continue to request a full refund until this matter is resolved.☹☹☹
Went to rent a scooter for me and my…
Went to rent a scooter for me and my friend to ride down to the fishing spot instead of walking purchased a $15 lime pass ride for 50 minutes of use . It took the money from my app and then told me I didn't have enough sufficient funds in my account so I added another $10 too the lime card or wallet and that didn't work either . I never got to ride the scooters but they charged me $25 then I emailed them about it and they say well we have to put a hold on accounts to make sure the money is verified well that's all good and dandy but you got $25 and I got nothing out of it also got nothing resolved from it after sending an email but an email stating we have to put a hold on accounts to make sure that the money is there and that was it not a good company in my opinion
flytipping of bikes
Lime Bikes drop off bikes all over Charterhouse Square which is private property. They cause significant issues, especially for elderly residents who rely on the railings for support when leaving their building. Numerous complaints are ignored and its impossible to get a response from senior management. Perhaps they don't exist?
These guys should be shut down
These guys should be shut down did a multi ride with the family when we tried to end one bike the system locked up then spent the next 10 minutes calling them to get the ride terminated. So now paying for 2 bikes and not actually riding. Same thing happened again when we tried to stop 2 more bikes from the group ride. Finally decided to terminate all riders we pulled up to the allotted parking bays and tried to terminate for the app today there were too many bike and we had ti find another parking bays, we went to the next area and terminated the ride finally successfully only to receive an email later on saying it was not left in a designated area and penalty would be given next time. There will not be a next time they are a rip off
What a pointless palaver..
What a palaver... They charge you a king's ransom for a bike which weighs as much as a supertanker, and rides like a lemon... and then only 1 in 5 of these darned things even work. I just wasted 10 mins trying to "hire" 4 different bikes on my way back to the office today. Gave up and walked instead... just pathetic. I tried their "App" for help - which did nothing other than waste another 5-10 mins. These people don't seem to care...
Always having to report dump bikes but…
Always having to report dump bikes but it takes them absolutely ages to do anything the current one dumped in a lake is now been in there 10 days no ones retrieve it
Absolutely useless as a company
You should not be forced to move a bike…
You should not be forced to move a bike into a 'parking area' if it is broken before you rent it. All I did is move their bike and I was late to work.
Could be very costly …
Whilst the idea is great there is a fundamental flaw that can be very costly to the user. As what happened to me, app crashed and decided not to take the ride, only to find that the bike was still live and still allocated to me as It was rode across Rome by some very lucky rider. The problem thereon is their customer service that takes a week to respond with virtually no recognition of the problem.
Parking is biggest issue
It keeps getting worse every day. What’s the point of using the bike if I can’t park near the station? The designated parking is a 10-minute walk away—completely defeats the purpose. After using it daily for over a year, I’ve decided to stop. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It’s meant to be convenient, not make you walk 10 minutes just to park. Total waste of money.
Great e scooters around Gamla Stan, Stockholm 🇸🇪
Used lime to hire e scooters in and around Gamla Stan, Stockholm. Worked well. Also tried bolt - but the lime scooters could go over a larger area without the limited geofence.
Quite deceptive and doesn’t correctly…
Quite deceptive and doesn’t correctly explain price before riding. Was surprised by the charge and conditions of where I can end my ride?… nice bike but DO NOT recommend at all due to what seems to use quite unethical Buisness practice to increase profit margins. If they explain conditions before making it easy for me to sign up and spend money it would be positive. But never again hopefully
