I have purchased a bourbon gift set on April 3rd. 10 days no news. Tried to call them back, no luck. emailed them several times, no luck. Then I decided to look at the reviews on line, and the ugly truth comes forward. It is a complete scam company. There are thousands of people had bad experiences like myself. I have disputed the charges. Please do your research before you make a purchase if you had not used the company before.. I learned my lesson.

I placed and paid for an order with this business and after 7 days I hadn’t received a shipment tracking or anything. I tried to contact them through phone 3 times with success and wrote 2 emails which they didn’t respond. Therefore, I put a dispute with my credit card for the charge. 5 days later, I finally received the product in a box full or trash paper and the sill on the bottle was open. Nevertheless I reached out to the credit department and removed the dispute on the charge. This morning I get the first communication from this seller threatening me that if I don’t pay right away they will “escalate” to their legal department. I will never purchase from this business again. The customer experience was horrible and the product came open.

This company is the worst on line retailer i have ever dealt with. They don’t ship your order for weeks, they don’t provide shipping info, they short ship items with no explanation. When you call to get some idea of what is going on they tell you to be patient after you have sent 3 emails with no response. I will never order from them again and would advise others to do the same.

You can tell they actually care about what they’re shipping. My bourbon came wrapped like a Fabergé egg—foam, padding, and not a single scratch. Fast shipping, solid tracking updates, and smooth pour once it arrived.

This is 100% a scam. I purchased a bottle in December 2024 and still have not received it. I’ve tried multiple times to call their support line which is basically offline. Their chat feature on the website never responds. I never write reviews, but If I could give this negative stars I would. Please don’t purchase from Liquor Stars. Save your money.

bullshit and fake. This is a scumbag company that’s a pure scam. Unfortunately, you can’t give them zero stars. STAY AWAY or get fleeced.

First of all, this site seems not not actually have the items in stock. It seems they try to source the products after an order is placed, and this process appears to be inconsistent. From my experience, shipping takes at least two weeks after purchase—even that is considered fast. For the high-end whiskies I usually purchased (mostly in the $800–900 range, occasionally over $200), it often took more than four weeks to receive the items.

Another major issue is the complete lack of transparency after the purchase. Emails go unanswered, and they never pick up the phone. I was only able to get in touch with someone related to the site via text through the number ‪(619) 757-7571‬. However, this person never disclosed their name or role, yet occasionally sent me “good offers” for high-end whiskies and negotiated prices—all only via text. Calls were never answered, and texts often went ignored for days, then suddenly I'd receive a response out of the blue. There was no consistency or transparency in the process.

They frequently say things like “it’ll ship tomorrow” or “it’ll go out Friday,” but not once did they meet those timelines. Their messages constantly changed, and the status updates rarely matched reality. In one case, they even generated a tracking number, but the actual shipment didn’t go out until 2–3 weeks later.

Packaging is also highly unprofessional. They use leftover scrap paper or what looks like recycled trash as cushioning material. Thankfully, the whisky arrived intact, but still—it was far from professional.

In some cases, the item delivered wasn't even what I ordered. That led to additional hassle with refunds and back-and-forth disputes.

In conclusion: this is not a scam site in the sense that they never deliver, but it was one of the worst post-purchase experiences I’ve had. The process is unclear, the timeline unpredictable, and the customer service practically nonexistent. No matter how low their prices are, I personally will never order from them again. There are plenty of other sellers that may charge a bit more, but offer far better service and reliability.

If you're someone who cares only about low prices and doesn't mind waiting an uncertain amount of time with minimal communication, then this site might suit you. But if you expect transparency, responsive support, and to receive your item within two weeks, I would not recommend here.

Ordered two bottles of rare bourbon. Waited for weeks. Slow and vague responses. Told me it was shipped but all they ever did was create a UPS label. Classic con — they must have sold my bottles to someone else for more money. (Their website still lists those bottles, but at a much higher price.). Very squirrelly operation.

It’s been close to a month and my bottle was personally engraved. It’s starting to worry me!! I hope this isn’t a scam.

Best Bourbon selection and price on the web. Ordered some very rare bourbon for my retirement and liquor stars came through Slight delay getting all 3 bottles but received all of them within two weeks from order date.

on 28 feb ordered a bottle of macallan sherry cask single malt scotch whiskey. after 4 days they sent my order to shipping dept. thhey charged me $12.75 for insurance and $42.00+ for shipping. to make matters worse the sent me double oak instead of sherry cask. i deal with blackwells who charged me $.98 for insurance and $28 for shipping 5 bottles. i would go to AA before i would buy anything from this outfit. horrible service. stay away from them

Bought 2 bottles of the same bourbon from these guys and when it finally got delivered 5 weeks later, I only got one bottle. I tried to call them multiple times, but their phone doesn't work. Emailed and never heard back from them. It's been weeks now. Most likely lost my $280. If you're going to order liquor online, use the companies that are reputable even if they don't have it in stock, it's worth waiting than trying someone new and have a headache. Lesson learned. Never ordering from these guys again.

I ordered 6 bottles of bourbon on their website January 31st. Received Blanton's green label, black label, straight from the barrel, and Weller antique February 15th. Sent a chat message 02/15 asking for an update on when the remaining items would ship and was told my items would be shipped 02/18. Looked at my account 02/21 and still no tracking #. Checked their website and the Blanton's red label and Weller full proof show available. Sent e-mail through their website and received a response the two bottles they never shipped would be refunded. I was hoping I had found a trustworthy and reliable company to purchase from. Unfortunately, they are only partially reliable, and I will see if they refund my money to determine if they are partially trustworthy.

Takes a long time to receive orders I have bought a lot from them They were extremely rude the last time I spoke with them when I mentioned their prices were higher on some items , I was rudely told they would remove me from the sales list because they don’t need people that look for 20 dollar discounts. I have purchased 3 bottles of pappy van winkle from them as well as over 2000 dollars of bourbon. Can’t believe how they acted

Alright, I’ll admit it—I’m a sucker for a well-aged rum, and Liquor Stars just made my life easier. Found a bottle I hadn’t seen since a trip to Barbados, and damn, it took me right back. Caramel, spice, and the smoothest finish you can ask for. This is grown-man drinking at its finest.

This place is a complete scam. Stay away. Had to open a dispute case with my credit card company. Took my money and never shipped anything.

I have every reason to believe this website is fraudulent. Their site says they ship within a day but when I went to inquire I ended up in an argument with some jack*** and disputing the charge. Don't waste your time or money here.
