Living DNA has exemplary customer service! I was onboarding and ran into a glitch. Clare in customer service promptly and consistently staying touch with me through the process of working through the issue. Their engineering and science teams collaborate efficiently behind the scenes with customer service with a clear focus on the customer. Great job, Living DNA!

Spoke to Clare with a few questions regarding my dna sample. She was extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. Went into great depth to explain things to me. I was left entirely satisfied with the answers.
Clare is a credit to the company.

What made my experience great was a customer service rep named Clare. From the beginning, her responses were timely, very detailed, and helpful. VIP service for sure. I wish more companies I deal with had their own version of Clare.

I am unable to print a pdf copy of my Ancestry results. When I try and print out the results from the screen, I cannot dp so.
I'm appalled that I'm supposed to pay USD10.00 to do so!
I've seen the response of Living DNA. However, I'm still unable to locate a link in my account dashboard where I can print out my results without having to purchase 'a book' (for USD 10.00) that contains the results.
I've noted another response from Living DNA today (19 May 2025). My response is as follows: It is indeed egregious in this age of customer-centred service that I should have to take a screenshot to print results. Presumably, I will have to crop the image and add dates. The end result can hardly be aesthetically pleasing. It is even more surprising that I am also referred to an article on how I should first email a ‘shared-results’ format to myself so I may them print them.
I can download any of my personal utility bills or bank statements in pdf format by clicking a link on the company websites. In contrast, Living DNA is purposefully making it difficult for its customers to straightforwardly print their results. Instead, it is pushing them to pay USD 10.00 for a printed copy of the results. It is poor business practice.

I had problems with the couriers ,but the support staff were just wonderful. Every time helpful, understanding and complaisant

Info was fascinating. Have taken two other DNA tests, and the results here went further back. Timetable for receiving results was spot on. Staff (Clare) was helpful, responsive... One issue, make it a bit clearer that women only receive maternal results. I read the material, but that didn't register to me. Suggest calling that out.

I wish I could give fewer stars.
I uploaded my biological birth daughter’s DNA to both Living DNA and GEDmatch. GEDmatch correctly showed we share 3,507 cM, but Living DNA reported only 2,110 cM and wrongly labelled our relationship as first cousins. Needless to say, I contacted them — but trying to raise any concerns with Living DNA is a nightmare.
The person answering the phone isn’t able to help with DNA queries, and there’s no option to speak directly with a genealogist. Instead, you’re forced to go back and forth through a painfully slow and unhelpful email system.
They also gave incorrect haplogroup predictions for both me and my sibling. I only received three matches, and the entire experience was lacklustre, vague, and ultimately inaccurate.
It was an absolute waste of time and money. I strongly advise against using this company. If you don’t believe me, check YouTube — you’ll notice that DNA experts rarely, if ever, mention Living DNA. They’re clearly behind other testing companies, and what’s worse, once you have your raw DNA, most other platforms won’t let you upload it for updates. Why? Who knows.
All in all, I regret using this service and have no doubt others feel the same.

I had a great experience thru customer service. Clare was brilliant in the help she provided. My sample got lost in the post office on the way to Denmark. I wrote to CS and Clare responded swiftly, providing all the necessary details and solutions to my issue. I received a new kit and was able to send out the new sample which arrived today in Denmark. Thank you very much for all your help Clare!

I sought to get a recent ancestry composition breakdown by uploading a raw DNA file, that both AncestryDNA and 23AndMe don't provide for people of my ancestry.
Even though LivingDNA confused other components for the Levant and wrongly classified Cypress as part of Europe in my case (two things it's always done) and inflated my eastern European score, I managed thanks to IllustrativeDNA's version of my recent ancestry results to sift through these misreadings and get to the actual composition breakdown.
These errors are fairly tame by comparison to ADNTRO's algorithm, which is awful.
