Sizing chart is wrong, their recommendation for fit is wrong. If buying in the US, blow by this popsicle stand. They get you coming and going with the shipping. They ship from NYC, but you pay for shipping back to the UK. Customer service shockingly bad. Hard pass!

Very quick delivery and the customer support team were very responsive when I had a question.

I’ve been buying Loake shoes since 2016, but the quality and customer service have clearly gone downhill. I received a pair of loafers with obvious defects straight out of the box, yet customer service dismissed them as “artisan variation” rather than acknowledging the faults for what they were.

What made it worse was the handling of the complaint. I explained multiple times that I was working and leaving the country within days, but this was ignored entirely. The response was just a repeated “send them back”, with no attempt to actually resolve the issue. They also refused to accept clear photo and video evidence, which felt more like an effort to avoid responsibility than help a long-standing customer.

The whole exchange came across as scripted and impersonal, almost certainly AI-generated replies copied and pasted repeatedly. It’s disappointing to see a brand that once had a strong reputation now appearing more concerned with denying issues and pushing out substandard products. I genuinely wish review sites allowed photo uploads because the defects and responses speak for themselves.

I’ve always had comfortable well made shoes from Loakes, this latest pair don’t disappoint.
These are the first pair of shoes I have bought on line but the process was ease and I will happily do it again.

Lovely shoe, but your size 9 UK appears a bit bigger than normal. Maybe I should use your size 8.5 as I note most brands do not have 8.5 Great quality, lovely really. Thank you.

The delivery was exceptional

Ordered a full heel and sole replacement, process was easy to do online.
Dropped shoes at the post office with tracking updates, it did take a few days from the shoes been delivered to receiving confirmation the replacement sole would be done and the expected return date to be sent.
Advised the return date was 6 full weeks from when the shoes were received, it does say allow for 30 working days not 30 days.

Fast forward 2.5 weeks later shoes have been resoled and returned all in just over 3.5 weeks from first starting the process.

Happy with the quality, returned just like new.

Excellent Service and products

Terrible product. I Sent a pair of defective shoes back where the dye had run all over the white rubber sole on their first outing, transferred onto my cream carpet in my car, my foot, my trousers, my socks. Not only did they lose their dye they cut my feet to pieces. Single handed the worst quality pair of shoes I've ever owned, the Chinese copies from the market are better quality.

When I sent them back I had to wait two weeks for an "inspection" then when I finally did receive an email they told me that the dye had not transferred onto the white sole (It did pictures to prove) and that the dye used is breathable and can sometimes spread and is not "locked in" (So what one is it? they run or they don't run) so basically garbage quality and they will run in the rain and when they do its not their problem. I advise anyone to not spend their money on these garbage trainers, and I mean garbage.

If I could give a -5 stars I would. Loake was once a decent brand, not anymore. Just complete and utter rubbish passed off as quality. What happened to this brand? Absolutely the worst ran business I've ever come across.
