Was shown three properties by Francesca, who very kindly drove us to the second and third locations. Despite the heavy rain we had found ourselves caught in, she was incredibly friendly and helpful.

The experience me and my friends had with this company, and Josh specifically were great, he was extremely nice, and was great at giving us all the information about each house we got taken to. They also helped with finding houses for us to look at, and were extremely kind and helpful the entire way through.

Flats are constantly being broken in to and tenants threatened, and Loc8me won’t even install a proper lock on the front door, let alone CCTV or burglar alarms! What a joke. Won’t even meet with us to discuss the issues property, been going on for 6 months.

Loc8me refused to respond to requests to install cctv, better locks, and burglar alarms from tenants when their flats were constantly being broken into. Men have got in and threatened sexual violence against tenants. Loc8me dismiss concerns and did nothing. And absolute disgrace. Don’t rent from them. They don’t care about tenant safety.

Tenants living in fear due to loc8me’s refusal to provide safe living. All they’re asking for is CCTV, locks on their doors and not having to worry about sexual assault from strangers due to easy access to the building. They’ve ignored tenants simple asks putting them all at risk whilst taking thousands in rent off them. Shame!!

My daughter moved into a property that has all male tenants without being told of this, there also Asian and have little spoken English, which made me as a parent uncomfortable however since September there has been multiple instances which have been reported to loc8me but only general conversations have been had with the tenants and nothing has changed
Most recently my daughter came to me in a state as she caught on of the naked tenants stood outside her bathroom when showering and then found him entering her private bathroom, for what reason???? There has been issues of cleanliness and more important inappropriate behaviour from the male tenants ranging from not licking front door, bringing back groups of upto 10 friends late at night and staying over making noise into early hours and to the point Abbie not feeling safe in the shared house inappropriate comments being made to her from the tenants, I have asked for her to be released from her tenancy for her safety and I have explained I will be involving the police and asked that she speak with the landlord to offer him half the rent until end of august and a face to face interview but no urgency at all from the company they just do not seem to be bothered whilst there getting money
I am appalled that my daughter is at risk and her mental health and studies are now being affected
Do not go with this company and any other company I would as that there open and clear about who your daughter will be sharing with, as they told me that they don’t need to tell them who is sharing accommodation but no locks on doors too causes big issues relating to safety

Didn't have a house for half a year. I am a student and they told us that the house would be ready for September. However, when the time came they delayed it by about two weeks. The house kept getting delayed. It wasn't ready until around December time. They also told us that we would be given alternate accommodation if the house wasn't ready. However, they pulled out on that as well. This meant we were sleeping on sofas for the first term of uni.

Terrible company. Signed last year, Constantly reported issues and they never took any of them seriously. It wasn’t till I went in person that there would be progress. They were hackling and leaving threatening voicemails towards the end of my stay.
They were very prompt when they wanted their money, but never cared for issues or to fix anything, this is a recurring theme in Loughborough, with other students not getting any help from them whatsoever. It’s bad because they have such a grip over Loughboroughs market, yet they don’t fix anything or resolve issues, this is a safety concern at this point, and they know what they’re doing laughing at students requests, knowing they wouldn’t like their kids to be treated like this.

I have witnessed on many occasions that Lock8me staff knock on tenants’ doors without announcing themselves as “Lock8me,” and then slam the doors without showing respect to other tenants. Additionally, the maintenance staff knock and immediately unlocks and opens the door without waiting to see whether someone is at home. This behaviour is extremely disrespectful.
The cleaner comes to this building only once a month and does nothing more than superficial vacuuming. The main entrance door and the windows have never been cleaned for many years. This is because the landlord does not want to pay for proper cleaning services. In that case, the cleaner should not come at all, rather than carrying out such an unprofessional job.
Two weeks before Christmas, my neighbour reported a suspected drug substance found in the middle of the corridor, along with a large amount of white vomit. The smell lasted for two weeks and was unbearable. Since then, the cleaner has never cleaned the drug stain from the corridor.
Furthermore, people who do not live in this building continuously receive mail in their names and stay in the building illegally for months or even years. We asked to be informed whether these unfamiliar individuals are part of the tenancy to avoid uncomfortable situations and to protect our safety, but Lock8me never responded. As we have experienced in the past, one individual lived in this building for 1.5 years without paying rent and lost the property keys.
Reporting maintenance issues is useless, as the process constantly changes and we are repeatedly misled, sometimes told to report via the app, other times through the website, or both. Any questions we have must be investigated by ourselves because the team is incapable of communicating clearly and efficiently.
The Lock8me branch in Loughborough is useless, unreliable, and unethical. The contract does not include all relevant information, and they do not follow their own policies or procedures. 0 star

Loc8me has recently merged with our current housing agency and our first experience with them was disappointing. Me and my housemates (not all) were added to a WhatsApp group chat where primary communications took place which I find to be unprofessional and untrustworthy. We had issues with dates on our tenancy agreement that we flagged on the 9th of December and didn't get any assistance until the 8th of January after having to call to chase them up. It then took another 4 days of calling everyday to finally get the issue resolved. We are unable to pay our rent through the app and they insist we use details sent through WhatsApp. Again I find this unprofessional and untrustworthy especially with such a large sum of money, but even after calling again to express our concerns nothing was resolved.

they are bloody useless, our house is awful in bath - the kitchen flooded 3 times since moving in, our garage is unusable, our garden is unusable, the lights in the top room didn’t work for 6 months and they do nothing about it. DO NOT GO WITH LOC8ME FOR STUDENT HOUSING!!!!
