Locauto staff have been very helpful and supportive but the booked car was not available and I had to wait more than 4 hours until I received the vehicle.
Also, despite I paid an expensive insurance, I had to pay an extra one to protect the car.

No long waiting time and complicated procedures. The car was already filled up and very near by the airport.

Giving the car back was super easy and fast.
Even as a young driver there was no problem at all.

Easy to book and nice staff
We booked through booking.com and the instructions to get to the place were good, we found it easily. The car was almost new, clean and comfortable. To avoid any problems after renting the car we opted to buy the "no worries" insurance, which was good but almost the price of the full renting. Returning the car was also super easy

Great experience! I ordered a Polo, but I was given a brand-new Cupra instead. What a fantastic car! I had no issues at all during my 7-day rental. It was a great car to use and had excellent fuel efficiency.

There were a few difficulties at the beginning, but everything was sorted out and went smoothly. The staff gave us full support throughout. They spoke only a little English, but communication was manageable and they were very helpful.

I took videos of the car before collecting it and again when returning it, just to make sure there would be no issues regarding the car's condition. However, during the handover, the staff were very relaxed and did not make an issue of anything. Thankfully, nothing happened during my rental either.

Overall, I received amazing support from the staff and had a fantastic experience with this company. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to rent a car.

Very easy, friendly team and good car

We rented a car from Locauto at the airport in Sardinia for 5 days.

The main positive point is the price: Locauto was cheaper than Hertz and Europcar for the same type of vehicle.

However, a few things surprised us. The fuel tank option was automatically added to our rental. Fortunately, we had a lot of kilometres to drive, so we were able to make good use of it.

Another negative point is the insurance, which is extremely expensive. We paid a total of €590 for 5 days for a Golf 8, which I find quite excessive.

Apart from that, we had no particular issues with the car or the service. Overall, a decent experience, but be careful with the additional options, especially the insurance, as they can quickly increase the total cost.

We got a small upgrade for the car and were very happy. The pick up and drop off was fast and everyone was friendly.

This is completely unacceptable!

I have been waiting since Monday, August 3rd, for a refund of more than €900 that was confirmed to me by Locauto over the phone.

Almost two weeks later, I have received no refund and no information at all about the process.

I have sent several emails and received no reply. I have also called the call center several times, but they simply tell me that they are only a reservation center and cannot give me any information about the refund.

So who can give me an answer?

It is unacceptable for a company to keep more than €900 of a customer’s money, confirm that it will be refunded, and then simply stop communicating.

I am only asking for what was already confirmed to me: my refund and clear information about when I will receive it.

Never again! We rented a car from Locauto Calgiari Aeropuerto.
Before we rented the car we asked the lady that made us the offer twice if its ok if we bring back the car at 8 pm without paying more and she said its no problem.
She didn't show us at all what is in the rental agreement, only the field where to sign.
When bringing back the car, she said we are late and should have bring it back at 5pm and that is what it says in the rental agreement and now we have to pay 84 € extra because we brought back the car late even though she ensured us when picking up the car that we could bring it back at 5 pm.
What frustrates me the most that we didn't get to see at all what the rental agreement said, only where we should sign and then got it send a few hours later by email when its already signed and also that she made false claims when we asked if its ok to bring back later and then writes something else in the rental agreement. Will never use Locauto ever again and feel like they did that on purpose to charge us more.
