Mixed experience renting a Renault Clio
We were able to rent (and return) the car pretty easily, but once we drove off, we realized that the manual in the glove compartment was in Italian and the electronic display was in German. It would have been helpful to have the company ask us what language we needed. We noticed we had a low tire warning very shortly after we rented the car, and we paid to have our tires filled but the low tire warning light didn't go off. We learned when we returned the car that you have to manually reset the system to turn off the light. We also had audible and display warnings in German, which we never understood. I tried to change the language during our week with the car, even watching a YouTube video, but couldn't do it. When we returned the car, we mentioned the language issue to the employee and he tried to change it. We left before he completed it, but it was clear that it wasn't simple.

Insurance marketing
Insurance was booked on website. However I was very aggressively pushed for additional insurance at the counter despite having already purchasing. This should be properly presented from original booking and not pushed at last moment. It made getting the rental car slower and also seemed to be a "dishonest" practice. I will not book with this provider again.

We would like to clarify that insurance or coverage products purchased through third-party brokers are managed directly by those partners, and Locauto does not have direct visibility of those external coverage terms in our system.
Our counter staff is trained to clearly explain what is included in the rental agreement and present our optional coverages so that customers can make an informed decision. However, adding any additional services is always completely optional, and the choice remains entirely yours. We are truly sorry if this interaction felt aggressive or pushy, as this is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide.

I was charged for theft and accident…
I was charged for theft and accident coverage when I made it clear that I had that coverage through my credit card. Also, the service fee for 23 euro worth of gas was outrageous!
