Sorry to say that this is horrible

Sorry to say that this is horrible! Service from company was excellent no complaints there and I so wanted to love it but I don’t. I’ve tried it as a pizza base and wrap and it tastes like polystyrene! Save yourself the cost and use a ww wrap instead. I was hoping it was like a dough and quite honestly it’s just a thin polystyrene round of nothing. Gutted

Smells toxic & catches fire!!

Smells toxic.
Conpany cares more about putting the nutritional values on the packaging in big writing on a white background, than it does about the safety information!!

Teeny tiny caution which visually impaired would not be able to read, stating don’t put in toaster as it burns.

This warning needs to be in a bigger font, on a white background and corrected to say it will catch fire.

Disgusted by this company who care more about promoting the low calorie, low carb than protecting people from burning their homes down.

Great low calorie alternative

I made a pizza with the lo-dough as I’m on a calorie counting diet and really wanted pizza. I think it’s a great low calorie option. Is it the same as a full fat pizza? No, but it does a great job as a low calorie option. I thought the texture and taste were both good and had no issues with delivery.

Quick delivery and a reasonable product. It doesn’t taste of anything and is a similar texture to padded cardboard but is an inoffensive base for other flavours and very low calorie. My only real gripe is the smell. When you open the packet there is an off putting chemical smell which I find offputting. However, it’s a versatile product and I’m pleased enough.

A low-carber’s dream!

I searched online for a ready made pizza base and discovered lo-dough bases on Amazon. I bought I single pack of 2 bases to try and promptly ordered 8 more bases after being impressed by the first pack.

Having quickly used those 8 bases I’ve just ordered directly on lo-dough’s website and have subscribed to receive 24 bases at regular intervals.

The bases themselves are somewhat like a tortilla wrap only without the stretch or the taste. The bases themselves are basically tasteless, but it’s what you can do with them which makes them special to anyone on a low carb diet.

Personally for me, if a product contains more than 5g carbs I generally don’t touch it, so at just over 2g carbs per base, these are perfect. I’ve enjoyed pizzas, chicken tikka and minted yoghurt wraps, and chicken fajitas. I’ve missed out on these foods for the last 2 years being on a keto diet, but not anymore since finding lo-dough.

They are expensive, but worth it to me. With the bases being thin, I generally use both bases at mealtimes and have two pizzas, wraps, fajita wraps etc. In order to feel full up. Having subscribed, it has brought the cost down quite a lot.

I recommend adding plenty of seasoning, since as mentioned, the bases themselves are quite tasteless. Anybody complaining that they don’t taste of anything obviously hasn’t done this.

I’m looking forward to my next batch arriving where I plan to make a coronation chicken sandwich of sorts with shredded lettuce. Can’t wait for that.

The bases are loaded with fibre which is definitely something I don’t usually get enough of, so that’s another bonus.

Highly recommended unless you’re bread eater anyway, in which case why are you even looking here?

A great addition to a low carb diet for diabetes

As a diabetic I have found it hard work to sustain a very low carb diet, so it’s great to find a business in the UK stepping out in this area. Like many have said, the “pizza” bases are nothing like the real thing, but I fry them in a small amount of butter to crisp them up, and the texture is fine, and it’s a convenient way to have pizza, as many keto pizza recipes are hard work! I find the brownies are fine, and you can always add a
low carb ganache to make them more of a treat. Have recently just tried the cake bars, and am really impressed with the quality, texture and taste. The only downside of their products is the price, but hopefully as time goes on and the business grows they will find ways to address this.

The product itself is fine, the price is not

The product itself is fine - as long as you don’t expect it to taste like the real deal - this is a diet food after all! My only gripe is the price, this is way too expensive for the average consumer to buy regularly. The ingredients themselves are not expensive so you guys really need to review your production process or something to cut costs down - it’s not sustainable for you or for consumers.

Pizza heaven

Love this product. I've just made a ham and mushroom pizza and it was amazing and so low carb too. The brownies were really nice too. Lovely when still warm from the oven.

I am puzzled by the negatives here

I am puzzled by the negatives here. Someone even said you are better off buying Betty Crocker :/
if you can eat normal non-diet food, why buy diet food and complain it's not as great as non-diet food?

I find putting the pizza base in the oven for a few minutes better than dry frying to make the base crispy. I cannot taste the base as my toppings are where the flavour comes from, the same as when I made homemade pizza with thin bases. I am going to try making a pie crust next time. I did wonder why they only made three products but I then joined the FB group and also looked in the site recipes and see how versatile each product is. Facebook group is very friendly and people are amazing with the different recipes they come up with to use the products for.

I use the brownie mixture as a cheesecake base I've not tried many of the recipes yet but will be experimenting. Love the chicken coating as eat a lot of chicken for my evening snacks

I want to give a 10+ star rating for their customers' services. I made a mistake changing my subscription without realising. When they emailed to say my order was about to be despatched and the cost was £166 rather than the £20 I thought I had ordered I panicked and emailed them and almost as soon as it sent they rang me and sorted it out instantly no problems, they reordered and sent out what I had thought I ordered. How amazing is that?
Also, you are always sent emails to say your subscription is close to time, so you can go change your order amount, or delivery or swap one item for another. I find that very useful.

Bland :(

The delivery was fast and the service was great, my order came with a handy little recipe book and email with recipe ideas too. But the product is sadly rubbish. I tried it in the oven and the frying pan to see if there was a difference but it was so bland and inedible. I’m disappointed because I’ve seen so many positive reviews. Can I also point out I’ve been on slimming world for a few months now, I really wanted to love this. I bought 8 of the bases too hoping for the best. I’ll stick with wraps to make a low cal pizza!

Great customer service and the base does the job!

Ordered the original lodough, but the brownies arrived. Simply emailed and they got back to me really quickly and sent a new one out straight away. To those who are comparing it to a dominoes base, I think you’re kidding yourselves, but this definitely does the job and is so so worth it for the savings in calories! Will be ordering again!

Amazing product especially as I'm doing a keto diet! Great replacement for bread. Made a pizza & I noticed no difference to a "normal" base (personally like a thin base pizza) even my better half loved it!! Win win! Very fast delivery & worth the the money!

Great diet product - Lo-Dough bases

I’m on a very low calorie and low carb diet and the Lo-Dough bases are a total lifesaver!
Sad to see so many moaning about the taste / consistency, as if you are on a diet these are only 39 calories and low carb!

They give you a pizza base, a quiche base, a pasty pastry alternative, a wrap, the list goes on and on and they have a website full of helpful recipes to guide or inspire you.

Let’s face it here, dieting is about compromise or simply doing without, does a diet cola taste as good as the full sugar alternative? Or does low fat typically taste as good as full fat? No it doesn’t! But this product allows me to have all of the things I mention above and keep to my calories and carbs low. Yes, it’s never going to be the tastiest pizza base, but before I found Lo-Dough bases pizza was a total no no for me, I just couldn’t have it. So now I cram my pizza with lots of yummy toppings and the Lo-Dough base just lets me think I still have a pizza. Same with a wrap, a quiche and a pasty, it’s not about the Lo-Dough flavour, but the fillings or toppings and being able to have low calorie / low carb replacements for something normal. The bases are a bit bland / tasteless but I feel that many are missing the point here, as they allow me to feel more normal, a little less left out and not feel that I am missing out so much whilst losing weight on my diet, which has made it far more tolerable. I have 1 pretty much each day and sometimes 2.

Two issues prevent me giving 5 stars, firstly they are expensive, but this can be helped by taking the subscriber option and getting a decent discount. Secondly I find that perhaps 50% of my purchases stick to the wax paper lining and tear off a piece of the base when I try to peel it free and that simply annoys the hell out of me and doesn’t help if I am trying to make a pasty.

Remember folks, dieting is about compromise or doing without and if you want your cake and eat it, then like me, that‘s probably one of the reasons you are looking at this product in the first place.

Well done Lo-Dough, you make my diet more tolerable and far less miserable or hard than it was before I found you.

Excellent for pizza

Excellent for pizza bases if you follow their advice, very good for French toast (you need more eggs than for normal bread).

It isn’t going to replace a real pizza base like for like, it’s just not but for me it’s good enough.

I wish it was available in shops.
