I ordered Lola’s Carrot Cake (first…
I ordered Lola’s Carrot Cake (first time for this cake so I was worried I wouldn't like it) and was really pleased with it. The cake was absolutely delicious, with a lovely moist carrot sponge (not overpowering), walnuts (did not mind those) and cream cheese icing that wasn’t overly sweet. It was also cheaper and artificial colour free compared to competitors when I was searching for a carrot cake.
It arrived in Lola’s 20th anniversary packaging, which was a really nice touch and made the cake feel even more special.
One small thing I noticed was that the usual blue tab wasn’t tucked underneath the cake board to make it easy to pull the cake out. It wasn’t a problem at all, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
The cake was delivered to the Bexleyheath cake locker earlier than expected, which was actually really convenient as it meant I could collect it sooner than planned. The locker itself was easy to find on the ground floor.
Overall, a delicious cake, nicely presented and a very convenient collection experience. I’d definitely try ordering something else different (apart from my usual red velvet order) from Lola’s again!

Was left underwhelmed
Tastes different somehow. Not sure if ingredients have changed but I brought a mixed 6 pack cupcake box and was left quite underwhelmed :( this is not my first rodeo either I have been a customer of Lola’s cupcakes since 2018 and this is the first time I’ve had a bad experience.
