Also he is very patient. Longbridge has a process that is easy to understand and is tailored for each client's situation. I will definitely recommend them to anyone interested in an HECM.

Shannon Woods made my experience fantastic. She is the best Reverse Mortgage Consultant! She was extremely knowledgeable, patient, personable, trustworthy, warm, simply put she was all the things I needed her to be. I think society in general has made people leery of Reverse Mortgages, but there is absolutely no reason to be. This is especially true when you’re working with someone like Shannon. I happened to read my monthly statement from LONGBRIDGE (reasons to keep snail mail) and saw that I had the option to refinance my reverse mortgage. I was in touch immediately with Jason and I can’t say enough good things about him. He is the consummate professional. He was extremely responsive and I had complete trust in him. Process was simple and easy to follow

I want to disclose my experience of corrupt activity with Longbridge Financial LLC to help protect other seniors from similar mistreatment.
This Reverse Mortgage company has made my life pure hell. They reel you in and then convert to a gestapo type of mentality.
They prey on seniors that are in a financial crisis and then set you up to fail. This seems intentionally structured for quick turnovers to recover investments before targeting another potential victim.
They conduct annual inspections and require certain improvements; failure to comply will result in your loan being placed into a default status and then ultimately foreclosure.
My loan was moved into default from not converting my garage doors from French doors to tin doors. The appraiser made a grave error and Longbridge Financial refused to listen to the fact that this detached garage was under a grandfather clause.
I contacted the company numerous times, even writing to the CEO, and each response took approximately 40 days, and time after time received the same reply that indicated my original agreement would remain in effect. They had no desire to rectify this matter.
This repeated response showed their sole focus was foreclosure.
In fact, they continued to worsen the demands on me; to the point where I eagerly sought an avenue to settle my loan with them.
In addition, this company makes it extremely difficult to speak to a representative. The calls are directed to a call center out of the USA and screened. Most of the time you can barely understand the strong accent of the individual that you’re speaking to. This undoubtedly leads to frustration which is more than likely designed to prevent customers from calling with issues!
The bottom line is that senior citizens are often targeted, with the assumption that most seniors will not pursue any formal complaints or disputes. This is why I felt compelled to expose this company’s true nature.

Scott, who was the one I worked with, was absolutely terrific. However the underwriting department seemed to ask for additional information one item at a time, thereby lengthening the process.

Lauren was excellent. She massaged me through a process which I thought was difficult at times.
