Lenny was prompt and efficient! He was immediate with every phone call and email. Literally, I would seek out this type of customer service for my own business. You do not find this kind of help. It is very difficult to find someone that is this efficient in every aspect. Thanks to you Lenny for your outstanding service!

Worst customer service STAY AWAY

This has truly been the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. I would never in a million years recommend this company. In fact I will go out of my way to make sure no one I know ever uses this site. I have been on the phone since 3:30 today and it is currently 10:30. I have been asking for a supervisor to speak with for the last two hours. I have been placed on hold and transferred to people I’ve already spoke with. I have been laughed at twice. I have been told that there was no supervisor and that the worker owned the company. I was told by one worker that the supervisors name was XYZ. I have been told they could make up any name to tell me. Oscar was the ring leader. But I have plenty of names and times I spoke with each person. I’m infuriated. All of this because my husband who is deployed had to change a date for me to see him over seas. This is ridiculous!

BRUTAL!!!!!!!!

BRUTAL!!!!!!!!

First of all I thought I was speaking to an air Canada rep and was asking questions about companion flights ( we booked a fight for my father-in-law to pick up our son and fly right back, and air Canada and west jet both offer special rates for this service) and the person I was speaking with led me to believe I was speaking to a air Canada rep and never explained this was a different company. I still have no idea how I even ended up calling your number?!!?! So the fact that I was misled and not even told “sorry this isn’t air Canada you’ll have to phone them for special rates etc” like most places would do is shady.

Second issue I have is that I needed to rebook my father-in-laws flight and have him fly to Toronto a day earlier because due to weather from Gander they were receiving the next day, he would have been delayed and we didn’t want our 10year old son in Toronto alone if he was delayed. So I called to rebook and there were lots of seats available according to air Canada’s website. First I was told that “no seats are available” and when I questioned her further and said there are lots of seats on air Canada’s site available, She suddenly changed her mind and said they had some. So I asked if I could change my ticket and was told it would be $1000.00 U.S!!!! i decided to pay because i had assumed the credit from the flight i was rescheduling would be credited towards the new flight. Iooking back I should had just cut my losses and booked with air Canada which would have only cost me $800.00 Canadian not the 1300.00 I ended up paying after exchange!! Only one part of the flight was supposed to be rescheduled, but they ended up cancelling both flights and I had to pay air canada another $50.00 which i had already paid to select the seat so my son was sitting next to his grandfather.

The third issue, I didn’t realize until I looked further but my sons ticket was paid in Canadian dollars and my father-in-laws was paid in American??? They were both booked on the same flight from Toronto to gander at the same time. I was told it’s because I selected the untied states icon when I booked online, first of all I didn’t book online, I booked over the phone with what I thought was air Canada! If I would have booked online I would have noticed I wasn’t on air Canada’s site. I live in Canada!! Why would I want to pay American prices?!!?! It’s not like the flight was cheaper. It cost us over $2000.00 for my father-in-law to fly from round trip to Toronto and back to Gander!! When changing flights I’ve never had to pay that much, I have no issue paying the difference or usually it’s just a fee. But $1300.00 on top of what I already paid is ridiculous!!!

I’ve never complained about a company or a service in my life. But this was awful and I feel like I was scammed. Upon reading review I’m not the only one. I’m beyond disappointed and rightfully so.

I requested breakdown of the flight I'm disputing. Told I would have it within 24hours...3 days later nothing.

SCAM OPERATION...I went directly to American Airlines…

I went directly to American Airlines site and was somehow re-routed to this site as I tried to reserve and pay for the flight. After making reservations, still thinking I was on the AA site, I got an email that I the booking was pending and had to call the Agent. When I did call the price was higher, and when I became suspicious I asked "are you an Agent of American Airlines?" Agent Rouge answered "Yes". When the price quoted was almost $100 higher, he told me he had the up to date direct connection with AA and and AA had just changed their prices and that my prices were old and would eventually change. Later when checking my credit card, I noticed a charge for ARC for $97 AND a charge for American Airlines for $279. The $279 was the price I had seen on line and thought I would get. They lied about the price and deceived me into thinking I was talking to a legitimate affiliate of AA. This is a SCAM OPERATION. DON'T USE THIS SITE.

FOLLOW UP ON MY PREVIOUS POST:To whom it may concern,
In answer to your conclusion that your agent identified himself as a lookupfare agent, that is a misrepresentation. He used the words, but the meaning was "I am looking up your fare". Your business has used an ambiguous name to mislead and confuse, and does not identify itself as a travel agency which charges fees for booking travel. Further, when I specifically asked your agent if he got a commission, his answer was NO. I asked this as he delayed and put me on hold when I grew suspicious of his delaying tactics. He kept saying the prices are changing, and that he has the most up to date prices. Again, a misrepresentation of the facts. Below, is what I was charged. The price for the actual airline tickets and YOUR COMMISSION, FEE.

Even today as I write this I can get the flight for around $300 or less. Your agent, and I assume with your permission, uses deceptive words and obfuscation to confuse the unwary traveler and you are justifying bad business practices, either intentionally or through manipulation of your business name. Be assured that I will share my interaction with your company to all of the websites that I manage.

Subject: 1 Star Trust Pilot Review - Reservation Number - 330610

Hello
Steven,

Thank you for contacting Lookupfare!

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this experience may have caused you.

As promised, we went through the reservation details within the given time frame and found that one of our representatives completed this reservation for you. We would like to assure you that as a travel agency our main focus is to make our customer's experience as convenient as possible and we never represent ourselves as any airline.

Our website clearly shows that we are "Lookupfare" and same is the case when anyone calls our customer care center we strongly discourage the idea of associating ourselves with any airline. However, as per your experience we did listen to the call and observed that the agent did not misrepresented himself. The agent, when asked, clearly informed that we are "Lookupfare".

We do appreciate you bringing this to our attention through the Trust Pilot review posted and we will definitely make sure that such experience is not repeated. But we as an organisation would like to avoid such negative reviews, as it can include damage to the business' reputation. Hence, we are intending to discuss the matter with you, to solve it to your satisfaction and request you to purge or revise the review according to your inclination. We tried to contact you today via the contact number provided while booking this reservation, to discuss the details of the reservation booked or to understand if there is any other perspective to this reservation we may facilitate, but landed on voicemail. We have left you a detailed voicemail that you may refer to. We request you to contact us anytime @ +1 888 509 5589 and talk to me or any of the managers. We will be glad to discuss and assist you with the reservation and make sure we leave no stone un-turned to get the situation resolved.

I am grateful that Brian, who is a lookupfare employee, was so helpful!

I was very impressed with how, Brian, went out of his way to help me with my flight from the states to and from Greece. There are obviously lots of hours spent in an airplane on an international flight.! I booked my flights online, then Brian called me to say he could help me with a better flight schedule. He asked me to give him a half hour or so to call me back. Thankfully he shaved hours of travel time off of my flights. There was no trying to sell me something. I appreciate his assistance. Thought I was booking directly. Cheap tricks.

Thought I was booking directly through the airline, and realized when I got the confirmation that it was the wrong company. Sifted through their mess of a website to find the cancellation policy, and when I found that I could cancel within 24 hours (only over the phone), I called immediately.
I was on hold for FOUR HOURS and was then disconnected.
I called back immediately and someone answered, and cancelled the flight.
The ONLY reason they got the second of two stars is because the transaction was cancelled fairly quickly.
It remains to be seen whether or not the money will actually be refunded or whether I will have to pursue it further.

Sucks!

Sucks!! Does not have any return policy. The website does not mention anything about the return policy nor the person you book the ticket from talks about the return policy. When you ask for a refund they say you will be charged 150$(Nowhere mentioned or talked about) even if your ticket cost is 100$.

It is not customer friendly. It is better to book from cheapoair.com as they refund you the complete amount

Smooth and user-friendly interface!

I always kinda hated booking flights. Going through all that booking procedure was no less than a hassle for a technologically challenged person like me. But must admit Lookupfare’s smooth and user-friendly website made my life simpler.

Not the Advertised Price

The website advertised one price, then I was charged another price. I asked for a receipt three times and still don't have a receipt. There was no email at any time. I didn't even have my itinerary. I had to call to get the airline's confirmation number and then get my boarding pass through their software. Not that big of a deal, but why do I need to call to get this information in the information age? The agents were friendly enough, but they ultimately were unable to help me.

TERRIBLE!

TERRIBLE!! Booked a flight and had the Travelers’ Concierge Fees. Was told that if I had to cancel I would get 100% refund! Well 5 days before the trip I had to cancel and was told the refund was only good for 24 hours after booking!!! They will get you credit for 1 year. Told them I want refund again they topld me they would only give me 1/2 the money back??? Don't use This is a scam!!

Any educated person can see all these…

Any educated person can see all these names, Aaron Smith and Max Wilson are clearly fake reviews. Who gets the full name and writes in how amazing they are c'mon, and these people never quit, haha.

The price I opened didn't exist, I got "discounts" on a different amount and none of the discount codes I provided worked. It sent me a confirmation email, yet made it seem like I had a more premium flight than I did - wouldn't let me buy baggage, only to find out on my confirmation that I did need to purchase. Also, I received a phone call from Ajax,Ontario, from a random number the next day saying they were lookupfare. (Though lookupfare is .com and was charging me in USD). And he said they had some forms to send me and needed my ID and BOTH sides of my credit card photos sent to them.

C'mon!! Who has EVER asked for photos of your credit card, in an online purchase. When I said, dude, this sounds like a scam, just cancel my reservation he very quickly was like (Ok, we'll cancel), again what company says that and then said "we were only calling as your card showed as fraudulent" and then hung up on me. What company calls YOU if your card shows up fraudulent, and what online purchase goes through if your card is fraudulent, and what bank doesn't lock or flag your card? This is such BS, this company is a complete and utter scam.

Dear Ms. Hollingsworth,

Greetings from Lookupfare.com

We do understand your apprehension about our company and it is perfectly fine to have such apprehensions about using a company for the first time. However, We as a company believe in following the policies, working as a legitimate organization and making sure we provide a hassle free experience to our consumers.

The reviews mentioned on this website are shared by our consumers purely based upon their own experience with us as you have.

We have reviewed your reservation and found that it was booked as third party transaction which means it included another passenger along with the card holder and the travel was to and from a different country than where the payment card is issued

As per our policies in such cases we require the billing documents (which consists of a picture of the credit card and card holder's Govt. Issued ID) to be sent to us along with an authorization form filled by the card holder to avoid any fraudulent transactions.

In such cases if the card holder does not feel comfortable in sending these documents the card holder can chose to cancel the reservation with no charge to the card which you requested in this case.

Usually when someone books such reservation with an airline directly these documents are requested to be presented at the airport however, with travel agencies these documents are requested at the time of booking the reservation.

We really do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you however, we look forward to assisting you in future in a better way.
