Avoid doing business if you are in the US

If you are in the US and subject to the Trump tariffs on imports, you should avoid doing business with this company. Upon delivery there will be a hefty fee imposed by the shipping company which includes both the tariff and "brokerage" by the shipping company. While you are led to believe this will be a 10% adder to the price, the brokerage fee by the shipping company makes this a very bad deal.

Edit in reply to Lordgun's overly-long reply: Thank you for supporting my point. The brokerage/handling fees from the carrier are a huge impact on the net cost of buying from Lordgun. USA folks: Don't buy from Lordgun. You will end up paying much more than you expect.

Dear customer,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We would like to clarify a few important points regarding customs duties, tariffs, and additional charges applied to shipments delivered to the United States.

All orders shipped from our company originate in Italy (European Union). As a result, shipments destined for non-EU countries—including the United States—are subject to customs controls upon arrival in the destination country. Any import duties, tariffs, taxes, or brokerage/handling fees are determined exclusively by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the courier, not by our company.

Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to estimate these charges in advance, as they are assessed by customs authorities and the shipping carrier. For this reason, all customs duties and related fees must be fully covered by the customer. We are also unable to provide alternative quotations or exemptions for these charges.

Please note that this information is clearly stated in our online cart and checkout process. Before completing an order, customers must explicitly acknowledge the following notice in order to proceed:

“The shipment is sent from the EU and orders destined for the USA may be subject to customs control at the destination with import tax and possible handling charges. The Trump administration has recently introduced tariffs on imported goods to the U.S. (e.g., EU origin +10%, China +34%, Vietnam +46%, Taiwan +32%, Japan +24%, etc.) that will greatly affect the final price of the purchased goods.”

This acknowledgement is mandatory and cannot be bypassed. Screenshots of this notice are available upon request.

If customs fees are not paid upon delivery, the parcel is either returned to us or, in some cases, abandoned by the courier. Should the shipment be returned, a refund will be issued once we receive the goods back, minus the original shipping costs and any return expenses incurred. If the courier abandons the shipment due to excessive return costs and the goods are not returned to us, we regret that a refund cannot be issued.

For detailed information regarding applicable duties or brokerage fees, we recommend contacting U.S. Customs or your local customs office prior to placing an order.

We remain available should you need further clarification and appreciate your understanding.

Kind Regards
Lordgun Team

Pirelli TL tyres

I ordered two sets of tubeless Pirelli tyres for my winter riding wheels.
These arrived within the 10 days that was specified.
The price was a 1/3 less than if I had purchased from a UK on-line shop.
Also as you keep under the UK customs limit, then it is definitely worth purchasing through LordGun.
I will definitely be using this company again.

Tryes

I've bought several items of the last couple of years. Yes it does take slightly longer to come but it's no big deal if you aren't in a hurry. Prices are good and they stick stuff I can find as easy in the Uk. Unfortunately the problems people mention on here are down to Britain being stupid enough to vote Brexit. These are the 'advantages' you were promised. 🙄 I will always look here for items before any other sites. 🇪🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🚴🏼

Not as good as a deal as it first looked

First, it was not clearly communicated at the time of purchase that I would be required to pay customs charges. This lack of transparency is unacceptable and misleading.
Secondly, the bib tights I purchased began to come apart at the seam after only a couple of weeks of normal use. This is clearly a manufacturing fault. When I submitted a warranty claim, I was informed that under your Terms & Conditions, return shipping costs are my responsibility.
I find this policy unreasonable and contrary to standard consumer protection principles. Under consumer law in many jurisdictions, when a product is faulty, the seller is responsible for all costs associated with repair, replacement, or return. Asking me to pay £30–£40 to return a defective product that cost £50 is not acceptable.

This was the first and last time i would purchase from you

Dear customer,

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction and would like to clarify a few important points regarding customs charges and our warranty process.

At checkout, customers located outside the European Union are clearly informed that additional customs duties and import charges may apply. This information is displayed in a highlighted message in the cart, and customers are required to actively acknowledge it by ticking a confirmation box before being able to proceed to checkout. This step was implemented specifically to ensure transparency and to avoid misunderstandings regarding customs fees.
Unfortunately, customs charges are determined and collected by local authorities and are entirely outside of our control. As such, they are not included in the product price and cannot be covered or reimbursed by us.

We understand your frustration regarding the issue with the bib tights. As communicated, our warranty terms for customers outside the European Union specify that return shipping costs, as well as any customs fees incurred during the return process, are the responsibility of the customer. These conditions are outlined in our Terms & Conditions, which are available on our website and apply to all purchases.
While we appreciate that consumer protection laws may differ by jurisdiction, our warranty policy reflects the legal framework under which we operate and is applied consistently to all non-EU warranty claims.
If you wish to proceed with the warranty claim, you may still do so by returning the product following the instructions previously provided. Once received, we will send the item to the manufacturer for inspection.

Kind Regards

Dear customer,
thank you for contacting us and sending us feedback.
We’re sorry to hear about your frustration and would like to clarify a few important points.
At checkout, we clearly state that some orders are dispatched from our EU warehouse and that additional import charges (VAT/duties) may be requested by the courier upon delivery. These charges are set by UK customs and UPS, not by us, and unfortunately are outside of our control.
Regarding tracking: once an order is dispatched, tracking details are automatically generated and shared. In some cases, couriers may take time to fully update their systems, which can temporarily affect visibility.
We absolutely understand how disappointing unexpected charges or delivery delays can be, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I have never been compelled to write a…

I have never been compelled to write a bad review but in dealing with Lordgun I had to.
I returned two tyres that unfortunately did not fit my bike wheels, they were extremely tight. Fine, I packaged them up in a shipping bag from another cycling complany, in which I received some items, the bag was in perfect condition, other than it had been previously opened. I ensured the bag was taped up extremely well and posted to Irongun. Please bear in mind the tyres had been issued to me in a bag from Lordgun themselves, not boxed up then bagged, just a bag.
Lordgun contacted me to advise the bag had arrived in unsuitable (not damaged) packaging, no mention of damaged tyres and that they would not be accepting my refund and I had to pay them postage to return the tyres back to me (?!).
I have tried now on a few occasions to refute this but they have remained adamant that they will not refund me (they have now forgotten about the demand for me to pay them to post back), even though the tyres are clearly undamaged. The reason being unsuitable packing.
My argument to this is how can anyone be responsible for how your post is handled once in transit?
I have received no photos, nothing. So there is no evidence, just their word.
Having now seen other reviews of this company, I wish I had not purchased from them.

NB:

Response from Lordgun just proves my point. No damage to the tyres whatsoever, but they will not issue a refund because the packaging was not the ‘specific’ packaging they suggest it should be. They can happily re-sell the tyres and leave me out of pocket. Double bubble for them - sorry but they are scammers!

Dear Customer,

We are sorry to read about your disappointment and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify what happened.

Before the return was shipped, we informed you— as we do with all customers — that items must be packed adequately and securely to avoid damage or loss during transport. Unfortunately, the parcel we received arrived open, with the tyres partially hanging out of the packaging. Although the tyres themselves were not damaged, the condition of the package did not meet the minimum requirements for a safe return.

For this reason, and in line with our clearly stated return policy, we were unable to accept the return. We initially asked for the shipping fee to send the items back to you, which is standard procedure in such cases. We understand this situation is frustrating, but we must apply the same rules consistently to ensure fairness to all customers.

Many customers follow the packaging instructions carefully, using sufficient tape and sturdy materials to ensure their return arrives in good condition. When a parcel arrives open or improperly sealed, we cannot be held responsible for what may occur in transit — just as customers would rightfully expect proper packaging from us when we ship their orders.

Kind Regards
