Seriously, just give people the money instead of using this disaster of a "service"
Why?
Got gifted a Love2shop card, I thought I would use it to buy someone something for their birthday. This is where the hell began.
So I wanted to buy something from Next, the Love2shop card didn't allow me to buy directly from there but allows me to buy a Next eCard (as the offer was online only), Huzaaa! I said... Nope, after some time I found the only way was to convert it to a MasterCard anywhere and lose 10% of the value of the voucher - So I said 'Ok, I will suck up the loss', bought the card, waited a while 20 minutes and bam, got it. Went on the Love2shop website and bought a gift card for £68.18 (a drop from the original £75 value of the gift card - couldn't use the MasterCard to buy the gift directly online as it was £69 and would decline the MasterCard, needed the voucher to knock off £68.18 and pay the rest with my own money).
I waited another 20 minutes and finally received the email with the eCard, it was a Love2shop eCard, not the Next eCard I purchased, it was a weekend so could t contact Love2shop until Monday.
Come Monday and I tell them the mistake, they tell me they can't do anything, I tell them they missold me something, they said they can't do anything, I say they have to because it's illegal to miss-sell something, they say they can't do anything, I demand to speak to management, they say they can't do anything.
Eventually after over an hour they refund me the money to the MasterCard, £68.18, so I lost the full value of the £75 gift card... Guess what, management said they couldn't do anything about it.
Do not use these scammer, just give people the cash or money into their account.
This service is terrible and unnecessary.

Don’t waste your time buying this for someone. You have to create an account to manage your card to be told ‘you can’t manage your card, please look at the info causing the problem in the first place’. Just give someone cash they will thank you for it trust me rather than this waste of space. Also the shops list is awful.

LIED ABOUT THE GIFT CARD THEY WERE SELLING AND THEN TOLD ME IT'S MY FAULT FOR NOT CHECKING WHICH GIFT CARDS THEY ACTUALLY SELL. on Google they were advertising an uber eats gift card and they even paid EXTRA to come up FIRST on results. I've never clicked on a false ad before and never bought a fake gift card before so I wouldn't think to check what gift cards they actually sell. after purchasing I called customer service twice and had a live chat with someone and they basically said "well despite the ad you should've checked what we actually sell, it's not our fault and the ad we have up isn't run by us" even though the ad had an uber eats gift card with their logo, their name AND redirected me to their website. had the audacity to even have their ad come up as the first result. I think some guy called Matt on the live chat tried saying it was google who made the ad for them or potentially a random person? bunch of lies. anyways I know they selling the gift card is against tos or wtv but IMMEDIATELY sold it to get my money back because you are not going to falsely advertise a product then gaslight me into believing it was my fault for buying the falsely advertised product. if this happened in nyc wallahi I would report you to mamdani and sue you and then become rich and buy your useless company and remove the false ad you're clearly paying for. love2scam has terrible customer service and falsely advertises products. and this was the nicest way I could write this review in hopes it passes trust pilot guidelines. I wish I could express my opinion more accurately with a wider and more vulgar range of vocabulary.

Pre paid card now locked, and tried for over 3 hours trying to contact Customer service. Awful site, should have phone number, guess £50 loss.

Absolute rubbish and terrible site. I've never known a more pathetic website and gift card. Impossible to register. Keep being told cards are activated in different ways. Complete nonsense. Told to follow advice in email. WHAT EMAIL ? Told to follow guidance on card. The only guidance is to register on a website that doesn't work.
I'll ensure every family member knows never to waste their money on a Love2shop gift card, ever. No more wasted Christmas or birthday gifts. Useless is an understatement. Money i could have spent in any shop or online by any other means is now a pathetic piece of plastic.

John was brilliant. Very quick and helpful response. Satisfied customer!
I am 60 years old and found the online system a tad confusing.
However, I contacted John from your telephony team via a form I submitted online and he recognised the issue and explained how the scheme works. I’ll know for next time. John via email was fab! x

I have used lovetoshop for many years and love the product however since the update to website I will be accessing my gift cards elsewhere. I have tried several times to login and despite re registering I still dont have direct access to my account without constant pass codes which take too long to arrive and then fail to activate. I have a thousand pounds worth of cards for Christmas that I cant see on my orders list despite paying into the account since last November . I cant believe this improvement has ruined my experience

Excellent customer service from Dean at love2shop. Extremely helpful, friendly and professional. Dealt with my query quickly and efficiently. A really positive experience - thank you Dean!
Yesterday I couldn't access my account without changing password. One time passcode didn't arrive via e-mail so rang up. Lovely lady told me the number and I was able to access. Later I tried again - and today - cannot receive passcode to log in. Tried to register complaint and concern about ongoing problems but SUBMIT button not working!!

Connor is fantastic and the best to work with! Whenever we need him, he always has the best attitude, finds solutions for us, is happy to answer all the questions we have with the detail we need and responds very quickly. Brilliant service and makes working with Love2Shop a great experience.
I've tried three times to use this card to buy e e-reader from Argos.
The first time they dispatched an electric hand whisk.
Subsequent attempts have been met with "oops something went wrong"
Looking down the very limited list of shops, I can't see one that I've shopped at in the last 5 years.
So I'm stuck with buying something I probably don't want from a store I don't shop at - or let the card "expire".
Having assigned the money to this useless card, I can't assign it to something more useful - so it's almost as good as lost.

I’d really like to give this minus or zero stars… been getting these paper vouchers from work for years and never had an issue. In the past 18-24 months the vast majority of stores are now refusing to accept paper vouchers and this then leads to embarrassing moments with shopping being left behind. Not only are stores not accepting paper vouchers, love 2 shop still advertise these stores on the actual voucher. Also no way to change the paper voucher into a card. Our company has over 1000 employees and can’t find a feasible and logistical way to change to cards. Many of us are now not even taking them and very soon the business will stop buying them completely and after speaking to them, they’re not helpful at all and showed zero empathy. 👎🏽

Apparently you need to have a mortgage to get gift cards. No other company acts that way a major red flag

I was gifted two vouchers totalling £35. After scratching to reveal the ‘gift code’, digits 9/12 were missing on both cards and I was therefore unable to redeem both cards. I want help resolving this!

I’ve put 1 star but only because I can’t give zero stars. Got a £40 card off someone for Christmas, when I scratched the silver strip off, it took half of the code off. I contacted the company and they said I need a receipt from the shop I got it from. This would be impossible for me to get. They’ve basically just stole £40 off me because of their rubbish card. Do not buy as a gift for anyone as I’m sure it’s a con. The strip is probably made to fail and then they make it impossible for you to retrieve your money.

As advertised on the site I purchased a voucher intended to be redeemed against Sainsburys. Once I had purchased the voucher I logged on to redeem however Sainsburys nor any other supermarket was available for redemption. After battling the chatbot to be put into contact with a human I was basically told that this isn't an option anymore, and that I can either 'hold onto the voucher for a future purchase' or go through a very long winded process to redeem the voucher and then request a refund with a 5% transaction fee deduction. Utterly disappointed that I was essentially mis-sold a product that isn't offered anymore and that is will cost me to rectify... I would never use nor recommend this company ever again

Love2shop digital gift cards.
I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding my gift cards, which are not working when I attempt to use them.
I have already contacted you by email regarding this issue, where I was asked to send pictures of the gift cards which I did but despite sending emails and trying to resolve the matter, I have not received a satisfactory response or a solution.
The gift cards were provided to me in good faith from work for having my baby. With this I should be able to use them without experiencing these problems. It is extremely frustrating to have to repeatedly contact customer services about an issue that has still not been resolved.
I would therefore like you to investigate this matter urgently and explain why the gift cards are not working. I would also appreciate confirmation of what steps you will take to resolve the issue, whether that means reactivating the gift cards, replacing them, or providing an alternative solution.
Please also review my previous emails regarding this matter, as I do not want to have to keep repeating the same information.
I would appreciate a written response as soon as possible and confirmation that this complaint has been logged and is being investigated.
I look forward to your prompt response and a satisfactory resolution.
Kind regards,
Bertha Gyamfi
