Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 54 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people expressed deep disappointment and betrayal due to the cancellation of a highly anticipated new character, especially after extensive marketing and personal investment. Customers felt that the company disregarded their voices and the hard work of the development team, leading to a loss of trust and a feeling of misleading marketing. Some people also felt that the company's management was unprofessional, prioritizing a small segment of their audience over the global player base and failing to address existing game issues. This led to concerns about the game's future, a lack of communication, and a perceived focus on profit over player experience.

Bring Back VALKO

No Valko? No Play. No Pay.
You don't get to remove a character we were promised and paid money to prepare for just because loudmouth bullies told you to.

As someone who found a reason to keep playing the game mainly for Valko's release,i am deeply disappointed and hurt for the sudden decision to cancel him, please bring him back otherwise i don't see a reason to keep playing.
He's already a part of the game so removing him will mess up the story and the whole future of the game.
If there are some necessary changes that must be done then do the changes, but bring him back, he's not the problem and he doesn't deserve this.

I hate what happened to Valko.

I hate the fact that we had to see a whole character with a lot of potential be deleted for a huge misunderstanding that could've been cleared up with adjustments and apologies. Why do you absolutely NEED to destroy your game for that? I understand that CN community is important, but we also deserve to be heard. If you don't want to release Valko in CN server, give him at least, to others. I installed once again the game for him, but now, even though I love Rafayel and Xavier, I will not play the game, because that's SOOOOO disappointing. I'm not installing this. I literally cried for him.

I have spent 1141 hours in this game and spend 210,55 USD. The recent decision to cancel Valko has fundamentally changed my trust in the game. After seeing that a major character can be permanently cancelled after being officially announced, I no longer feel confident continuing to support the game financially. This decision has been deeply upsetting for me on a personal level and has left me heartbroken. Because of this, I have decided to uninstall the game. #BringBackValko

BRING BACK VALCO

The company heavily pushed the introduction of a new love interest for about a week and ended up putting him on the chopping block for made up or unrelated matters.

The company bowed down to a small group of maniacs and removed the love interest from the game before he even premiered leaving so many players disappointed and upset because we invested money in preparation for the new character just to have him removed. I feel like I can no longer trust infold as a company’s after this when they had explicitly said they will not be removing him from the game to do just that.

I will no longer participate in the game as a western player since it seems obvious the company only listens to mainland players. Valko did nothing wrong, the number mentioned for the reason he got taken down was related to another character story and them saying he broke and entered the main characters hime when he didn’t he asked her for permission to enter is among the least egregious things a love interest has done in the game.

Seeing the racist and homophobic statements made my mainland fans also puts a bad taste in my mouth with the company after they ended up siding with those bigoted individuals. With all that said please think carefully if you want to support a company like this.

Please bring back Valko

Infold executives cancelled the imminent release of an anticipated character, Valko, in response to an accumulation of smaller criticisms about their business practices that had built up and remained ignored for two years (and in response to rampant bullying by a small subset of parasocial, rabid ‘fans’ of the game). They released this character before resolving said issues. When people were unhappy about that, they deleted the character instead of resolving the issues. Most of us around the world have lost trust in this company and in every game they create.

The way that they handled this situation has dissuaded longtime, committed fans from engaging with the game in any capacity until our voices are heard.

Not worth investing in

I play Love and Deepspace, and the game itself is good. The graphics, story, game mechanics, and characters are all top tier. The problem is with the company behind the game. They've proven themselves to be greedy, dishonest, underhanded, and willing to capitulate to the demands of psychopathic players with a scapegoat instead of actually fixing the issues behind the outage- scarce resources for grinding, missing content for pay walled characters, lighting issues that disproportionately affect POC players, back to back banners, no road map, zero communication with the players, and so much more. At this point trust between company and consumer is shattered and I cannot recommend any game made by Infold/Paper games.

Broken Trust

Instead of fixing the real problems players had with this game, the company instead canceled and deleted the entire existence of a new character before his release. This is false advertising, since marketing for the new character has been widespread over the last several days, even extending into irl marketing campaigns like in Times Square in NYC. The company chose to allow rabid, toxic fans to control the narrative and decide the outcome of this situation. This sets a dangerous precedent for the entire game and the future of the company itself. No longer can the global players of this game trust Infold to do what is right by their players; they have shown time and time again that their global player base is not worth listening to...and this is the final nail in the coffin. We have spent hours of our precious lives with these characters we adore, we have spent our hard earned money to support this game, we have invested emotionally in a story that we believed in. Our one and two star reviews can barely scratch the surface of how heartbreaking this entire situation is for us as a community who loves LADS but cannot give Infold another chance. Our trust is broken.

Uninstalled the game

I love the game, played it since Sylus release in 2024, but now I’m quitting because the game fails its players in every way possible. There is no Love and Deepspace without Valko. Games should bring joy not tears!

Prejudiced and folds to racism

I loved this game when I started playing it and was happy to spend my money on it and was super excited recently when they released the trailers for the 6th love interest. However, a lot of the Chinese fandom didn’t like him due to his skin colour being ‘too dark’ and him looking too western. And due to that the game decided to cancel the 6th love interest which is them literally enabling the racism. The game does not care about its global players who really wanted the 6th love interest and have completely ignored their voice. Completely prejudiced. Therefore I wouldn’t recommend this game to anyone and I definitely will not support a game who folds to a small racist fan base

Justice for Valko

I have no problems with Infold tweaking the story or the character’s appearance after they have been marketed, but cancelling him entirely is something else. Not even delaying him, but deleting his entire existence. I am entirely disappointed by this company once again (infinity nikki players can relate), as they keep showing us they do not care about global players.

My phone is on fire (in a bad way)

Takes up way to much space on my phone and isn’t rewarding enough

Love and deepspace takes up so much room on my phone everytime I play it I feel my phone start to heat up like it’s on risk of setting on fire and I have an iPhone 15 ! iOS 26.5 and it’s a struggle to get the game to load then when I am playing the game I’m worried my phone is going to set on fire.

There are too many events, main love interests and not enough ways to get gems and in game money to be able to pull for them and get their items/memories/cards

When a new event comes out I feel like I have to buy the in game money just so I can participate before it ends, there’s no good way to grind for the games version of money either. So either you spend real money or you miss out on things.

It doesn’t feel like a game it feels like a money grab.

I love video games, I love otome games, but the point of games if you play them and get rewarded it feels like love and deep space no matter how much you play, log in, grind, you never have enough of what you need so you end up having to spend actual money.

There are so many issues with the game but I feel like that is a major one.

Poor management

Poor management. The Global fanbase's voices don't matter, and many lost money by purchasing diamonds in preparation for promised content that was canceled. #BringBackValko

I was in love with this game...

I have played this game since it's original release, invested a ton of money, purchased official merch, have been an active part of the LADS community on all platforms, and even had a irl friend grab me OG merch while they were in China. With that said, I'm devastated to see Infolds dismissal of everything going on right now. They got us hyped for the new LI just to cancel him right before his official launch. They then announce that they not only nerfed the character but there will be no 6th LI going forward. We have been aware that there would be a 6th LI this entire time. It was not a secret, nor a surprise and he's desperately needed to balance the game. They have issues with story progression and the development on 2 of the other LI's but there's no reason or excuse as to why they couldn't release the 6th LI AND work on their other known flaws. I fear that if they're willing to suddenly pull the rug out from under us, what else will they do? I don't want to invest anymore money in fear that they'll take something else away. Now we're left confused and an entire design team is having to watch their hard work vanish into nothing. My fingers are crossed that they'll bring Valko back and fix this mess.

Disheartening behavior from Infold

Disheartening behavior from Infold. Caving into a toxic minority and completely erasing Valko is incredibly unfair to the global audience who was thrilled to welcome him. Not to mention, it completely disrespects the voice actors, animators, and artists whose hard work over months has been entirely thrown in the trash.
