LTL Language School Reviews 

I have been learning Chinese online for half a year and wanted to boost my knowledge. I chose LTL School in Beihai for its smaller, more personal environment and the chance to experience life in China away from the big cities.

I enrolled in a three-week program with six hours of private lessons daily, and my experience exceeded all expectations. I was assigned two teachers, whose different teaching styles made the lessons both interesting and enjoyable.

The school organizes activities several times a week, such as dining at local restaurants and playing local sports. These activities not only provided opportunities to get to know the local culture but also allowed me to connect with other students.

My accommodation with a local host further enhanced the immersion, giving me chances to practice the language outside class and experience daily life in China.

LTL Beihai is an excellent choice for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of Chinese language and culture and I highly recommend it.

I booked a two week beginner language course in Beijing with 6h/day (total 60 h). I spent 2/3 of the time in a group of three people and 1/3 in a 1-1 class with a private teacher. Even though I didn’t speak a word of mandarine when I arrived I had a great time in the classes and in the school in general. The teachers are very friendly and patient but also commited. The admistrative staff is also great. They were very helpful if I had any questions at all. And the organized activities were a great way to connect with the other students. Overall a very positive experience, which I highly recommend!

I booked 2 weeks with LTL in Seoul as they are the only Korean language
school I could find that has 6h a day 1-1 classes AND allows flexible
scheduling of classes that enabled me to book 2 weeks as non-consecutive
weeks while still having an almost seamless transition from week 1 to 2.
Additionally, when some of my plans changed between booking and the
actual start of the classes, my changes to the schedule were easily
accommodated.
I absolutely enjoyed the classes that were adapted exactly to my needs
with engaged and professional teachers and I was also impressed with the
additional activities (from daily lunches to weekly events) organized by
the LTL team for all students.

Studying at LTL was an outstanding experience. The teachers--Shu Laoshi and Sissy Laoshi--were knowledgeable and caring. In addition to being excellent language teachers, they were willing to help me with vocabulary, the phrasing of idioms, and the writing of Mandarin characters on any topic I wished. In the process they taught me a great deal on aspects of Chinese and Taiwanese culture, religion, and social issues. The administrative staff--Riona, Alin, and Greta--proved to be extraordinarily helpful in handling every aspect of our stay for my wife and me. They very kindly accompanied us to go purchase an "Easy Card" for riding the MRT/subway; they offered suggestions on the best neighborhoods and shrines to visit; and they even helped us with deciphering the inscription on an old lamp we acquired. Everyone, teachers and staff alike, made us feel welcome and at home. I've studied at many language institutes in many locales; LTL is one of the very best I've ever encountered. I give it 5 stars: my highest recommendation!

I never expected to be able to learn so much in just 3 weeks! Jessica was a perfect teacher, she understood exactly what I needed, was totally dedicated, always enouraging, tremendously patient, very experienced and effective. The staff and other students all contributed to making my LTL experience even nicer.
I honestly recommend LTL Taipei to anyone interested in learning Chinese in a very interesting city!

Amazing Week at LTL Beijing!

I had an incredible week living and studying at LTL Language School in Beijing. From the moment I arrived, the staff's dedication to creating a supportive and enriching experience was clear. My teacher was always punctual, ensuring every class started right on time, which made our days both productive and enjoyable. The attention to detail in the lessons and the support I received throughout the week were exceptional.

After our morning classes, we’d go out for lunch together, giving us a chance to explore local cuisine and practice Mandarin in a relaxed setting. I also loved the extracurricular activities—like the Tai Chi sessions we did together. These cultural activities were not just enjoyable but made my stay feel deeply connected to Chinese traditions.

The school director and the whole team at LTL were genuinely attentive to every aspect of my stay, from academic support to personal comfort, which made my experience even more fulfilling. If you're considering studying Chinese in Beijing, LTL is definitely a school I highly recommend for its excellent teaching, well-organized activities, and personal touch that made my week unforgettable!

每天上午的课程结束后，我们会一起外出吃午饭，不仅可以品尝地道的美食，还能在轻松的氛围中练习中文。此外，我特别喜欢太极等课外活动，这些文化活动不仅有趣，还让我更加深刻地体验了中国的传统。

Our 15 year old daughter went abroad (Taiwan) on her own for the first time ever and had a wonderful experience with LTL! The registration and intake process was smooth and reassuring, with a live Zoom call with the staff to answer questions and explain how the key parts would work from airport pickup, host family, commuting to school, classes and curriculum, and after-school and weekend activities. The host family was wonderful, very experienced and welcoming, and finding a nice balance between engaging with our daughter while also giving her alone time. The classes were perfect, a small group, not too much studying, nicely balanced with activities including calligraphy, mahjong and outings. The teachers were wonderful and communication throughout was smooth both through texting and also video chat to confirm key points. Very thankful to everyone at LTL for a life-changing experience for my daughter! Hope to send her again for a longer stay next year.

Being at LTL was an amazing experience. I met many new friends at LTL and the teachers were all great. The out of class activities that were organised by the school are great opportunities to meet new people and bond with them.
My tip: choose the lessons in the morning, so you can attend the activities and spend more time with your friends. In my experience most people go for morning classes.

The Safari program was great. I walked in the real China and the teacher told me how to use Chinese in real life. I wanted to spend more time in LTL!

I just spent 5 weeks in Chengde with LTL.

Chengde is a quaint and beautiful city. Surrounded by mountains and imperial palaces and temples, you will never be short of things to do in your free time - whether it be cultural activities or hiking. Beautiful city, lots of fun things to do, and only 1 hour on the fast train to Beijing, close to other tourist attractions in North-east China, Inner Mongolia and Hebei itself. LTL will also help you organise other activities with your language partner if you prefer.

I just spent 5 weeks in Chengde with LTL.
I organised my stay within 2 weeks. The service was quick, friendly, and concise. All my classes, my homestay, and welcome packages organised within days of inquiry. Truly great service.

Chengde is a quaint and beautiful city. Throughout my time I had 3 teachers, who were always patient with me, and grew to become my friends. Thanks Jack, Ida and Mike! Thanks to you, my confidence in my Chinese has exploded! the classes are tailored to your needs, whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced – In my case, I came to Chengde to focus purely on vocabulary and conversational skills. We found my best method was watching western cartoons I had already watched on Bilibili (chinese streaming site) and studying the new vocab together and using these new words in our conversations. Some days we had outdoor classes, and other days we went out shopping together!

My homestay was definitely the highlight of my stay. They truly welcomed me into the family and will made me feel very welcomed. Healthy Chinese meals every day, help with my language practice, and a once in a lifetime experience into Chinese home-life. I will miss my Chinese Mum, Dad, LaoLao, little brother, and little sister so much. I will definitely come back!

My Chinese level has improved so much, I made life-long friends, and my immersion into real Chinese culture was a once in a lifetime experience. As soon as I have another opportunity to come back, I’ll be reaching out to LTL immediately.

Loved LTL. Came here for a 3 week one on one program. It’s easy to set a schedule and time period to study, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. My teacher Ana was a fantastic teacher who was able to cater to my learning goals and I left feeling like I was a much better speaker than I was coming in

This is the best language school in Taiwan! The staff and other students are all so welcoming which makes it enjoyable to come to school. On top of that, the team run countless events that are centred on understanding and experiencing Taiwan!

Personally, I trust reviews to help me decide on a variety of decisions, especially when travelling to new places. That is why I am writing this review to encourage you to come to LTL Taipei. I have been here for three months and truly everyday has been a joy. The staff here are a special group of people who really really care about you as a student and as a person. They work everyday day to ensure your education, your living situation, and your extracurricular needs are met in order to enjoy the experience of being a language student in another country. My teachers Willy, Tammy, Sabrina, and JuJu have been absolutely wonderful to work with. They each love teaching with their own methods, and they each know how to make class fun, interesting, and effective at any level! Overall, I am so grateful I found LTL and I will definitely be back.

I've been in Beihai LTL for 2 weeks now and so far my experience has been amazing. There are a lot of activities and the common spirit at the school is great. The teachers and staff are very helpfull, energetic and encouraging.
As a city Beihai has been very nice. Compared to other cities like Shanghai and Beijing, Beihai is smaller, but there is still a lot to do and see. You can get around easily with a scooter or didi.

I had the chance to study Chinese in Beihai for a week. 4 hours a day! The teacher was a machine - so energetic - more than me! haha She was fun and flexible - we took breaks when I needed. The studying was challenging and pertinent and relatable - I wanted to study how to describe what I saw and did - that's how you learn verbs and adjectives faster.
I am now studying Korean with them in Seoul and OMG, their location is top class, right in the center of the city near Hongdae! Can't beat that - the teacher is amazing as well - bringing great materials to class. I'll come back!
