The so called organisation who is…

The so called organisation who is carrying out the forever weekend engineering works on the green line, seem to have forgotten their customers. Each weekend there is engineering works, yet the luas people provides no bus service between the affected areas, to assist their customers, after all, we the customers has to take the bus or taxi to get to our destination which cost us to do so, but the most important activity for the luas is the harassment of their ticket inspectors, constantly asking literately each stop for your ticket. Now let's look at customer service here, first we have engineering works accepted, it has to be done. No link transport, so we have to pay again on the bus to get past the engineering work to carryon our journey and to add to that the inspectors, WHY? Unfair advantage. Lousy service. Too much random

- Monday-Friday: you can catch trams from around 5.30am in the morning until around 12.30am at night.
- Saturday: you can catch trams from around 6.30am until 12.30am at night.
- Sundays: you can catch trams from around 7.30am until 12pm at night.

The last Luas is really random. Sometimes you can catch it at 00:45, and sometimes you can't at 00:15.

I'm leaving near of a Luas Station, it's the 2nd time the Luas isn't working in a month, so we need to commute with Taxi or Bus.

Really annoying services.

Edit : There is only 2 lanes for the trams, and there is often technical issues. If you fill a complaint, they will answers with a template. Terrible services.

Despicably awful service

Despicably awful service. If you want to be on time, either leave 2 hours early or simply DO NOT USE LUAS. I had to go to an apartment viewing on Thursday. Left an hour and a half early. Then the train stopped in the middle of nowhere and we were asked to get off cause it wasn't gonna go to Parnell. Then all the red luas was being redirected to Connolly instead of The Point. I missed my viewing. Now, today, Saturday I left for work an hour and a half early and the Luas stopped at Beechwood and we were told to get off as it would be the final stop. They told us we can get a bus for city but 1. It's every half an hour and 2.it doesn't come close to my stop. So I was told I was better off walking for "15 minutes". Well, guess what, it's not 15 minutes it's 40. And now I am late for work as well. Totally unreliable. For the "service" provided it should be free of change honestly.

Kindest Luas Driver ever

Hi all,
Yesterday me and my girlfriend were involved in an altercation on the luas. We were doing our best to mind our own business when a group of adolescent girls decided to ruin our day. Long story short we got attacked and I ended up having to defend myself and drag my girlfriend off the luas. When we were off my girlfriend was visibly upset and i was doing my best to calm her down. We were then approached by one of the luas drivers who turned out to be one of the kindest individuals we met. He reported the incident and took our details but did it in the nicest way possible. If that luas driver is reading this i want to say thank you so much to you because you definitely saved the day for us and i had to put your act of kindness into writing somewhere.

Left property returned within minutes

I left a vital medical box on the luas this morning at Heuston station. I alerted a staff member who immediately contacted the driver and my box was returned to me within 40 minutes at Heuston station in time to catch my train to Westport.
Thank you very much to the members of staff of Luas for their concern and quick action....I am very grateful to them.

Worst service ever!

I wanted to put 0 stars but it’s not possible. Luas is the worst service ever!!! It’s always full of drug and alcohol addict who annoy you. They never pay the ticket and luas inspectors don’t say anything. Luas inspector’s machine doesn’t work properly because they charged me money even if I tagged on my leap card. Furthermore other day I was stuck in the luas for 20 mins. The worst service ever, if you have to take public transport use a bus or go by walk, trust me!

Terrible service

Terrible service, the driver of Luas 3016 going towards South Side did not even stop.at the luas stop.

Paid with my leap card for nothing, basically paying to be robbed as the driver would not even stop, but slow down at the stops and the doors couldn't be open.

Guards with no brains and sense and…

Guards with no brains and sense and issue fines without even looking into the situation neither provide better solutions to online top ups or ticketing systems—no sense of understanding or politeness other than looting people money. I was a first-time traveller, and I did recharge, and I tapped before to get into luas. I thought it was all done. After these brainless guards checked my leap card, it was showing low balance and not tapped. After I rechecked with my phone than in front of the guard, then the balance appeared. It was a recharge fault and leap card fault, and it's just happened the first time, and I even showed the proofs. Still, they are like sheep, and my appeal was rejected and sending a default letter saying I have to pay; otherwise, XYZ will happen. l really hate the customer service in the Luas system. I paid 45 Euros for unintentional things and which was clearly a technical issue. They have no brains or sense to look into statements and make people pay. My advice is to use the Dublin bus rather than Luas, it's worth it, and the drivers are really humble and helpful.

Consistently frustrated with service

pressed the button multiple times to get on and the door never opened and the driver pulled off. Waited for the next Luas in 6 minutes at red cow and it never arrived. I then waited for the next one in 16 which also never arrived. I won’t make my last bus home now as it’s 11:30. Terrible service terrible staff

Its a joke horse would be more reliable for daily commute

Its a joke. Getting daily to work and back from saggart is nightmare. Antisocial behaviour, drinking smoking drugs on trams fights I've seen it all daily. Delays are constant. Daily waiting for saggart luas over 30 min. Frequent out of service take bus announcements. Just horrible. Its like each driver decides when to go where or even if they will go at all. Even when they decide to drive their route its normal for them to talk to each other for long time when changing drivers on red cow while passengers wait in tram. Drivers allow their collegues inside drivers cabin during trips where they sit on control panel as passengers. No mask overcrowded dirty trams. When control comes in they scan leap cards of everybody without gloves never wiping down scanner just making sure everybody gets in direct contact with every person in dublin that was checked that day. Proper breading ground for spread of covid. Awoid at any cost.

Horrible service

Unfortunately I need to take the Luas every day to go to work. The worst public transport of all.
I live in town and work in citywest. I get the Luas in cheeverstown(9:53pm) and change in Belgard to get another one heading to the point. However, many times it doesn't shows up and I have to wait an extra 19 minutes for the next one.
The sits are so small, there isn't enough space for you to rest your legs... it has been a horrible experience. Those workers who need to commute every day during the night time are left behind. I feel impotent. Everything is so expensive in this country and the quality is very poor. It isn't a first world service at all. Ireland would be lost if there wasn't The European Union (EU) :(
My overall review is 1 to the service provided.
