Closing accounts for nothing, removing bad reviews

I was using them and then they started asking thousands of questions about my transfer. The support replied like a robot (I think it actually was robotic/templated responses). and even after providng all the documents they closed my accounts for the reason "you specified anouther reason for opening the account" even though when I opened the account I specified all avaialble opitons.

PS: THEY ARE REMOVING BAD REVIEWS! My previous review was removed even after they replied to it, so they agreed that issue exists but then removed it anyway. I also noticed they removed couple of other 1 start reviews from my friends.

guys fix your bank rather then faking your online trust score

This is due to our regulatory requirements, such as our obligations under the Financial Supervisory Authority, our general terms and conditions, and anti-money laundering legislation, all of which require a high level of customer due diligence.

At times, we need the customer’s assistance to achieve sufficient knowledge, and you may therefore be asked to provide supporting documentation.

Our support team and the department responsible for transfers are two separate departments. This means that our support team does not have the ability to process cases handled by another department directly.

Our terms and conditions must be followed in order to maintain an active customer relationship with us. To protect everyone's privacy and follow strict confidentiality and data protection rules, such as GDPR, we cannot discuss your case on social media. ⚠️ Serious warning about Lunar Bank

I strongly advise people to think twice before using Lunar Bank based on my experience.

My account and card were blocked for weeks without proper notice. I only found out after depositing money and then being unable to access or use it. Even more concerning, their system still allowed me to deposit funds while my access was restricted — meaning they were willing to accept my money but not let me use it.

There is no direct customer support, no phone access, and responses come only when it suits them, with no clear timeline or accountability. Being locked out of your own money for weeks without proper communication is unacceptable for any financial institution.

I understand banks must follow regulations, but there is a big difference between legitimate security checks and poor handling of customers. In my case, the lack of transparency, slow response, and restricted access to my own funds has been extremely frustrating and stressful.

Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Lunar Bank to anyone who expects reliable access to their money or proper customer support.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand that not having access to your account can feel both frustrating and concerning. Access to your funds is important, and we fully acknowledge that this type of situation can create uncertainty.

That said, we would like to clarify how our processes generally work.

If an account is restricted, this is never done without reason. As a regulated financial institution, we are obligated to review certain types of activity and, where necessary, temporarily limit access while we seek clarification. This is part of our legal and regulatory responsibilities and is not something we apply arbitrarily.

When such measures are taken, customers are informed through written communication within the app or via registered contact channels. We request the relevant information needed to move the review forward. A case cannot be finalized until the necessary clarification is received and assessed.

Regarding response times, Lunar operates with a structured case handling setup. We do not function as a live chat or instant response service. All cases are reviewed carefully and handled according to internal procedures and regulatory requirements. This ensures consistency, documentation, and proper compliance, even though it may not always feel immediate from a customer perspective.

It is also important to clarify that a temporary restriction does not mean that funds are retained or taken by the bank. The purpose of such a measure is solely to ensure transparency and security while a review is ongoing.

Finally, Lunar operates separate Trustpilot domains for Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. This structure exists so that feedback is directed to the relevant local team responsible for the specific market, ensuring that the appropriate department can review and respond accordingly.

We understand that security reviews can be inconvenient. However, these processes are in place to protect both customers and the bank and are applied consistently in accordance with regulatory obligations.

I needed my new Danish bank account in a bit of a rush, and the staff both on the phone and via email, (including Malou), really helped me with getting my account over the line, very grateful for them and their time

I wanted to stop/ end my account but…

I wanted to stop/ end my account but nobody help me out to do it. I just keep paying even though I’m not using it. The customer service couldn’t just help me briefly or give step by step. It’s more than a year I had the account and many times I tried to close the account but is so difficult to figure out to close the account. I think they do not want to help out because they like to get money from it.

Lunar is perfect bank

Lunar is perfect bank , easy to use many different plans for every need ! The reason I put 4 stars and not 5 is because I wish in future lunar will fix instant payment as many banks have done nowadays … that’s the only issue otherwise it’s perfect 🤩

Witholding funds

When transfering funds out of your account, expect days or weeks delay and a terrible customer service. Stay away from this "bank".

A bank transfer takes 1-3 business days, and an international transfers can take up to 5 business days. Sometimes, transfers can be delayed due to different reasons, but waiting multiple weeks for a transfer seems very long.

Worst bank ever
