The worst - absolutely horrible customer svc

Absolutely horrible customer service - poor communication and lack of follow up is embedded in the company DNA

The initial sales team is great at showing all sorts of features and making things seem so easy and wonderful. The onboarding process was promised to be 10 weeks or less but it too 6 months.

Once we launched our App we were expressing disappointment in that very few of the features were were "sold" on were actually available to us for Our company app - we were told that that were were being launched on the "2.0 version" however this was never disclosed to anyone on our team. We needed and wanted the features we saw on other company apps, we wanted our menu to appear similar to those others, we wanted SMS marketing capability and Push Notifications, heck we simply wanted the ability to offer single use Coupon Codes. All of the above are with major headaches or simply not available at all . . . this was a total "bait n switch"

Worst of all, there are No Phone numbers to get in touch with Anyone from the "support team".

We have had issues such as Nobody with an iphone being able to use the app for over 1 week, updates being pushed without our knowledge that forced users to be required to Delete the App and re-download. Constant coupon code errors (even though we are having the LB staff create the coupon codes)

This app as upset far more customers than it has attracted and we have conservatively spent over $10k in marketing to try and attract users to download the App only to have even our Best Regulars tell us flat out that they will never use it because there are so many glitches and headaches

The biggest frustration is that Nobody in this company makes themself available to us via Phone. Everything is handled by email and it can take 7, 10 or even 14+ days to get a response from ANYONE. Even when dealing with the most critical operational issues. They simply do not have a customer service mentality. The most commonly used phrase from just about anyone on the Lunchbox team is "we are escalating this issue to the appropriate team for you." But you are never given any contact info for anyone from "this team" and no expectation of any sort of response time is ever given.

If we could develop a new app tomorrow and launch with new company and seamlessly switch all of our users we would most definitely do it. I would recommend just about ANY other mobile app developer other than Lunchbox. you will regret having them build your app for as long as it is active

STAY AWAY

Lunchbox.io is possibly one of the worst software companies to exist. We unfortunately switched over to them in Jan of 2021 and did not go live until the next year AFTER we had given them a $10,000 upfront fee. Their excuse was that they are buying out another company and that it has taken longer than normal to get everything situated. Anyway, that's beside the point - since we went live with them, it's been nothing but misery and hell. We have a big chain here in Arizona (9 locations) and a very big fan base. I can tell you that we have upset a lot of our loyal customers and have lost tons of current and potential customers due to Lunchbox's software.

Menu changes on its own for absolutely no reason - also takes off menu items, again, for no reason
Prices do not adjust when you need them to adjust after customer support has confirmed its been done
Some locations will just go offline for no reason and you miss all of the revenue and, if you don't check on it, you can go a few days with no orders
The delivery system they have is the definition of a disaster. We have multiple drivers coming in for 1 order which has already been picked up. The issue has been resolved after begging them to look into it for a few months. By the way, you have to BEG to get issues resolved
They claim it integrates with POS systems but I can tell you that we've been working on the integration for a few months with very little progress
They don't seem to care to do their job when there are CRITICAL issues and instead send you instructions on how to do things when they should know that restaurant owners do not have the time to sit there and dissect a problem that wasn't even their fault to begin with!
Thousands and thousands of dollars worth of refunds due to their software messing things up

The list goes on and on but I will stop there.

The customer support that is provided with the software is just as bad as the product itself. They do not work with a sense of urgency when major issues happen that threaten revenues and you WILL lose revenue due to their software going down almost on a weekly basis. When emailing support, they do not reply for a few days, and you'll be missing all the revenue which has happened to some of our locations on MULTIPLE occasions. Every software we use to run our restaurant chain has a customer support PHONE NUMBER which is to be used in emergency situations, so we can get to the bottom of whatever the issue is at the moment, but it looks like Lunchbox is too hip for that and instead just make you email and wait. They only consistently email you when your monthly fee is due!

Overall, the user interface is sexy, the idea of it is amazing but the execution is horrible. This is an example of "great Idea, bad execution".

I am calling on this company to be acquired by one of the big players OR to change leadership. I am a business owner and have a pretty big business myself so it's sad to see a company as big as Lunchbox just go down hill.

I hope this review can help bring changes to the company.

Lunchbox continues to evolve and innovate. Their platform is robust, flexible, and able to scale for anyone from SMB to Enterprise. They also build real, human relationships with their customers and listen to their feedback, which is a core differentiator in this space.

Second time ordering from Papa Gino’s…

Second time ordering from Papa Gino’s on the new Lunchbox platform. Ordered to the Plaistow NH location. Very easy to order, food was ready on time, like that I can earn loyalty points for purchases. Will order using Lunchbox again.

Lunchbox app used by Foxtail Coffee for…

Lunchbox app used by Foxtail Coffee for Loyalty credits does a terrible job. The app fails to credit customers when entitled then requires customers to provide proof of purchase. Terrible Lunchbox is screwing Foxtail Coffee by not crediting customers what their entitled and billing Foxtail Coffee.

Lunchbox was a godsend for us

Lunchbox was a godsend for us. For years I have worked with countless technologies that were good, but never was able to streamline.

Lunchbox came and gave us more data attributes, connected our online ordering with our app, broadened our catering business and connected us better with our guests. A true omnichannel.

I recommend Lunchbox to all restaurant groups, big or small.

AWFUL communication and experience

Where do I start...we signed up with Lunchbox back in May with a promised "60-90 day turnaround" on online ordering, mobile apps, and loyalty. Today is October 31st and not a single thing has been delivered. We have been mislead and fed new deliverable dates multiple times. At this point I am embarrassed I chose to put our brand in the hands of people who seemingly could not care less about our experience or how we are treated.

Best-in-class product built by…

Best-in-class product built by best-in-class people. We feel lucky to work with Lunchbox and the dedicated team there. Especially in the restaurant industry, it is rare to find technology that truly addresses our needs, and it's even rarer to find a company that cares about those needs as deeply as Lunchbox does.
