Order never sent, impossible to reach

I made an order on October 26, and today (Nov 21st) there’s still to update. My emails to support bounce back and “cannot be delivered”, there’s no contact phone number on the website, and nobody responds to my contact form enquiries. Avoid this company

I placed the order on October 27th…



I placed the order on October 27th (1366175)and I still haven’t received it. I wrote twice to request an update and I was sent a link stating that they attempted delivery three times but I was absent, and that the package is now being held for pickup. This is impossible, because we have a concierge that is always open and receives all mail. We did not receive any delivery notices from the courier, nor any notifications explaining where the order is now. I have already written twice and no one has replied.
I spent the whole day calling the Italian postal service to understand what had happened, since I didn’t receive any help on your end. In the end, I found out that the package had been held at a post office far from my home, so this morning I lost almost two hours getting there and I even had to pay 13 euros to collect it. As if that weren’t enough, the magazines arrived damaged because the package wasn’t properly sealed. Your customer service is disastrous, and I will make sure to leave negative feedback. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before.

Unable to contact/No response other than by Trustpilot

Ripped and tatty magazine arrived. Website not functioning and no other way of contacting them. Won’t let me upload picture. Get error message when trying to submit. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I have tried to contact you following your response. Followed your contact us details still Error uploading pictures and submitting the contact form which has my order number on AGAIN. I have tried to submit a number of times. Seems I am not the only person to have this problem. No acknowledgement that the form has been received even. Other companies that use such forms have an automatic receipt sent. I have checked junk mail. I am not happy and would recommend people do not use this company. You are quick to take the order. and the money but when it’s poor service/goods you are not responding. I require the magazine being sent in a good condition please or if you are unable to do that then please provide a full refund including postage.

Simply Christmas…

It is everything and more just as I expected . I will definitely get it again it came within the time expected. And it's great quality the extras that come with the magazine are just the same.

Dreadful experience.

Firstly I couldnt place my order. Sent several messages, I.T. were supposed to get in touch never did. Eventually sorted it myself. Then was contacted to say 1 magazine was no longer available although this was not mentioned on the website. Finally when order was delivered had to pay 10 euros customs duties on top of exorbitant £15 shipping. Dreadful experience. Beware if you order from outside UK!

We are sorry to hear that you has difficulties placing an order and were unhappy with the Import/Custom fee`s, we understand this can be frustrating. Sadly these are out of our control and have become much more complicated since Brexit as each country has set its own rates.

It does explain in the T&C`s on the site that any customs or VAT fees are the responsibility of the customer and that you will need to pay them before receiving your parcel.

Delivery company left half a mile away…

Delivery company left half a mile away on a recycling bin in the rain with torn wrapping so all three mags got wet...your message system will not allow the upload of any images ?!! - Sent two messages been several days and no response or acknowledgement - Pretty poor all round.

BEANO BACK NUMBER

This was the first time I have used Mags Direct as D C Thomson have terminated their back number business. I found the website easy to find and use and the Beano arrived unfolded in perfect condition. Most impressed.

preposterous customs fee

After I paid for the magazine, I received a message from Bpost (Belgian mail company), asking for a €25 customs fee. That would mean one single Olive Magazine issue would cost me €37. I will have to have it returned to sender. Is there any way I can get my money back?

I really wanted the option to cancel…

I really wanted the option to cancel the magazine or at least move the subscription to one that I wanted as I only ever signed up for six months!
