Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the website and user experience to be a nightmare, citing issues with organization, automatic email deletion, and the archive feature. Customers frequently reported problems with logging in, password resets, and account recovery, often encountering error messages and being locked out. The service was also criticized for its lack of functionality, with users expressing frustration over the absence of folders and the limitations of labels. A significant number of consumers were dissatisfied with the customer service, describing it as non-existent, unhelpful, and impossible to reach. They reported being unable to get support for critical issues like account access problems or not receiving emails, leading to a feeling of being abandoned by the company. However, some people found the email service to be convenient for personal tasks and appreciated its synchronization across devices, while a few others mentioned having a positive experience with the service for many years without issues.

I've been using Gmail for quite a…

I've been using Gmail for quite a while, it comes with my phone so I use it, I'm tired of all the spam and ads that comes with it, I've told Gmail numerous times about a Temu ad I keep getting, and I've blocked the ad numerous times but I still keep getting the same as for Temu over and over again, so it doesn't do any good to try and block the ads because you get them anyway, and the spam is ridiculous, Gmail should be up on all this stuff, they should cut down on the ads for one thing and watch to see who's sending emails to me, I've gotten scam emails before on Gmail but they don't seem to do anything about it, that's just my opinion.

My mum cannot access her own account even though I'm not a hacker

I'm try to help my mum account access her own google account, when I try to help her it always says "Couldn't sign you in" then says "You didn’t provide enough info for Google to be sure that this account is really yours. Google asks for this info to keep your account secure."
If possible, try again and use a device on which you’ve signed in before.
If your account is managed with Family Link, we‘ve sent an email to your parent to change your password.
More tips to recover your account. This keeps happening all the time.

Nothing is changing like the same thing all the time why can't I even have the opportunities to recover account? Then when I try to found my mum account it says " account can't be found" This keeps happen again all the time.

Is my mum's account deleted because it is nearly impossible to access her account and it doesn't even make sense why the same thing keeps happening with no process? When I ask Google workers for help they say "There is nothing we can do, you have to keep trying"
How can it be impossible to access your own account, this is absolute madness.

Overwhelming positive review for Gmail

That's literally the best and "THE ONLY" mailing site on earth, seriously, there are no any alternatives for Gmail here.

I saw a different mail site, but... It ended up me changing that mail to Gmail.

Gmail is the most convenient mailing site ever, UNDERRATED on Trustpilot.

Gmail has turned into a nightmare

Gmail has turned into a nightmare. Everything you send goes to spam now because if insane spam filters. Even emails with in my own organization with the same domain go directly to spam. This is a disgrace. My team doesn't get any of my emails unless they check spam and now my clients don't receive my emails. I'm in the process of switching to outlook.

It is impossible to restore an account…

It is impossible to restore an account without Google Authentication, even if you have a phone number from your email. Also, if there is a backup email, then you cannot send an account recovery code to it and remove Google authentication at the moment - immediately. Only if you do a password recovery. But the link to password recovery will come only after 72 hours.

Damn terrible

Damn terrible! Asking you for a phone number (privacy violation!!!) " to confirm you're human" 🙄 and when you give them one that's on your actual simcard, they say "it has been used too many times" Well, I have bought the simcard and I have never used it with gmail?! So you have just wasted my time with nonsense and made me dislike you a little bit more

No meaningful support to resolve issues

I have a strange and major issue with my email. At some point the address started displaying without a dot between my first and last name whereas the actual email has the dot. I didn't alter this. Now, whenever someone wants to email me, they naturally get confused which email is the correct one. I can't change this in the account settings. Also there is no access to gmail human support and none of their articles can help resolve this. It's a typical case of a business that chose the easiest and cheapest solution for them, not for the actual user. So if you use gmail, be mindful that if any issue arises, you won't get any actual help.

Google’s “Verify it’s you” endless-loop account-recovery error prevented me from accessing my account even though I knew the password.

I have a Google account. It is my account, and no, I haven’t been hacked. I know the email address and password, and no one else has access to the password. I have not violated any guidelines. However, despite all this, as of recently, whenever I try to log in, I get an error message that says:

“Verify it’s you. We noticed unusual activity in your Google Account. To keep your account safe, you were signed out. To continue, you’ll need to verify it’s you.”

When I go through the “Account Recovery” steps and enter the correct email, password, and verification code, I receive another error message.

“You didn’t provide enough info for Google to be sure this account is really yours.”

The suggestions help page suggests adding a recovery phone number to receive texts or enabling two-step verification. However, I cannot do either because I cannot log into the account to make any changes. If I attempt the “Account Recovery” process, it sends me into an endless loop, repeatedly asking for the email and password and always resulting in the same error messages. I have had this issue for several days. After searching on the Internet, I found numerous discussions on this issue. The most appalling part is that there is no team to help you.

Volunteers offer identical, unhelpful responses; this constitutes your sole recourse. Redundant security proves unhelpful without staff. I’m flabbergasted at the quality of this service. I had this same annoying issue two years ago, and I barely managed to restore it, but now there are no chances to bring it back. Getting my old YouTube account back would be fantastic; however, it’s impossible. I had no other choice but to switch to Outlook and forget about Google. After I finish this review, I will update my account to avoid this frustration. Thank you for nothing!

NEW PHONE NUMBER - NO ACCESS TO GMAIL ACCOUNT

I changed phone number and lost access to my Gmail account. There is no way to update new phone number. They offer a "recovery", but after successfully login to my account Google again send me authorization code on my registered phone number. No way for update.

We can provide safe online workspaces for all of your work spaces if you require the utmost protection for your data and privacy. However, we can analyze our own emails for any scammers by looking up the sender's address and the URLs of related businesses.
