Mailtrack not suitable if you want to send emails to a google group of more than 1000 members

I have been using Mailtrack for more than two years. I use it mainly for tracking the number of emails opened by members of my Google Group. The software can track upto 1000 opens nicely but after that it fails and shows a message that the number of opens is more than 1000. So if you are having a Google group of more than 1000 members then this software is not useful, you need find some other solution. I tried reasoning with the developers but they could not overcome such a simple limitation of counting more than 1000 opens. Still I'm using this software as it provides many other features like list, campaign, etc.

Allowing them to read my email

Allowing them to read my email. (Gmail)
And they said no one at Mailtrack will read your email.
But it's possible to do so.

Sorry, but we need those permissions to provide the service, for example the read permission allows us to make multiple copies of your emails to allow individual tracking in group emails. However we can assure you that nobody has access to your emails and we don't store that information.

Google Mailtrack Support? HA!

I bought paid Mailtrack service from Google several months ago. For the last month I have been unable to log in to Mailtrack. I keep getting a message, "Sorry, something went wrong there. Try again." Judging by Google's support page for Mailtrack, there are only eight possible problems one can encounter with Mailtrack, and my problem is not one of them. I am unable to locate anyone for support or refund. If the product I paid for is unusable, I expect a refund. Google's Response?

Mailtrack Makes It Easy to Stay On Top of Convos!

I started using Mailtrack a couple years ago and planned only to use it for a small campaign. Well, the campaign bombed (I could have done more to promote it) but I found I couldn't live without Mailtrack any longer.

While I think most would assume those using a mail tracking application are using it primarily for marketing purposes, there are people like me who are simply...forgetful.

Here's an example. I frequently respond to HARO (Help a Reporter Out) inquiries. I used to shoot off an email and forget about it. If they're interested, they'll get in touch.

With Mailtrack, I can automatically be reminded if I haven't received a response - I have mine set to 72 hours.

Even better, I can see if the signature line in Gmail is working. Anyone clicking on my link to my About page?

I also love the old conversation renewal feature. Sometimes you don't hear anything back from a message you sent. You wonder if anyone even gives a damn. It's interesting to see weeks later than someone is reopening an email you sent, and you can click right to it to see, too, what you said.

Sometimes, that's the best time to shoot another email, since you're already on the mind of the person on the other end.

It's kinda funny when we laugh about Big Brother always watching us, and having a sliver of that power in your hands to help you make choices or direct your time and resources.

I would never go with the free version only because it requires the footer that states you are using Mailtrack. It's worth the Pro plan just to remove that.

I currently subscribe to the Advanced Plan coming in at about $120 a year. Due to finances I'll likely downgrade to Pro at $59 annually next time I renew.

Mailtrack wants excessive access to my Gmail

I was looking for functionality that shows if my emails have been read for the Gmail mailbox.
I found Mailtrack. From the description on the Mailtrack website, it seems to "tick all the boxes"; however when installing the Mailtrack software it requires me to grant it permissions to 'Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail'.

I think these are excessive and I will not be using Maltrack. My email account is used as a verification email address for a number of services and I need absolute certainty that I am the only person who can send, delete, read and compose emails in this account.

New excessive permission requests

I've been using Mailtrack Pro for about a year now and it has worked wonders and helped me deal with my business efficiently. However today Friday 6th August, Mailtrack has changed its permissions and now require complete access to my Gmail account. Complete meaning - "Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail". How is that even necessary that they can delete all my emails from Gmail?!? When I queried this with their helpdesk, someone called Jack Abbott replied and sounded like he wanted to help. At first, he denied the new permissions from Mailtrack until I sent him screengrabs of the actual permissions it was asking, and then complete silence. I left it a couple of hours and prompted him again, and he hasn't replied still. This is all very suspicious and I am VERY unhappy about this. It's a breach and their app was working perfectly fine without these new permissions, so why the change? They've just renewed my subscription before dumping these new permissions and their T&Cs say no refund. How very convenient! I've come on here to post this complaint as generally, this has been the only way companies will try to engage again. If they are genuine, why the sudden complete silence from the Helpdesk when I confronted them with proof of their new permissions? Anyway, looking forward to seeing who will be responding to this. In the meantime, I suggest you DO NOT ACCEPT their new permissions. Read their T&Cs CAREFULLY.
