Only two words: Perfect purchase!

I purchased Architect Tool Set last year. There were Høvel pencil plane, Stria folding ruler, and Blackwing pencil in the set. It goes without saying that those are excellent tools.
But what impressed me more was the mail I exchanged with Trisha, the customer service Advisor.
Since I live abroad, I was very embarrassed by the wrong delivery, but she was so kind to provide a solution that I was able to wait without any anxiety or worry.
I've ordered several overseas orders, but I've never been so kind in my life.
Thank you so much to Trisha, who is kind until the end, even though it is my unfamiliar English.

I can’t recommend highly enough, superb quality products which look great and are a joy to use, delivered efficiently.

I ordered the Stria and Ferrule with the leather cases as a Christmas present for my son-in-law (my daughter having suggested them). Although I thought the items were expensive for what they are - basically a folding rule and pencil holder - I was really pleasantly surprised when I received them - yes you may be able to buy similar items at a cheaper price - but the quality and feel of these items ooze quality and luxury. Needless to say my son-in-law was delighted with them and they will be used in his line of work. Thank you for a First Class service Makers Cabinet - quality products which I know will last.

We got the products in time for X-mas . Trisha is a very very nice lady and we had a very nice conversation by e-mail.
The products are top end quality, very well manufactured , very nice boxed.
And the smell is the one you had in the first grade when you went to school .
If you want to surprise somebody with this products , you will not fail :)

My pencil sharpener is fantastic, and beautiful too, and something that will last forever!

I have purchased every product made by Makers Cabinet to date and have been completely wowed by each item they have made!

I originally invested in their first item on Kickstarter - this was the magnificent Iris, which is not only made using such incredibly high quality of materials, but the design is both innovative and nothing short of brilliant.

Similarly, the Høvel pencil sharper is again made to a fantastically high standard and it is almost an insult to simply call it a pencil sharpener.

The third item I purchased via Kickstarter, was the beautifully crafted Stria ruler, which again is so much more than just a ruler - the stunning design elevates the Stria to another level of a ruler.

More recently, I have just received the magnificent Ferule pencil holder, which is their fourth product.

As a colour pencil artist, after I received the Iris, I asked Noah if Makers Cabinet would consider making a pencil holder, so the Ferule has been much anticipated by me and has been a delight to receive.

As ever, this latest product has far exceeded my expectations in terms of both quality and design. I certainly anticipate using the Ferule regularly, to get the most out of all of my coloured pencils.

For me, all of Makers Cabinet’s products, are not only phenomenally designed, using only the best quality materials, but the thought that goes into each item, means the final product is always an absolute joy to receive and to use.

I cannot wait to see what Makers Cabinet will design and produce next and I for one, will be first in the queue to place an order once again!

customer service was outstanding, they immediately arranged to send a replacement when the first iris was lost in the mail then a when the item turned out to be defective, the best part of the story that this happened over the course of a year and a half due to covid.

Love the product! Is exactly as described, have only used a couple of times, can't wait to have more time to use it!

I loved receiving my Hovel when it first arrived, it polished up a treat and sat in its wooden plinth looking lovely, however after a few weeks I noticed that the word 'Hovel' did not seem to be as prominent as the images that other supporters had posted. I got in touch with Customer Support and spoke to Trisha who was amazing, i was asked to send in photo's to show the issue, upon looking at the photos it was suggested that re-polishing might make a difference, in my opinion it didn't, Trisha agreed with me and offered a new Hovel to replace my original, which I accepted as I had grown dissatisfied with my 1st version, this was sorted so quickly and without any hint of malice or that I was being 'picky'. When i received my 2nd Hovel I felt my concerns were justified as the 'Hovel' was clearly defined and made it look perfect.
This is possibly the best customer service I have received from an Internet run provider, it really was the icing on the cake.
Thank You Trisha and thank you Makers Cabinet not only for the original but the much improved replacement, I could not have asked for any more.

I received the Iris and Sharpener as a gift, as I like these types of gadgets that not only look fantastic but also work.
Carefully following the instructions, I was sharpening pencils in no time and creating differently shaped ends. An excellent tool.
The Iris was a tad stiff to operate smoothly, leading to a certain frustration, and contact with customer service had to be made. Trish was very helpful, gave me some hints as to how to get the Iris working and now I have no problem drawing circles.
Anyone interested in these finely engineered tools should seriously consider buying from this company.

I have purchased the Iris (circle), Stria (ruler), and Hovel(sharpener). All three items are both functional and beautifully stylish enough to display on my desk top. But I got a pleasant surprise when using them together.

When using both the Stria and the Hovel I noticed that the thumbscrew for adjusting the tightness of the ruler also fits the blade holder for the sharpener! Support confirmed the two screws are designed to be interchangeable, but the Hovel thumbscrew does not have the adjuster tip. I now use the adjustment thumbscrew to hold the Hovel blade gripper. A brilliant engineering surprise!

Great Customer Service! Excellent quality products of unique and good design. My Hovel pencil sharpener is one of my favorites to use on my more expensive high quality pencils because it provides precise control over how I can sharpen them.
