Fraudulent Behavior and Zero Customer Service – Avoid Manhattan Dresses

On July 3, 2024, I made a purchase from the online store Manhattan Dresses (Order #2224), paying $649 for a Terani 2111P4102 dress in blush, size 8. Payment was processed through my Visa card, and I received an order confirmation with the expectation that the item would be delivered within a reasonable timeframe.

On July 8, 2024, Manhattan Dresses contacted me, stating that the dress was only available as a pre-order and would take a few weeks to arrive. I agreed to wait based on their assurance. However, despite waiting patiently, the dress was never delivered.

By July 31, 2024, after multiple emails with no real answers, I formally requested a refund. Since then, they have completely stopped communicating. They ignored my emails, blocked me on WhatsApp, and stopped answering my phone calls. I gave them every opportunity to resolve the situation politely and directly, but they chose to disappear instead.

It is now the end of April 2025—almost ten months later—and I still have not received the product or my money back. Their behavior is completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and suspicious. They have shown absolutely no interest in honoring their commitment or supporting their customers.

Because of their refusal to respond and their failure to refund my money, I have been forced to initiate a chargeback through my Visa card. I have also documented all communications, including:
• Order confirmation (July 3, 2024)
• Their pre-order notice (July 8, 2024)
• My refund request (July 31, 2024)
• Proof of payment

Manhattan Dresses is not a trustworthy business. Based on my experience, I strongly warn anyone considering a purchase from them: stay away. Losing $649 and being treated with complete disrespect is not something any customer should have to experience.

If you value your time, your money, and your peace of mind, do not buy from Manhattan Dresses.

CRIMINALS

I would give them 0 stars if it were an option! I don't believe this company even exists! I ordered a prom dress for my daughter over 4 weeks ago and it has not arrived, and no one responds to my email messages and/or phone calls (the answering machine/voicemail is void of a prompt). I obviously got swindled. So sad that there are dirtbags that do this kind of thing to honest consumers. The Better Business Bureau, the police, attorneys with civil law suits for small claims, unfavorable social media reviews, news media consumers reports, whatever....GET THE WORD OUT and hold these crooks accountable! Doubtful, but hopeful. This is the new crime of our time. All the brick and mortar operations are going out of business because everyone shops online now. So this is what we get stuck with. We're at the mercy of dishonest, unscrupulous con artists. I don't know if this review will make any difference, but it's my two cents, anyway.

Do not order from this company

Do not order from this company, I repeat, Do not order from the low budget l, non customer service and uterly ridiculous company. I pay $300 back in October for a dress that I need by 11/23/24. I received no tracking information and I had to call the company and I use that work very loosely. The number to the company is a cellphone. I had to call 20 or more times back to back to get someone to pick up. They take your money knowing that they don’t have the inventory in hand. She gave me a lame excuse that the dress sold out when she waited an entire month to contact the distributor. They need to close this company down!! Now I have 5 days to find a dress. 🤬

AWFUL

I ordered a dress and few weeks ago. Received an order confirmation by email. The payment was pending in my account for 7 days and my bank cancelled payment. I have emailed a few times with no response. Very disappointing. The dress was £600.

I have ordered 2 dresses from them for…

I have ordered 2 dresses from them for a wedding which said was available on their website, after nearly waiting 2 weeks of them saying it’s processing it will take 5-7 business days they come back to me saying they don’t have the dress’s available, I have been trying to cancel and get my money back for days but they still haven’t canceled and still no sign of my money. I have my sisters wedding in a week and have no dress and no money to buy another one
I just hope I get my money back
I do not recommend anyone to order from this website

THEY ARE A SCAM - DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!

I wish I had read the other reviews before I placed an order from this place. This place is the worst - After 2 weeks of placing an order, I do not yet have a tracking number and no updates either. Even after paying top dollars, I am receiving the worst customer service. Their policy is to ship in 4-7 business days and they really are in breach of their policy.

Don’t order from here!

Don’t order from here! They have a 20% restocking fee. Which is unreasonable, especially since they don’t have a brick and mortar store you can go into. I placed an order on September 14th ordering some dresses for my wedding. I didn’t want the typical white dress. They called to let me know they received the order and to inform me of the return policy. They told me they weren’t sure what items they had in stock and were going to check. I had less than a month to my wedding and wanted to see what my options were. They never called me back and I moved on. I found my dress and got married on 10/10, but found a charge on my card 10/7 in the amount of $2,400 for the dresses I’ve ordered. I’ve called them 3 times and left messages with no reply. This is inexcusable!
