Mariner Finance, LLC (“Mariner”) and/or WebBank, as applicable, (collectively “Lender,” “we,” or “us,” as applicable) offers personal loans from $1,000 to $25,000, with minimum and maximum amounts dependent on the underwriting of the loan and subject to applicant’s satisfaction of eligibility requirements and approval by Lender, and an applicant’s state of residence for Mariner-originated loans. Terms and conditions apply.

†Online loans between $1,500 and $14,000, originated by WebBank, except online loans in CA and MD originated by Mariner Finance, LLC. Loans greater than $14,000 or less than $1,500 may be originated by Mariner through Mariner’s branch network. Any stated APR represents the cost of credit as an estimated yearly rate, and each applicant’s specific interest rates and fees are determined as permitted under federal or state law (as applicable) based upon loan amount, term, the applicant’s ability to meet specific credit criteria including, but not limited to, credit history at the time of application, income, debt payment obligations, and other factors such as availability of collateral, and state of residency for Mariner-originated loans. Not all applicants will qualify for the lowest rates or larger loan amounts, which may require a first lien on a motor vehicle not more than ten years old titled in the applicant’s name with valid insurance. Any loan by phone and/or online closing process requires a compatible mobile or computer device on which you can access your email and electronic documents. Not all loan types are eligible for loan by phone or online loan closing.

*The process uses a “soft” credit inquiry to determine whether a loan offer is available, which does not impact your credit score. If you continue with the application process online and accept a loan offer, or are referred to a branch and continue your application there, we will pull your credit report and credit score again using a “hard” credit inquiry. This “hard” credit inquiry may impact your credit score.

**Mariner Finance’s 15-Day Satisfaction Guarantee provides that if, for any reason, you inform us that you are dissatisfied with your loan and you repay it in full within 15 days of the date of the loan in the form of cash or certified funds, all finance charges will be waived with no penalties. A cancellation of your Mariner Finance loan will not impact, affect, and/or cancel the terms of any purchase of a vehicle or other item(s) with the proceeds of your loan. Additionally, your return to the dealer or seller of any vehicle or other item(s) purchased with your loan proceeds will not constitute a cancellation of your Mariner Finance loan.

Unbelievable!

Have never experienced such asinine policies with no flexibility for more than qualified customers with excellent credit. It is easier to get a mortgage or HELOC than Mariner’s measly 12 month interest-free promotion.

The agreement clearly and prominently outlines all loan terms, including promotional periods, finance charges, and late fees. The "Same As Cash" option is an addition to your loan, and the specific details can be found at the bottom half of page one of your contract. "We will waive all finance charges if you pay an amount equal to the Amount Financed within 365 days after the Date of Agreement (Same As Cash period)." You must make your payments on time as well or Finance Charges will be assessed according to the disclosed terms on your loan agreement. I m made the first payment thru my bank…

I m made the first payment thru my bank account online and was charge interest . I made a LARGE payment . The contract says that if paid off in the first year there is no interest. This iS DECEPTIVE practices and I will make sure I use someone else like Wells fargo . Ive used many credit purchases for the no interest in 1 year and ive never been treated like this by other companies.

The terms of your loan, including promotional periods, finance charges, and late fee assessment, are clearly and prominently displayed on the signed loan agreement. The Same As Cash promotional period is an ADDITION to the loan agreement and the details can be found at the top of page 2 of your contract. The contract includes a “same as cash” (SAC) option that states “We will waive all Finance Charges if you pay an amount equal to the Amount Financed within 360 days after the Date of Contract.” The contract also states, “You must make scheduled payments during the Same as Cash Period. If you fail to make any scheduled payment on time or if you don’t pay an amount equal to the amount financed during the Same as Cash period, the Same as Cash option ends”. In your Online Account Center, the Make A Payment Section will show you the day's payoff amount which is your balance including the promotion. If you have any further questions or need further clarification, please call your local branch servicing your account or our Customer Relations Department at (844) 338-2080 and we will be happy to assist you.

Be careful in choosing a loan company

Up til this week I've had great interactions with Mariner Finance, Glen Burnie, Maryland branch. I had decided to make my monthly payment early in the month of August 2025. I verified this anticipated move with our loan preparer (Jonae) along with the fact of using my bank account instead of my husband's which was lined up for automatic withdraws. She said it was fine. So there I made a early payment of a few hundred dollars feeling good about it. About a week later a few hundred was taken out of my husband's bank account causing it to overdraft. We reported this immediately wondering how did this happen. To date, we still are offered no explanation. They had us running around getting different information from us from our banks as though we were in the wrong. We feel they had no intention of returning the funds only to credit it to September's payment. Finally we asked to receive at least the overdraft fee we were charged. We couldn't accommodate their wants as we had no funds after they caused our overdraft. We can offer anyone dealing with this company to please be really careful cause this could happen to you.

It seems that our AutoPay feature was not clearly reviewed by the local branch office and we would like to clear up any remaining confusion. When recurring payments are set, they will process each month on the payment due date, regardless if extra payments or “early” payments are made. This is by design due to many customers opting to make extra payments to pay off their loan early to save on finance charges/interest or for our Sales Finance loans that have a Same-As-Cash promotion where payments cannot be late and the balance must be paid by the promotion’s expiration date. After review of your account, it seems your local branch did provide the refund of overdraft charges as you requested. If you have any further questions or need assistance with an issue in the future, please reach out to our Customer Relations Department at (844) 338-2080.

This place will work with you to try to get a loan you need

Well I got a check from them and I wanted to see if I can get a little more plus lower APR well at first didn't meet the criteria of getting a little more then Elizabeth said she'll see if I can get the APR lowered and sent everything to the underwriters didn't think they would get back so fast and they did with good news that I was going to get the a little amount I asked for and plus the check I had that added up to what I asked for did an amazing job. And they had it so easy to do the paper work a computer on the desk with a pen thing to just hit where I sign the big banks don't got that it's writing your signature out they got a nice advance computer.

Customer Service at the Carlise

Customer Service at the Carlise, Pa location is absolutely horrible, they always like to do a play on words to make you feel incompetent, very rude, I mean seriously if you can't handle being a CSR then don't be one. They always hang up on you because they don't know how to transfer phone calls and computers are down just about every time we call. The app never works. Doesn't exactly feel like our information is safe with them after constant tech issues. Buy a freaking computer use a tech department, upgrade something. At the end of the day its CSR is why I am making this complaint. Train your people or hire people that actually know the work. Worst financial institution we have ever used would not recommend and will never use them again. I recommend staying away from the Carlise facility until the lot of them are fired. They should just close this location.

I have used this company in the past…

I have used this company in the past without issues. However, I recently applied for a loan. I received multiple phone calls as well as emails telling me to contact my local branch (Orlando) to discuss the options. Once I called the local branch I was informed that my application couldn't be found in the system. I was given the number to call the corporate office. I waited for over 2 hours and no one answered. I called back to the local branch and spoke with a different gentleman who stated that he found the application, but it was rejected. I inquired as to why the app and my online account stated "to contact the local branch to discuss the options" instead of saying the application was rejected and he could not provide a proper answer. I feel that this is nothing more than a ploy to get personal information, and the fact that I wasted 3 hours to be given this answer is unprofessional and unworthy of anyone's business!!

I have a loan from Marnier

I have a loan from Marnier, It was started with a unsolicited check. Every month, Marnier Finance calls me with an offer to give me additional money, I have refused every month. Isn't this the definition of predatory lending? Isn't such an illegal practice?
