This company is definitely a scam

This company is definitely a scam. I actually brought this as a gift for someone and was soo embarrassed when they were unable to book and I tried contacting as well as go through PayPal but had no luck on refund still to this day! Complete fraud and nothing that can be done like many of the customers below. I had actually used one of my massages but even then didn’t get told they were shutting down.

I worked as a therapist for M2M and…

I worked as a therapist for M2M and believe me they treated staff just as bad. We only received £25 out of the fee they charged . Sent us to places on top floors with no lift . And expected me to massage on someone’s bed as I could get my couch up the stairs.
All the negative reviews are true and the positive ones, we’ll you were lucky .
Hope they’ve gone bust. Threatend me when I made a negative comment about them .

This company is stealing peoples money with no chance of refunding!

The company have dissolved meaning that you can't book a massage or claim a refund anymore. They say to go through PayPal however they refuse as it is over the alloted time for claims. I have tried emailing and calling and cannot get through. My partner bought me a pregnancy massage for my birthday last year but due to health complications I couldn't book until a few months after I had my daughter however the email sent states there is no set time limit on booking so I thought it would be fine however now I cannot book or get a refund meaning that my birthday gift has gone to waste! They could have sent a blanket email to all customers when they knew this was happening so that we at least got a chance of a refund considering there is no time limit on experiences! but have opted to take the money and run instead! 😡

Is it a scam? Still waiting on my refund after several months

I am still unsure if this company has scammed me or they have genuinely gone bust. I paid for a massage for my wife who was pregnant in January. She was ready to have the massage in June, contacted the company to book only to find out from them that they had decided to stop trading. They do not respond to phonecall or email.

Absolutely abysmal experience, avoid!

Absolutely abysmal experience with this company.

Do not book with them. Shocking customer service. Sent multiple emails enquiring when could I book the massage and it took weeks for them to finally admit that they have no massage therapist in the area and would issue a full refund.

Cut to months after this and still no refund. The company are now claiming that all refunds should be claimed via PayPal as they are having difficulties issuing it themselves. It has been months of frustrating email exchanges and getting nowhere. What a terrible way to start maternity leave, having to deal with such an unscrupulous company and who have no issues with hanging on to people's hard earned money and failing to offer services that have been fully paid for. Just awful.

Claiming they went bankrupt but have not refunded me

I booked a set of four massages for £99 in the May sale and selected the postnatal option. After the baby came I got in touch with M2M to arrange for the massages. No reply on call centre. I emailed and received an automated reply telling me that M2M has now closed and I will be getting a refund. The link provided in the email did not work (https://www. paypal. com/us/webapps/mpp/security/buyer-protection-resolution). I paid on card, not through Paypal, and so there is no record of this payment on Paypal which the company are claiming will give me back my money. To date, I have not been able to get through to anyone at M2M on a one-to-one basis to ask about when they will refund me my money. I have been talking to Citizens Advice Bureau about how to get my money back. As far as I am concerned, these people took my money and ran away with it.

£50 upfront payment with no refund when no one was available on the day I wished

Made me pay a £50 deposit in sept and there wasn’t anyone available in the area on that day I was only in Manchester at a hotel for one day for my baby moon so wasn’t able to do any other day. Said they would refund me. DIDNT! i forgot all about it with me having the baby soon after. Contacted them again may. They apologised and said they processed the refund again still haven’t. Now phone lines are closed for good. Looking on companies house this company is now dissolved. SCAM!

Call centre permanently closed

Call centre permanently closed. I’ve tried multiple times to contact the company through email and over the phone, and failed on each occasion, meaning I can’t book the additional three treatments I ordered as a gift for my wife.
Avoid.

Avoid! Feel totally conned

Oh my goodness. I can’t believe I’m having the same awful experience as so many others. I never write bad reviews, however when there’s a company taking money from pregnant women & not refunding them when they fail to provide the service I think they should be named & shamed. My massage got cancelled on the actual morning of my appointment so I requested a refund as I was so upset I decided to go to a shop that same day instead. It wasn’t convenient just to reschedule as I’d arranged childcare for that day!

I was told I would receive my refund within 2 weeks. It’s now been 3 weeks & still no refund. Someone finally emailed me back & told me to claim through PayPal but having spoken to PayPal they won’t refund because they said the company haven’t provided a refund. When I call them they’re constantly closed. Appalling company!!

Without your specific details so we can locate you on our system it is of course difficult for us to comment on exactly what has occurred in this case however we can speak more generally about the issues you have experienced.

Due to a change in our working relationship with PayPal we are having difficulties manually processing refunds however it is important that any impacted customers are made aware of the following:

ALL payments made to Massage 2 Mummy by credit card, debit card or using a PayPal account have been processed by PayPal as they have always been our card payment processor regardless of whether a customer has used a PayPal account when making their purchase or not. ANY payment processed by PayPal for any product or service including ours, whether or not it was made using a PayPal account or a credit or debit card is automatically covered by PayPal's Buyer Protection Guarantee. This is one of the reasons we have always used them as it ensures peace of mind for any client purchasing any service.

This guarantee means that if for any reason you have not received your product or service you have the ability to claim that money back directly through PayPal using their online payment dispute and claim process. You DO NOT require the seller to initiate any kind of refund at their end to utilise this process and you are guaranteed to receive your refund unless the seller can prove beyond doubt that you have in fact received the product or service for which you have paid.

Details of how to initiate this claim will be on the PayPal receipt you would have received when making your original payment and can be found on the PayPal website. We absolutely appreciate this is not ideal but currently this represents the quickest way to ensure you receive the refund to which you are entitled.

With regards to the service generally, it is certainly not our intention to make anyone feel "conned". We have provided this service for a number of years to 1000s of happy customers and you will note that prior to this recent PayPal issue we had over 90% glowing reviews leading to a 4.5 Star Trustpilot rating. Unfortunately this refund issue along with the fact that many therapist have had to leave us, often abruptly due to the huge increases in cost of travel consequently leading to the need for additional refunds have meant a snowballing problem that we are doing our absolute best to mitigate for the clients we have let down.

They just want the money... no refund!

It looks like everyone is having the same issue chasing refunds. I booked a specific date and time, and they changed it. I then wanted to cancel, then radio silence since. I paid via Paypal so raised a dispute with them (you have 180 days to make one). Also if you paid with credit card, you can raise a section 75 claim within 120 days. We don't need this hassle. STAY CLEAR

Haven’t received my refund!

Pregnant women should not having to be chasing their money during this time of their lives!! Disgusting service.

Failing to provide my refund

I was promised a full refund on 18.05.2022 and ensured money would be returned to my account within 14 days. It is now 15.06.2022 - my emails are being ignored and everytime I call apparently the call centre is closed. Disgraceful service. They owe me £149!! Don't bother using this company, your money is safer with a local salon who specialise in pregnancy massages. I have now opened a dispute with PayPal.

Started well then went downhill !!!

Booked a prenatal & postnatal massage and paid in full. Prenatal one was done in Feb & was fine, therapist was great. Had baby in March , since then I’ve been trying to book a massage and was told there’s no therapists available in my area but that I could get a refund.

I’ve been chasing this refund since April and kept getting told ‘only the manager can do it, he’ll contact you’
He rang once and left a voicemail saying to call back for a refund, when I did the operator told me she’d let him know and I’d get another call back as only he can take my details (how odd)

No follow up phone call, I’ve reached out via email a few times & no response, still waiting

Now the phone lines don’t work either

The therapist who did my prenatal massage told me she left as the place was poorly run & that she hadn’t been paid

Also I see they’ve responded to reviews on here but still not my emails giving me a refund

Would not recommend at all I booked a…

Would not recommend at all I booked a massage for a postnatal massage but had to change to a pre natal as I found out I was pregnant again. The therapist refused to do my massage as I had not gone past the first trimester and I felt she did not want to complete the massage in the first place as she had changed my day and time of my original booking. When I contacted massage to mummy about this I was first ignored with my original email and then was robbed off with the fact that I should have looked on the website. They did not take any responsibility and I was not compensated at all. Disgusting service. In addition to this when you try to call them you can’t get through you have to use email to liaise with them and this isn’t always picked up.

Would never use them again!!

Also it’s funny how your quick to reply to your reviews but take ages to reply to email. Considering you deal with women who are pregnant and in postnatal you lack empathy and compassion.

Also you say that I emailed you only once which is not true I also emailed On Tuesday at 1.14 to let you know about the change in my appointment which was ignored. You are quick to argue with customers with evidence yet can not admit to your own mistakes. I will not comment on this further as I don’t want to waste my time with a company like yourself.

I advise anyone who would think of using this company in the future to stay away as you can see from there replies to the other bad reviews that they don’t take accountability for THEIR mistakes and are quick to blame their customers!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to review our service however I’m afraid we cannot agree with your characterisation of events.

Firstly, with regards to your treatment itself, as you point out you booked and paid for a postnatal massage. Only when our therapist arrived to provide your treatment did you inform her that this would now be a prenatal massage and that you were still within the first 12 weeks of your pregnancy. This treatment is not considered safe for those in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and our are not therapists insured to provide treatment during this period so quite rightly our therapist refused to provide treatment. To have provided treatment would have been potentially dangerous.

Had you made us aware at any point that you wished to change your treatment to a prenatal treatment we would have confirmed with you the number of weeks pregnant that you were and looked to arrange the treatment for after the 12 week mark. Sadly, you did not do this and so our therapist was left with no choice.

The idea that the therapist did not “want to complete the massage” is simply not true. Our therapist went to the time and expense to travel to your home to provide this treatment and was prevented from doing so only for your own safety as a result of incorrect information you provided as detailed above.

You were not "fobbed off". Both we and our therapist provided full detail as to why this treatment could not go ahead. Again, this was for YOUR safety.

Lastly, no email from you has been “ignored” nor failed to be “picked up”:

You emailed us for the first time to book your treatment date using your postnatal treatment voucher on 24th May 14:25. We replied with booking options 4 minutes later at 14:29.

You replied to this email the following day, 25th may at 13:13 and we responded 7 minutes later at 13:20 and sent a full booking confirmation at the same time.

You replied to that email at 15:03 confirming you were happy with the appointment.

You emailed on 2nd June (a bank holiday) at 10:31AM following your appointment to complain that our therapist was unable to provide treatment. We replied at 11:37AM.

You responded to this email at 12:25PM claiming you had in fact informed us of the change to a prenatal massage by phone. We replied to this at 15:47 asking you when you had contacted us so we could confirm this via our call logs and you did not respond except with the above review.

To conclude, we have responded to every contact from yourself swiftly and without delay and you only did not receive your treatment because you provided incorrect information. To provide treatment would have been unsafe for both yourself and your unborn child.

I booked two sessions and somehow I got…

I booked two sessions and somehow I got to call daily to book the second session. There is no way you book the second session online. You have to call and wait them to call you back which doesn’t happen and I have to call again to remind them. It’s quite an exhausting service, I prefer to book my self and arrange it directly with the therapist.

Our records indicate that you made a booking online on 25th April for 2 treatments. You requested the first take place on 30th April and this was completed.

You then contacted us on 4th May to book your 2nd Session. A member of the team called you back immediately and as your preferred dates were unavailable we offered to contact the therapist who provided your first treatment directly to enquire as to additional availability.

The therapist confirmed that evening that she could provide an additional date that very weekend on 8th May. When our team came in the next morning, the therapist had already contacted you directly and confirmed this date with you. The treatment was carried out as agreed.

Where clients have purchased more than one treatment, they have the option of booking their 2nd treatment directly with ourselves via phone or email or with the therapist when she attends the 1st appointment. I am very sorry to hear that this system is not to your liking but we find it is the best way of providing this service. We will of course continue to review this.

It was so relaxing, the lady was really lovely and made me feel really comfortable. It really helped to relax, ive had terrible pain throughout my pelvis and back. I wont lie, it still hurts but it was nice relief for a short time.
