Mavis tried to charge me $800 to…

Mavis tried to charge me $800 to replace a power window switch — $500 for the part alone, plus a $90 diagnostic fee even though I walked in already knowing the problem and telling them the exact part I needed. I looked it up myself: the OEM part is $110-115, aftermarket is $85. I ordered it and swapped it myself in under 2 minutes — no tools, no skill required, just plug and pop. This wasn’t a diagnostic mistake, it was a blatant attempt to overcharge someone who didn’t do their homework. Charging a full diagnostic fee when the customer already identified the exact issue and part is just padding the bill. Avoid this location unless you enjoy paying 5-7x markup on parts and fees for work that wasn’t even needed. Do your own research before trusting any quote here.
